Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare food intake and eating behaviour in children and adolescents with obesity (OBE) undergoing weight loss intervention and normal weight (NW) in a real-life Snack Scenario. METHODS Sixty OBE were examined before (T0) and after weight loss (T1) and compared to a single measurement comparison group of 27 NW. Participants watched a 20-min film and were encouraged to snack from a variety of foods ad libitum. Food intake was measured and eating behaviour assessed via a hidden camera and a validated questionnaire. RESULTS The food and energy intake did not differ between NW (155 ± 83 g, 1067 ± 732 kJ) and OBE at T0 (144 ± 106 g, 1088 ± 883 kJ) but increased in OBE at T1 (187 ± 91 g, 1544 ± 845 kJ). Latency of food intake was significantly shorter in NW (0 m:07 s ± 0 m:08 s) compared to OBE (T0: 1 m:11 s ± 2 m:57 s). After weight loss, latency decreased in OBE (0 m:26 s ± 1 m:00 s). NW touched food more often (49 ± 24) than OBE (T0: 29 ± 23), but takes from plate were similar. The questionnaire revealed differences between OBE and NW, not correlating with Snack Scenario observations. CONCLUSION Eating behaviours differed in NW versus OBE at T0 but food intake was similar. Therefore, behaviour while eating may be an underestimated factor in the considerations for childhood obesity. Abstract
Background Understanding children's eating behaviors is crucial for elucidating the etiology of childhood obesity. However, the relationship between these behaviors and abdominal fat accumulation remains poorly understood. This study aims to investigate this association in primary school children. Methods This study included 1,475 children aged 8-10 years in Ningbo, China. Body composition was measured both at baseline (September 2022) and after 9 months of follow-up (June 2023). Primary caregivers completed the Children's Eating Behavior Questionnaire (CEBQ). A mixed-effects linear model was applied to analyze the relationships between children's eating behaviors and body composition. Results Greater visceral fat area (VFA) was associated with greater slowness in eating [β = 0.25 (0.02, 0.49)], greater food responsiveness [β = 0.29 (0.14, 0.43)], increased emotional undereating [β = 0.35 (0.17, 0.54)], and more emotional overeating [β = 0.21 (0.02, 0.39)]. Children with greater trunk fat mass (TrFM) tended to have greater food responsiveness [β = 0.02 (0.01, 0.03)] and greater enjoyment of food [β = 0.01 (0.00, 0.03)], increased emotional undereating [β = 0.02 (0.01, 0.03)] and emotional overeating [β = 0.02 (0.00, 0.03)]. Prospectively, positive correlations were observed between VFA and food responsiveness [β = 0.18 (0.02, 0.35)], as were emotional undereating [β = 0.31 (0.10, 0.52)] and emotional overeating [β = 0.24 (0.03, 0.46)]. Similarly, TrFM was positively correlated with food responsiveness [β = 0.02 (0.00, 0.03)], enjoyment of food [β = 0.02 (0.00, 0.04)], emotional undereating [β = 0.02 (0.01, 0.04)] and emotional overeating [β = 0.02 (0.01, 0.04)]. Conclusions Our findings suggest that eating behaviors are significantly associated with abdominal fat accumulation in primary school children. Addressing specific eating behaviors may be crucial in mitigating abdominal fat and its related health risks.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Eating in the absence of hunger is a risk factor for excessive energy intake and predisposes children to overweight/obesity. The purpose of this study was to test the validity and reliability of the "Eating in the Absence of Hunger Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents (EAH-C)" in Türkiye. METHODS This study was conducted in a total of six schools, with children 8-18 years old between September and December 2022. Factor analysis, item-total score analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were used for the validity and reliability. RESULTS The calculated KMO statistic was >0.60, and the Bartlett's test statistic was <0.05. The three subscales accounted for 65.22% of the total variance. Factor loads ranged from 0.41 to 0.84. The value obtained by dividing χ2 by the number of degrees of freedom was <5; the RMSEA was <0.10; the RMR was <0.08; and the TLI, GFI, AGFI, and CFI were >0.90. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.91 for the total scale. CONCLUSIONS Our study has confirmed that the Turkish-language version of the EAH-C is a valid and reliable tool. PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS In the effort of prevention of childhood obesity, identifying eating behaviors in the absence of hunger in children and adolescents will benefit policymakers to develop intervention and prevention programs, in addition to providing guidance to pediatric nurses, all healthcare professionals, researchers, children, and parents.

