Abstract
INTRODUCTION Considering the increasing number of conservative surgeries (quadrantectomies) for primary breast carcinoma, especially in the early stages, often followed by adjuvant radiotherapy, the incidence of radiation-associated angiosarcoma (RAS) is expected to rise in the coming decades, and it will represent a clinical and therapeutic challenge, as limited data are available due to the rarity and heterogeneity of the disease. Though the prognosis of these patients is poor, a number of clinical and pathological factors can be evaluated to better understand the course of RAS. The aim of this systematic review is to explore the available clinical-pathological, therapeutic, and prognostic data regarding RAS to evaluate its occurrence, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes. METHOD RAS clinical data were identified by a systematic review conducted in five different databases (Medline, Web of Knowledge, Google Scholar, Scopus, and Cochrane). Only RAS works published in English, with access to the full manuscript text, and with clear results, were considered as eligible. RESULTS We considered 52 papers comprising 319 RAS cases. The patient age at diagnosis ranged from 37 to 93 years, with most cases occurring from 5 to 10 years after breast irradiation. The most common clinical presentation was an aggressive development of macules, papules, or erythematous-violaceous skin discoloration at the site of previous radiation treatment for primary breast carcinoma. Complete surgical excision appeared to be the first-line treatment of the disease, in some cases followed by adjuvant local and/or systemic therapies. Despite different treatments, local recurrence rates ranged from 40% to 90%, leading to negative outcomes and poor prognosis for patients. CONCLUSION Although the literature is limited and the data are heterogeneous and contentious, our review aims to highlight the importance of early diagnosis, multimodal treatment, and long-term follow-up of RAS in order to limit and prevent the aggressiveness of this neoplasm.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Breast conservation surgery (BCS) with adjuvant radiotherapy has become a gold standard in the treatment of early-stage breast cancer, significantly reducing the risk of tumor recurrence. However, this treatment is associated with adverse effects, including the rare but aggressive radiation-induced angiosarcoma (RIAS). Despite its rarity and nonspecific initial presentation, RIAS presents a challenging diagnosis, emphasizing the importance of imaging techniques for early detection and accurate diagnosis. CASE SUMMARY We present a case of a 48-year-old post-menopausal woman who developed skin ecchymosis on the right breast seven years after receiving BCS and adjuvant radiotherapy for breast cancer. Initial mammography and ultrasound were inconclusive, showing post-treatment changes but failing to identify the underlying angiosarcoma. Contrast-enhanced breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed diffuse skin thickening and nodularity with distinctive enhancement kinetics, leading to the diagnosis of RIAS. This case highlights the crucial role of MRI in diagnosing and determining the extent of RIAS, facilitating timely and appropriate surgical intervention. CONCLUSION Breast MRI is crucial for detecting RIAS, especially when mammography and ultrasound are inconclusive.

Abstract
We describe a rare case of a 77-year-old woman with radiation-induced breast angiosarcoma (RIAS) in whom radical surgery with negative margins determined that at 14-month of follow-up there is no evidence of either local or systemic recurrence without having to resort to adjuvant chemotherapy.

Abstract
Breast angiosarcoma is a rare malignancy of endothelial origin that can be categorized as primary angiosarcoma (PAS) or secondary angiosarcoma (SAS) based on etiology. Primary angiosarcoma typically affects younger women with no known risk factors, whereas SAS of the breast typically develops in older women who have undergone breast cancer treatment. There are two types of SAS, one that develops in the setting of chronic lymphedema and one that develops as a radiation-associated neoplasm after breast-conserving therapy (BCT). Clinically, PAS often presents as a palpable mass that may be rapidly growing, whereas SAS presents with skin changes such as erythematous plaques or nodules or with areas of skin discoloration. Mammographically, the appearance of PAS can be nonspecific and may be obscured by the dense tissue that is characteristic of the young patient population it typically affects. Cases of mammographically occult PAS have been visible at US and MRI. Mammography and US have been found to be less sensitive than MRI for the diagnosis of secondary radiation-associated angiosarcoma. Angiosarcomas, both PAS and SAS, are graded, depending on degree of differentiation, as low, intermediate, or high grade. Endothelial markers such as ERG and CD31 immunohistochemical stains are used to support the diagnosis of angiosarcomas. In this article, we review the clinical presentation, imaging findings, associated histopathology, and treatment of primary and secondary breast angiosarcoma.

