Abstract
Corn silk (Zea mays L.) is the stigma of an annual gramineous plant named corn, which is distributed in many regions worldwide and has a long history of medicinal use. In recent years, with the sustainable development of traditional Chinese medicine, studies of corn silk based on modern technologies, such as GC-MS, LC-MS, and other analytical means, have offered more comprehensive analyses. Phytochemistry studies have shown that the main bioactive components in corn silk include flavonoids, polyphenols, phenolic acids, fatty acids, and terpenoids. Pharmacological studies have shown that corn silk extract has various pharmacological effects, such as reducing blood lipids, lowering blood pressure, regulating blood sugar levels, anti-inflammatory effects, and anti-oxidation effects. In this paper, the related research on corn silk from the past few years is summarized to provide a theoretical reference for the further development and utilization of corn silk.

Abstract
Herba Lysimachiae inhibits synovial damage in osteoarthritis via regulating two bio labels (integrin alpha 2b/beta 3). However, the relevant active ingredients are still unknown. Here, the active ingredients of herbal medicines were analyzed based on the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry technology and public bioinformatics platforms. The liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry technology was used for compound analysis, and public databases (PubChem BioAssay and STRING) were applied to establish the links between herbal compounds and both bio labels, and identify which herbal compounds may regulate these bio labels. Subsequently, the osteoarthritis model was used to confirm the results. Totally, ninety compounds in Herba Lysimachiae were identified based on the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry technology. Bioinformatics analysis showed that five compounds (myricetin, fisetin, esculetin, 7-hydroxycoumarin-4-acetic acid, and caffeic acid) may synergistically regulate bio labels through 11 targets, which may be the active ingredients of Herba Lysimachiae for osteoarthritis treatment. In the verification experiments, five compounds markedly suppressed the overexpression of bio labels in the synovium of the osteoarthritis model. In conclusion, the present study effectively and rapidly analyzed the active ingredients of Herba Lysimachiae for osteoarthritis treatment.

Abstract
Most of daily eaten food are cooked, which helps in absorbing nutrients and phytochemicals, but at the same time it can decrease its content. Currently, the impact of cooking has been studied that could influence food health related compounds, but they have a limited view of compounds by not consider molecular structural modifications and new compounds formation. An untargeted approach using LC-ESI-LQT-Orbitrap-MS/MS and univariate/multivariate statistical analysis was applied to understand how the preparation of a recipe, varying its ingredients (olive oil, 5-10%; onion, 20-40%; and garlic, 2-4%) and cooking time, could modulate the chemical profile of a tomato sofrito sauce. The presence of unexplored compounds that may have a beneficial effect on health, such as phytoprostanes, hydroxycinnamic acid amides and compounds such as 3,4 dihydroxyphenylglycone was revealed. Moreover, cooking was able to modulate the content of compounds like aminoacids, thiosulfates or phenolics and could be used as a tool to increase these molecules. The untargeted approach on cooking allows to use a recipe as a tool to improve a chemical profile of a dish, which opens the view for new dietary recommendations by cuisine to improve our diet, habits and health.