Abstract
From the point of view of prevention, it is convenient to explore the association between eating behavior and the obese phenotype during school and adolescent age. The aim of the present study was to identify eating behavior patterns associated with nutritional status in Spanish schoolchildren. A cross-sectional study of 283 boys and girls (aged 6 to 16 years) was carried out. The sample was evaluated anthropometrically by Body Mass Index (BMI), waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) and body fat percentage (%BF). Eating behavior was analyzed using the CEBQ "Children's Eating Behavior Questionnaire". The subscales of the CEBQ were significantly associated with BMI, WHtR and %BF. Pro-intake subscales (enjoyment of food, food responsiveness, emotional overeating, desire for drinks) were positively related to excess weight by BMI (β = 0.812 to 0.869; p = 0.002 to <0.001), abdominal obesity (β = 0.543-0.640; p = 0.02 to <0.009) and high adiposity (β = 0.508 to 0.595; p = 0.037 to 0.01). Anti-intake subscales (satiety responsiveness, slowness in eating, food fussiness) were negatively related to BMI (β = -0.661 to -0.719; p = 0.009 to 0.006) and % BF (β = -0.17 to -0.46; p = 0.042 to p = 0.016).

Abstract
Eating in the absence of hunger (EAH) has been identified as a behavioral phenotype for obesity. Few studies have reported on objective measures of EAH in adolescents, and fewer yet have objectively measured EAH in a naturalistic, home setting. The purpose of this paper was to examine relations between objective, adolescent-report and parent-report measures of EAH, and to examine variation by sex and race. Participants included 295 predominantly low-income and rural adolescents (mean age = 14.2 ± 0.6 years) and their parents, drawn from the Family Life Project. An EAH task was administered in the home following an ad-libitum meal and compulsory milkshake; EAH was also reported on a web-based survey (both adolescent and parent reports) and adolescents' BMIz was calculated from height and weight, measured in the home or self-reported on the web survey. A high degree of variability in EAH intake was observed (range = 8-741 kcals). Parent and adolescent reports of EAH were weakly correlated and unrelated to observed EAH consumption; only adolescent reports of EAH were related to their BMIz. Several relations varied by sex and race. Positive associations between reported and observed EAH was only observed in girls, and positive associations between observed EAH and BMI was only observed in boys and in white adolescents. Overall EAH consumption was significantly greater in boys and in white adolescents. These findings suggest that EAH can be measured in adolescents in the home. In this sample of youth experiencing rural poverty, this home-based measure appears most valid for white adolescent girls.