Abstract
Angiosarcoma of the breast is a rare breast cancer, which can arise de novo (primary breast angiosarcoma, PBA) or as a secondary malignancy (secondary breast angiosarcoma, SBA) as a result of a biological insult. In the latter case, it is usually diagnosed in patients with a previous history of radiation therapy following a conserving treatment for breast cancer. Over the years, the advances in early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, with increasing use of breast-conserving surgery and radiation therapy (instead of radical mastectomy), brought about an increased incidence of the secondary type. PBA and SBA have different clinical presentations and often represent a diagnostic challenge due to the nonspecific imaging findings. The purpose of this paper is to review and describe the radiological features of breast angiosarcoma, both in conventional and advanced imaging to guide radiologists in the diagnosis and management of this rare tumor.

Abstract
Due to its rarity, literature pertaining to radiation-associated breast angiosarcoma (RAS) remains sparse, with most studies focusing on retrospective review. Of more significant concern is the ambiguity of screening recommendations and modalities used to detect RAS, with current guidelines focusing on yearly mammographic imaging for women who underwent lumpectomy with radiation. Unfortunately, routine post-cancer screening has demonstrated low sensitivity in detecting RAS, often mistaking it for benign changes in roughly half of cases. We present an 83-year-old woman initially diagnosed with stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma of the left breast who underwent a lumpectomy followed by radiation with 6040 cGy. Five years after her initial diagnosis, the patient noticed a suspicious lesion which then led her to undergo multiple modalities of imaging that described benign features. After continued concern, a biopsy was taken that demonstrated RAS of the left breast within the irradiated site. The patient underwent further radiation and declined surgical intervention. Routine screening with mammography and ultrasonography following breast radiation treatment are not sensitive modalities in detecting RAS. High-risk patient groups treated with greater than 0.5 Gy of radiation with concerning physical features 2-10 years after treatment should undergo MRI with biopsy at the initial concern to rule out angiosarcoma. Benign findings on imaging with patients in these groups should also consider biopsy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Breast angiosarcoma may arise spontaneously (primary breast angiosarcoma (PBA)) or may arise secondary to a biological insult, such as radiation therapy (secondary breast angiosarcoma (SBA)). We evaluated the imaging findings of patients diagnosed with PBA and SBA within the province of British Columbia, Canada. MATERIALS AND METHODS This was a multi-center, retrospective study of patients diagnosed with PBA and SBA over a 25-year period. Patients were identified via a provincial database which registers all cases of sarcoma. Patients diagnosed with histologically proven PBA and SBA were eligible for inclusion. Multimodal breast imaging reviewed included mammography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography. RESULTS Thirteen patients were diagnosed with PBA and 22 patients were diagnosed with SBA. The median (interquartile range (IQR)) age of patients diagnosed with PBA (45.5 years (19.7 years)) was less than that of patients diagnosed with SBA (75.8 years (13.8 years), P < .001). Patients diagnosed with PBA (90.9%) were more likely to present with a parenchymal mass clinically and radiographically than those with SBA (28.6%, P < .002). Patients diagnosed with SBA (71.4%) were more likely to present with cutaneous findings than patients diagnosed with PBA (0.0%, P < .05). Without specific clinical context, the imaging findings of PBA and SBA were observed to be non-specific. CONCLUSION This is the only study which evaluated the imaging findings of patients diagnosed with PBA and SBA within a large, defined geographical area. Given non-specific imaging findings, awareness of the disease and clear and timely communication between radiologists and clinicians is required to ensure appropriate diagnosis and management.

