Abstract
The cyclopropanation of alkenyl boronates and subsequent derivatization of the boronate handle are a convenient strategy to quickly build molecular complexity and access diverse compounds with a high sp3 fraction. Herein, we describe the asymmetric cyclopropanation of enantioenriched hydrobenzoin-derived alkenyl boronic esters toward the synthesis of tertiary and secondary cyclopropyl boronates.

Abstract
A practical route to optically pure syn-homocrotylation reagents is described, including highly diastereo- and enantioselective preparation of numerous syn-homocrotyl products, as well as several matched mismatched pairs. NMR experiments suggest that the active homocrotylating species is a cyclopropylcarbinyldichloroborane generated by chloride exchange from the PhBCl(2) activator. Computational studies support the intermediacy of chloroboranes and suggest that homoallyl/homocrotyl transfers occur through Zimmerman-Traxler transition states.

Abstract
Tartrate-derived (2R,3R)-1,4-dimethoxy-1,1,4,4-tetraphenylbutane-2,3-diol has found diverse applications in asymmetric organic synthesis. Among these, its utilization as a protecting group for boronic acids has been investigated extensively. Besides being extraordinarily stable and thus allowing a plethora of transformations, it enables access to various diastereo- and enantiomerically pure organoboron reagents and versatile intermediates in asymmetric synthesis.

Abstract
A diastereoselective synthesis of trans-2-substituted cyclopropanols is outlined. Bimetallic CH(2)(ZnI)(2) was found to react with α-chloroaldehydes to give cyclopropanols in yields of 64-89% and dr's ≥ 10:1. The high trans-selectivity resulted from equilibration of the cyclopropoxide intermediates.