Abstract
Eating in the absence of hunger (EAH) has been extensively studied over the past two decades and has been associated with excess body weight and the development of obesity. However, determinants of EAH remain uncertain. This systematic review aims to identify individual, familial, and environmental factors associated with EAH among children and adolescents. We included studies with a measure of EAH in participants aged 3-17 years old and including ≥1 factor associated with EAH. Our search identified 1494 articles. Of these, we included 81 studies: 53 cross-sectional, 19 longitudinal and nine intervention studies. In childhood (≤12 years old), EAH increases with age, it is greater in boys compared to girls, and it is positively associated with adiposity. Moreover, EAH development seems to be influenced by genetics. In adolescence, the number of studies is limited; yet, studies show that EAH slightly increases or remains stable with age, is not clearly different between sexes, and findings for overweight or obesity are less consistent across studies in adolescence. For familial factors, parental restrictive feeding practices are positively associated with EAH during childhood, mostly for girls. Studies assessing environmental factors are lacking and robust longitudinal studies spanning from early childhood to adolescence are needed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The association between body mass index (BMI) and adiposity differs by race/ethnicity. OBJECTIVE To examine differences in adiposity by race/Hispanic origin among US youth and explore how those differences relate to differences in BMI using the most recent national data, including non-Hispanic Asian youth. METHODS Weight, height and DXA-derived fat mass index (FMI) and percentage body fat (%BF) from 6923 youth 8-19 years in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2011-2018 were examined. Age-adjusted mean BMI, FMI and %BF were reported. Sex-specific linear regression models predicting %BF and FMI were adjusted for age, BMI category and BMI category*race/Hispanic origin interaction. RESULTS %BF was highest among Hispanic males (28.2%) and females (35.7%). %BF was lower among non-Hispanic Black (23.9%) compared with non-Hispanic White (26.0%) and non-Hispanic Asian (26.6%) males. There was no difference between non-Hispanic Black females (32.7%) and non-Hispanic White (33.2%) or non-Hispanic Asian (32.7%) females. FMI was higher among Hispanic youth compared with non-Hispanic White youth. Among youth with underweight/healthy weight, predicted %BF and FMI were lower among non-Hispanic Black males (-2.8%; -0.5) and females (-2.0%; -0.3), compared with non-Hispanic White youth, and higher among Hispanic males (0.9%; 0.2) and females (2.0%; 0.5), while %BF but not FMI was higher among non-Hispanic Asian males (1.3%) and females (1.4%). Among females with obesity, non-Hispanic Asian females had lower %BF (-2.3%) and FMI (-1.7) than non-Hispanic White females. CONCLUSIONS Differences in %BF and FMI by race/Hispanic origin were not consistent by BMI category among US youth in 2011-2018.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Approximately 11% of the U.S. population experiences food insecurity (FI; insufficient access to healthy food due to financial constraints). FI is associated with detrimental health outcomes, including the development of eating disorders (EDs). However, additional studies are needed, particularly in adolescence when EDs are likely to emerge. The current study will utilize an experimental ad libitum snack paradigm to investigate snack consumption, acquisition (i.e., taking snacks home), and associated disordered eating behaviors among racially, ethnically, and financially diverse adolescents living with FI and food security (FS). METHOD Sixty-four adolescents will be recruited and randomized into one of two conditions: prior knowledge condition (i.e., participants will know prior to snacking that they can take any remaining food home) and no prior knowledge condition (i.e., participants will not know ahead of time that they can take snacks home). RESULTS We expect youth with FI to show increased eating and acquisition behaviors compared to youth with FS across both conditions. DISCUSSION This study, utilizing a novel experimental design, is an important step in understanding how FI impacts adolescent eating behaviors among youth from marginalized backgrounds, who have historically been excluded from research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND While insufficient sleep duration has emerged as a strong, independent risk factor for obesity, the mechanisms remain unclear. One possibility is greater "eating in the absence of hunger" (EAH) or energy intake beyond the point of satiety, when tired. OBJECTIVE The aim was to determine whether mild sleep loss increases EAH in children. METHODS A crossover study was undertaken