Abstract
Radiation-associated angiosarcoma of the breast (RAASB) is a rare and aggressive malignancy occurring after radiation therapy as part of breast cancer treatment. RAASB usually presents several years after prior radiation and typically involves the skin with or without involvement of the parenchyma. Most RAASB are detected as cutaneous changes on physical exam. Herein, we present a unique case of a clinically occult RAASB diagnosed as non-mass enhancement on annual surveillance breast MRI.

Abstract
Radiation-induced breast sarcomas (RIBS) are rare entities representing <1% of all primary breast malignancies, limiting most reports to small retrospective case series. They constitute a heterogeneous group of neoplasms, with high-grade angiosarcoma being the most common subtype. Other sarcoma histotypes, such as undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma and leiomyosarcoma, can also be identified. Radiation-induced breast angiosarcoma (RIBA) has an incidence of approximately 0.1% after breast-conserving therapy and arises mainly from the dermis of the irradiated breast. MYC gene amplification is highly indicative of secondary breast angiosarcomas. Their clinical presentation often mimics benign port-radiation lesions, leading to a delay in diagnosis and a lost window of opportunity for cure. Surgery with negative margins is the mainstay of treatment of localized RIBS. In the case of angiosarcoma, technical difficulties, including multifocality, infiltrative margins, and difficulty in assessing tumor margins, render surgical treatment quite challenging. A limited number of studies showed that adjuvant radiation therapy reduces local recurrences; therefore, it is proposed by many groups for large, high-grade tumors. Chemotherapy has been evaluated retrospectively in a small subset of patients, with some evidence supporting its use in angiosarcoma patients. Approximately half of patients with RIBA will show local recurrence. In the advanced setting, different therapeutic options are discussed in the review, including chemotherapy, antiangiogenic therapy, and immunotherapy, whereas the need for further research on molecular therapeutic targets is pointed out.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Radiation-associated angiosarcoma of the breast (RAASB) is a serious late consequence caused by breast cancer treatment. Initial symptoms are often inconspicuous, thus contributing to diagnostic delay. Most previous studies of the diagnostic aspects of RAASB are case reports. PURPOSE To perform a complete review of the imaging findings and biopsy methods in a nationwide RAASB cohort. MATERIAL AND METHODS RAASB patients were identified from a national cancer registry and additional patients were included from our hospital. All available information from imaging (mammogram [MGR], ultrasound [US], magnetic resonance imaging [MRI], and computed tomography [CT]) and biopsies was reviewed. The sensitivity of imaging and biopsy methods for detection of RAASB was calculated. RESULTS Fifty-eight patients with RAASB were found. Fourteen MGR, 30 US, 24 MRI, and 25 CT studies were available for evaluation. The sensitivity of MGR, US, MRI, and CT for detection of RAASB was 43%, 50%, 92%, and 84%, respectively. Superior sensitivity was demonstrated for punch biopsy (84%) and incisional biopsy (93%) compared to fine-needle aspiration cytology (0%) and core needle biopsy (18%). CONCLUSION MRI and CT have comparable sensitivity for detection of RAASB, while MGR and US are unreliable. However, negative findings in MRI or CT must be interpreted with caution. Punch biopsy and incisional biopsy are the preferred biopsy methods.

Abstract
Angiosarcomas are rare, aggressive soft tissue sarcomas originating from endothelial cells of lymphatic or vascular origin and associated with a poor prognosis. The clinical and imaging features of angiosarcomas are heterogeneous with a wide spectrum of findings involving any site of the body, but these most commonly present as cutaneous disease in the head and neck of elderly men. MRI and CT are complementary imaging techniques in assessing the extent of disease, focality and involvement of adjacent anatomical structures at the primary site of disease. CT plays an important role in the evaluation of metastatic disease. Given the wide range of imaging findings, correlation with clinical findings, specific risk factors and patterns of metastatic disease can help narrow the differential diagnosis. The final diagnosis should be confirmed with histopathology and immunohistochemistry in combination with clinical and imaging findings in a multidisciplinary setting with specialist sarcoma expertise. The purpose of this review is to describe the clinical and imaging features of primary sites and metastatic patterns of angiosarcomas utilising CT and MRI.

Abstract
Purpose of review The purpose is to present a case series of rare diagnoses and unusual presentations of breast lesions with radiologic-pathologic correlation from a major cancer center, and to review the recent literature on each entity with a focus on radiology-pathology concordance. We present our findings and experience from cases of metastatic small cell lung carcinoma to the breast, IgG-4 related breast disease, breast implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma, granular cell tumor, pleomorphic sarcoma, adenomyoepithelioma, post-radiation angiosarcoma, and breast carcinoma after risk-reducing total mastectomy. Recent findings It is essential for physicians to have knowledge of rare breast diagnoses and unusual breast disease presentations to formulate a complete differential diagnosis, recognize radiological-pathological concordance of these entities and provide appropriate patient care. Summary Current literature on these rare described entities exists mainly as case reports, case series and small-scale studies. By sharing our findings, we hope to educate trainees in radiology, pathology and other fields across the continuum of care in radiologic-pathologic correlation, while also augmenting the existing literature on these rare entities.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Primary breast angiosarcoma is a rare malignancy with non-specific clinical and radiological findings. CASE REPORT A 30-year-old lady presented with left breast pain and lumpiness for over one year. She has had several breast ultrasounds (US) and was treated for acute mastitis and abscess. Subsequently, in view of the rapid growth of the lump and worsening pain, she was re-investigated with US, elastography, digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) and MRI. MRI raised the suspicion of angiosarcoma. The diagnosis was confirmed after biopsy and she underwent mastectomy. DISCUSSION Literature review on imaging findings of breast angiosarcoma, especially on MRI, is discussed. MRI features showed heterogeneous low signal intensity on T1 and high signal intensity on T2. Dynamic contrast enhancement (DCE) features included either early enhancement with or without washout in the delayed phase, and some reported central areas of non-enhancement. CONCLUSION This case report emphasises on the importance of MRI in clinching the diagnosis of breast angiosarcoma, and hence, should be offered sooner to prevent diagnostic delay.

Abstract
A wide spectrum of second cancers occur as late complications of radiation therapy (RT) used to treat various malignancies. In addition to the type and dose of radiation, lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors are important to the development of second malignancies in cancer survivors. Typically, RT-induced malignancies (RTIMs) are biologically aggressive cancers with a variable period of 5-10 years for hematologic malignancies and 10-60 years for solid tumors between RT and the development of the second cancer. Although carcinomas and leukemias commonly develop after low-dose RT, sarcomas occur in tissues or organs that receive high-dose RT. Angiosarcomas and unclassified pleomorphic sarcomas are the two most common RT-associated sarcomas; other sarcomas include malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors, leiomyosarcomas, osteosarcomas, chondrosarcomas, and dedifferentiated or pleomorphic liposarcomas. Select RTIMs show tumor genetic characteristics that allow accurate diagnosis. Nearly all cutaneous angiosarcomas after RT for breast cancer and 90% of RT-associated malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors are characterized by MYC gene amplifications and loss of H3 K27me3 expression, respectively. Classic papillary thyroid carcinomas that develop after RT frequently harbor RET/PTC rearrangements and have a favorable prognosis, despite their advanced stage at patient presentation. Select RTIMs demonstrate characteristic imaging findings and typically develop in the prior radiation field. Imaging is essential to early diagnosis, characterization, localization, and staging of RTIMs. Familiarity of radiologists with the diverse spectrum of RTIMs is essential for early diagnosis and optimal management. Abstract
RATIONALE Primary breast angiosarcoma (PBA) is a rare and overly aggressive entity and account for less than 1% of all breast cancer cases. PBA had a high rate of delayed preoperative diagnosis due to absent distinctive radiographic characteristics. PATIENT CONCERNS We report a case of a 47-year-old female patient who had a previous history of luminal cancer in the right breast with mastectomy; the patient complained of asymmetrically diffuse enlarged, accompanying with a painless mass in the left breast 12 years after the mastectomy of her right breast. DIAGNOSES The tumor mimicked idiopathic granulomatous mastitis on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at the first presentation. Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) was performed for further lesion characterization and showed heterogeneous rapid hyper enhanced. An ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy was performed, and the pathology report indicated a breast angiosarcoma. INTERVENTIONS The patient underwent a nipple-sparing simple mastectomy with immediate reconstruction of the left breast. OUTCOMES After 8 months later, the tumor recurred, CEUS and MRI examination suggested PBA recurrence, then re-excision with implant removal was performed, the patient had a lung metastasis 4 months later eventually died 22 months after diagnosis. LESSONS It is not easy to diagnose PBA with the radiographic examination. This case's importance is by combining CEUS and MRI to reflect enhanced morphology and hemodynamic characteristics of PBA and help diagnose breast angiosarcomas.