in 105 healthy children (8-12 y) with normal sleep (∼8-11 h/night). After randomization, children went to bed 1 h earlier (sleep extension) or 1 h later (sleep restriction) than their usual bedtime, over 2 intervention weeks separated by a 1-wk washout. At the end of each intervention week, children underwent an EAH feeding experiment involving a preloading meal until satiation, followed by an ad libitum buffet (of highly palatable snacks) to measure EAH, with each food item weighed before and after consumption. RESULTS Ninety-three children completed the EAH experiment. There was no evidence of a difference in energy intake from EAH between sleep restriction and extension conditions when analyzed as a crossover design. However, a learning effect was found, with children eating significantly less (-239 kJ; 95% CI: -437, -41 kJ; P = 0.018) during the preload phase and significantly more (181 kJ; 95% CI: 38, 322 kJ; P = 0.013) in the ad libitum phase in the second week. No significant differences were seen using an underpowered parallel analysis for energy intake during the ad libitum phase when sleep deprived (106 kJ; 95% CI: -217, 431 kJ; P = 0.514). CONCLUSIONS Our findings suggest that measuring a difference in eating behavior in relation to sleep proved unsuitable using the EAH experiment in a crossover design in children, due to a learning effect. Using pre-prandial blood glucose to assess eating in the absence of hunger in free-living individuals. Eat Behav 2020; 38:101411. Abstract
Our ability to understand and intervene on eating in the absence of hunger (EAH) as it occurs in peoples' natural environments is hindered by biased methods that lack ecological validity. One promising indicator of EAH that does not rely on self-report and is easily assessed in free-living individuals is glucose. Here, we hypothesize that elevated pre-prandial blood glucose concentrations (PPBG), which reflect a source of readily-available, short-term energy, are a biological indicator of EAH. This was a 7-day observational study of N = 41, 18-24 year old men and women with BMI < 25 kg/m2 (60%) or BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2 (40%). We collected data using ecological momentary assessment from people in their natural environments. We defined EAH by self-report (perceived EAH) and by PPBG thresholds using two methods (standardized, PPBG < 85 mg/dl; personalized, PPBG < individual fasting levels). Multilevel modeling was used to analyze the data. N = 963 eating events were reported. There were significantly (p < .05) fewer perceived EAH events (25%) as compared to standardized (62%) and personalized PPBG-defined EAH events (51%). Consistent with published literature, perceived EAH was more likely to occur at a higher PPBG (p < .01), particularly among participants with a BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2 (pint < .01). Additionally, discordance between perceived EAH and PPBG-defined EAH, indicating a perception of hunger at an eating event when PPBS was elevated, was less likely among participants with a BMI < 25 kg/m2 vs. those with a BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2 (pint < .01) as well as at snacks vs. meals (pint < .01). These findings provide preliminary support for using PPBG as a biological indicator of EAH in free-living individuals.

Abstract
In reports among mostly, US, white, preschool and young school-age children eating in the absence of hunger (EAH) has been positively related to adiposity, with some support for a sex-specific relationship. There is considerable interest in EAH and obesity in populations at risk for obesity-like populations of countries that have undergone rapid development. We assessed adolescents (n = 679) after an overnight fast with anthropometry and an EAH paradigm beginning with an ad lib pre-load meal. Participants reported satisfaction and perceived ability to eat more food, and then proceeded to a room with freely available snacks where they were permitted to eat ad lib for 20 min. Adolescents were 16.8 years old, 52% male, and 14% with obesity. Median preload meal kcal consumption was 602 (IQR 474-746). Additional calories were consumed at the EAH snack by 47.6%. Among those who ate snack, 155 additional calories were consumed (IQR 78-283). Adolescents with obesity had 0.61 (95% CI 0.37-0.99) reduced odds of eating at the EAH snack adolescents without obesity. Adolescents with obesity were also less likely to eat above the median total calories compared to adolescents without obesity (OR = 0.59, 95% CI 0.36-0.96). A sex by obesity interaction term was not significant in any model. Obesity was related to eating behavior in our sample of Chilean adolescents, however not in the direction we hypothesized. Adolescents with obesity were less likely to eat additional calories in the EAH paradigm and ate fewer total calories compared to adolescents without obesity.