Abstract
The anatomic and histologic characteristics of the nipple-areolar complex make this breast region special. The nipple-areolar complex can be affected by abnormal development and a wide spectrum of pathological conditions, many of which have unspecific clinical and radiological presentations that can present a challenge for radiologists. The nipple-areolar complex requires a specific imaging workup in which a multimodal approach is essential. Radiologists need to know the different imaging modalities used to study the nipple-areolar complex, as well as their advantages and limitations. It is essential to get acquainted with the acquisition technique for each modality and the spectrum of findings for the different conditions. This review describes and illustrates a combined clinical and radiological approach to evaluate the nipple-areolar complex, emphasizing the findings for the normal morphology, developmental abnormalities, and the most common benign and malignant diseases that can affect this region. We also present a diagnostic algorithm that enables a rapid, practical approach to diagnosing condition involving the nipple-areolar complex.

Abstract
Background This study attempted to identify novel prognostic factors in patients with newly diagnosed primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Methods We retrospectively evaluated 67 patients diagnosed with central nervous system (CNS) tumors. The enrollment criteria were as follows: i) pathologic diagnosis of CNS lymphoma, ii) no evidence of systemic involvement, iii) no evidence of human immunodeficiency virus-1 infection or other immunodeficiencies, and iv) MRI scans available at diagnosis. Fifty-two patients met these criteria and were enrolled. Results The 3-year overall survival (OS) and failure-free survival rates were 69.7% and 45.6%, respectively, with a median follow-up duration of 36.2 months. OS of patients with low apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) was lower than those with higher ADC. Multivariate analysis revealed that old age (>60 yr) [hazard ratio (HR), 20.372; P=0.001], Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status (ECOG PS) ≥2 (HR, 10.429; P<0.001), higher lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels (HR, 7.408; P=0.001), and low ADC (HR, 0.273; P=0.009) were associated with lower OS. We modified the conventional prognostic scoring system using low ADC, old age (>60 yr), ECOG PS ≥2, and higher LDH. The risk of death was categorized as high (score 3-4), intermediate-2 (score 2), intermediate-1 (score 1), and low (score 0), with three-year OS rates of 33.5%, 55.4%, 88.9%, and 100%, respectively. Conclusion ADC demonstrated significant prognostic value for long-term survival in patients with newly diagnosed PCNSL. Low ADC was an independent unfavorable prognostic factor, suggesting that ADC obtained from MRI can improve the current prognostic scoring system.

Abstract
Bone and soft tissue sarcomas of the head and neck are a heterogenous group of tumors with overlapping features. Distinguishing between the various subtypes is challenging but necessary for appropriate diagnosis and management. The purpose of this article is to discuss the role of imaging in evaluating head and neck tumors, provide a general radiographic approach in differentiating between benign versus malignant lesions and give examples of selected subtypes of bone and soft tissue sarcomas in the head and neck with classic or pathognomonic imaging findings.

Abstract
Angiosarcoma is a rare, aggressive malignant vascular neoplasm with poor prognosis that has a predilection for skin and superficial soft tissue. It can arise spontaneously or in association with factors like chronic lymphedema or radiation therapy. Radiotherapy used to treat invasive breast tumors is a known risk factor for the development of the so-called radiation-induced angiosarcoma (RIAS), a condition that has been described in the literature with increasing frequency. Radiation-induced angiosarcoma of the breast usually arises on the previously irradiated skin area several years after radiotherapy and presents as painless multifocal erythematous patches or plaques similar to a hematoma. Cutaneous biopsy is essential for the diagnosis. Histologically, RIAS is characterized by irregular anastomosing vessels lined by endothelial cells showing nuclear atypia. Treatment is mostly surgical, and mastectomy with negative margins is considered the standard procedure. However, recurrences are common, and an approach combining surgery, chemo- and radiotherapy may be more effective. The purpose of this study is to review the most recent medical literature on RIAS of the breast, with emphasis on its pathophysiology, clinical and histological features and current treatment options.

Abstract
Background The incidence of radiation-associated angiosarcoma (RAA) of the breast has been increasing, and its prognosis is reportedly poor. It is important to remove tumor tissues completely to prevent recurrence. Case presentation We report two cases of patients with RAA of the breast. Both patients had a nodule in their remaining breast a few years after undergoing breast-conserving surgery and radiation therapy for breast cancer. The nodules were diagnosed as angiosarcoma by skin biopsy and open biopsy, respectively. To determine the extent of lesion spread, mapping biopsy was performed before surgery. Both patients underwent mastectomy, extensive skin resection, and split skin grafting. Pathological findings showed that their tumors could be completely resected. After surgery, chemotherapy was performed. Conclusion In our cases, no local or distant recurrence has been detected in either patient for over 4 years. We identified the range of tumor invasion by preoperative mapping biopsy and completely resected all tumor tissue.

Abstract
Objective To characterize a population of patients with radiation-induced angiosarcoma
(RIAS) of the breast treated at an oncology center, focusing mainly on the
imaging features, although also on the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and
management. Materials and Methods We performed a retrospective review of patients with histologically proven
angiosarcoma of the breast or chest wall, all of whom received radiotherapy,
after conservative or radical breast surgery, between 2000 and 2015. Results Eleven patients met the inclusion criteria. The median age at the time of
diagnosis of RIAS of the breast was 71.5 years (range, 58-87 years), and the
median latency period was 8.9 years (range, 4-27 years). The rate of local
recurrence was 54.4%, RIAS recurring after a median period of 10 months
(range, 3-18 months), and distant metastases occurred in three patients
(27.3%). All of the tumors were accompanied by skin changes, and a palpable
mass was seen in four. Most of the imaging findings were nonspecific. Six
patients underwent magnetic resonance imaging, which revealed pronounced
skin enhancement in all six. Ultrasound-guided core needle biopsies were
negative in three of the eight patients. Conclusion RIAS of the breast is a rare but recognized complication of radiotherapy for
breast carcinoma, with a poor prognosis and high recurrence rate, which
requires a high index of suspicion for a prompt diagnosis.

Abstract
Angiosarcoma of the breast is a rare malignancy of endothelial cell origin, representing less than 1% of all breast malignancy. Primary angiosarcomas can occur in the setting of chronic lymphedema, but it also may occur spontaneously without any preceding treatment. Surgery is the primary therapeutic intervention for breast angiosarcomas with radiation and chemotherapy as adjuvant treatment. Angiosarcomas are aggressive and tend to have a high risk of local and metastatic recurrence. We present a case of primary angiosarcoma that developed in a patient who had bilateral breast reduction surgery in the past.