Abstract
Although binge-eating disorder may manifest in childhood, a significantly larger proportion of youth report episodes involving a loss of control while eating, the hallmark feature of binge eating that predicts excess weight gain and obesity. Adults with binge-eating disorder often report that symptoms emerged during childhood or adolescence, suggesting that a developmental perspective of binge eating may be warranted. Thus, loss of control eating may be a marker of prodromal binge-eating disorder among certain susceptible youth. The present article offers a broad developmental framework of binge-eating disorder and proposes areas of future research to determine which youths with loss of control eating are at risk for persistent and exacerbated behavior that may develop into binge-eating disorder and adult obesity. To this end, this article provides an overview of loss of control eating in childhood and adolescence, including its characterization, etiology, and clinical significance, with a particular focus on associations with metabolic risk, weight gain, and obesity. A conceptual model is proposed to further elucidate the mechanisms that may play a role in determining which youths with loss of control are at greatest risk for binge-eating disorder and obesity. Ways in which treatments for adult binge-eating disorder may inform approaches to reduce loss of control eating and prevent excess weight gain in youth are discussed. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Alexithymia, or the difficulty identifying or describing one's own emotions, may be a risk factor for dysregulated eating and excess weight gain. However, the relationships between alexithymia and eating behaviors in community samples of non-clinical youth have not been well-characterized. We hypothesized that alexithymia would be positively associated with disordered and disinhibited eating in a community-based sample of boys and girls without an eating disorder. METHOD Two hundred children (8-17 years old) across the weight spectrum completed an interview to assess loss of control (LOC) eating and eating-related psychopathology, a laboratory test meal designed to induce disinhibited eating, and questionnaires to assess alexithymia, eating in the absence of hunger, and emotional eating. Linear and logistic regressions were conducted to examine the relationship between alexithymia and eating variables, with age, sex, race, and fat mass as covariates. Test meal analyses also adjusted for lean mass. Given the overlap between alexithymia and depression, all models were repeated with depressive symptoms as an additional covariate. RESULTS Alexithymia was associated with an increased likelihood of reporting LOC eating (p < .05). Moreover, alexithymia was positively associated with disordered eating attitudes, emotional eating, and eating in the absence of hunger (ps < .05). Greater alexithymia was associated with more carbohydrate and less fat intake at the test meal (ps < .05). After adjusting for depressive symptoms, alexithymia remained associated with eating in the absence of hunger and carbohydrate and fat intake (ps < .05). DISCUSSION In healthy children, alexithymia is associated with some facets of eating behavior and food intake. If supported prospectively, these preliminary findings suggest alexithymia may be a modifiable risk factor to reduce disordered eating and excess weight gain in youth.

Abstract
Insufficient average sleep duration has been inconsistently associated with poor diet and obesity risks in youth. Inconsistencies in findings across studies may be due to a general failure to examine associations in weekday versus weekend sleep. We hypothesized that greater variations in weekday and weekend sleep duration would be associated with more disinhibited eating behaviors, which, in turn, might be involved in the relationship between sleep and weight. We, therefore, examined, among healthy, non-treatment seeking youth, the associations of average weekly, weekend, and weekday sleep duration with eating in the absence of hunger (EAH), a disinhibited eating behavior associated with disordered eating and obesity. Sleep was assessed via actigraphy for 14 days. Participants completed a self-report measure of EAH. Adiposity was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. Linear regressions were used to test the associations of sleep duration with EAH and the associations of sleep duration and EAH, with fat mass. Among 123 participants (8-17 years, 52.0% female, and 30.9% with overweight), there was no significant association between average weekly sleep and EAH. Further, there was no significant association among average weekly sleep duration or EAH and fat mass. However, average weekday sleep was negatively associated, and average weekend sleep was positively associated, with EAH (ps < 0.02). Weekend "catch-up" sleep (the difference between weekend and weekday sleep) was positively associated with EAH (p < 0.01). Findings indicate that shorter weekday sleep and greater weekend "catch-up" sleep are associated with EAH, which may place youth at risk for the development of excess weight gain over time.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Exposure to impaired gestational glucose tolerance has been shown to have sex-specific associations with offspring obesity risk, perhaps by affecting the development of appetite regulation. We examined the extent to which prenatal exposure to impaired glucose tolerance was associated with eating in the absence of hunger (EAH) in early adolescent offspring, and in turn, whether EAH was cross-sectionally associated with body composition. METHODS We included data from 1097 adolescents participating in Project Viva, a pre-birth longitudinal cohort. We obtained the results of two-stage prenatal glycemic screening (50 g glucose challenge test, followed if abnormal by 100 g oral glucose tolerance test) at 26-28 weeks of gestation, and categorized mothers as having normal glucose tolerance, isolated hyperglycemia (IH, n = 92, 8.4%), impaired glucose tolerance (IGT, n = 36, 3.3%), or gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM, n = 52, 4.7%). At a median age of 13 years, offspring reported on two modified items of the Eating in the Absence of Hunger in Children and Adolescents questionnaire, we measured height and weight, and performed dual X-ray absorptiometry scans to assess fat and fat-free mass. We used multivariable linear regression analyses adjusted for sociodemographic and prenatal covariates, including maternal pre-pregnancy BMI. RESULTS On a ten-point scale, the mean (SD) EAH score was 4.4 points (SD = 1.5) in boys and 4.4 (SD = 1.4) in girls. In girls, prenatal exposure to both IH and IGT was associated with more EAH compared with normal glucose tolerance (e.g., for IH: 0.56 points, 95% CI: 0.17, 0.96), whereas in boys, prenatal exposure to IGT was associated with less EAH (-0.81 points, 95% CI: -1.41, -0.21). We did not observe an association between exposure to GDM and EAH, nor did we observe associations between EAH and body composition in early adolescence. CONCLUSIONS These findings suggest sex-specific associations of exposure to impaired gestational glucose tolerance with offspring EAH in early adolescence.