Abstract
Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are heterogeneous malignant tumors that have nonspecific imaging features. A combination of clinical, demographic, and imaging characteristics can aid in the diagnosis. Imaging provides important information regarding the tumor extent, pretreatment planning, and surveillance of patients with STS. In this article, we illustrate the pertinent imaging characteristics of the commonly occurring STS and some uncommon sarcomas with unique imaging characteristics.

Abstract
Angiosarcoma is a rare, aggressive subtype of soft-tissue sarcoma with a propensity for local recurrence and metastasis associated with a generally poor prognosis, unless diagnosed early. Given the vascular endothelial cell origin of angiosarcoma, tumours may develop in essentially any organ; however, there is a predilection for the skin where half of all tumours arise, increasing in prevalence with age. The most common risk factors are chronic lymphoedema and history of radiation. We review the most important radiological findings along the spectrum of angiosarcoma from head to toe throughout the body, including uncommon and rare locations. Key imaging features of angiosarcoma across multiple organ systems will be described, as well as the impact on management and prognosis.

Abstract
Vascular proliferations of the breast comprise a spectrum of benign and malignant lesions. In limited samples, such as core needle biopsies (CNB), these lesions may be difficult to distinguish due to significant overlap in morphological features. As the treatment and prognosis of these entities vary widely, it is important for pathologists to consider a complete differential diagnosis and correctly synthesise histological features, results of adjunctive immunohistochemical studies, and pertinent clinical and imaging information, to render an accurate diagnosis in such limited samples. The diagnostic pitfalls of under- or overdiagnosis of vascular lesions sampled in CNB will also be discussed.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this article is to describe the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of radiation-associated angiosarcoma (RAS) of the breast. CONCLUSION Radiologists play an important role in the diagnosis of RAS, which may initially present clinically as erythema, ecchymosis, or skin thickening. Conventional imaging with mammography and ultrasound is less sensitive than MRI for the diagnosis of RAS. Follow-up CT is important to monitor treatment response.

Abstract
Although some breast cancers present as palpable masses or with other clinical findings, many are detected at screening. Most screening is currently done with digital mammography, but high-risk patients or those with dense breast tissue may undergo additional screening examinations with magnetic resonance imaging or ultrasound. Additionally, digital breast tomosynthesis, contrast-enhanced mammography, and molecular breast imaging are newer technologies available at some sites. Optimal usage of breast imaging technologies remains controversial, both in screening and diagnostic settings following a new diagnosis of breast cancer. This article will review well established and newer, alternative breast imaging technologies as well as recent data regarding their role in optimizing patient care.

Abstract
Differential diagnosis of spindle cell lesions of breast is challenging for certain reasons. The most important reason is the presence of cytological atypia and mitosis in all three conditions: reactive, benign, and malignant. Patients diagnosed with benign and malignant tumor/tumor-like lesions that had spindle cell components following the histopathological examination were included in the study. The patients’ medical records were accessed to obtain the clinical history, follow-up notes, and radiological findings. Following histopathological, immunohistochemical, and clinical evaluations, the patients were diagnosed as follows: pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH), bilateral desmoid-type fibromatosis (FM), adenomyoepithelioma (AME), myofibroblastoma (MFB), malignant phyllodes tumor (MF), high-grade AS, post-chemotherapy osteosarcoma (OS) + Paget’s disease, and metaplastic carcinoma (MC). An algorithmic approach should be used in the diagnosis; cellular structure, presence and grade of atypia, growth pattern, mitotic activity, immunohistochemical staining, and clinical and radiological features should be evaluated together. Detection of some molecular changes can be useful in differential diagnosis.