Abstract
Adolescent severe obesity is a prevalent, chronic, and serious disease with few effective and safe treatment options. To address this issue, a National Institutes of Health-sponsored workshop entitled "Developing Precision Medicine Approaches to the Treatment of Severe Obesity in Adolescents," was convened, bringing together a multidisciplinary group of experts to review the current state of the science and identify (1) what is known regarding the epidemiology and biopsychosocial determinants of severe obesity in adolescents, (2) what is known regarding effectiveness of treatments for severe obesity in adolescents and predictors of response, and (3) gaps and opportunities for future research to develop more effective and targeted treatments for adolescents with severe obesity. Major topical areas discussed at the workshop included: appropriate BMI metrics, valid measures of phenotypes and predictors, mechanisms associated with the development of severe obesity, novel treatments informed by biologically and psychosocially plausible mechanisms, biopsychosocial phenotypes predicting treatment response, standardization of outcome measures and results reporting in research, and improving clinical care. Substantial gaps in knowledge were identified regarding the basic behavioral, psychosocial, and biological mechanisms driving the development of severe obesity and the influence of these factors on treatment response. Additional exploratory and observational studies are needed to better understand the heterogeneous etiology of severe obesity and explain the high degree of variability observed with interventions. Tailored treatment strategies that may be developed by achieving a better understanding of individual differences in genetic endowment, clinical, metabolic, psychological, and behavioral phenotypes, and response to environmental exposures need to be tested. It is anticipated that these recommendations for future research, including strategies to enhance methodological rigor, will advance precision medicine approaches to treat severe obesity in adolescents more effectively.

Abstract
Existing programs which aim to prevent and treat childhood obesity often do not take into account individual variation and the underlying mechanisms that impact child eating behavior. Individual differences in children's appetitive traits have been shown to appear as early as during infancy and become more pronounced as children grow older and become more exposed to the obesogenic food environment. Differences in genetic predispositions interacting with factors in children's early environment account in part for individual differences in appetitive traits. It is very likely that obesogenic eating phenotypes manifest themselves before the onset of childhood obesity. If so, identifying these phenotypes early is expected to move primary prevention strategies in a new direction and holds great potential to significantly enhance our ability to prevent childhood obesity. The aim of this narrative review is to discuss the role of behavioral phenotyping as an innovative approach for the development of more personalized obesity prevention and treatment interventions that are tailored to children's individual predispositions. We describe several examples of appetitive traits which have been linked to overeating and excess weight gain in children and thus may represent modifiable risk factors for future interventions. The review concludes with a comprehensive synthesis of opportunities for future human ingestive behavior research on identifying behavioral phenotypes for childhood obesity.

Abstract
The risk of becoming overweight among offspring exposed to gestational diabetes (GDM) in utero is two-fold higher than in the general population. The responsible mechanisms are likely multifactorial, with some evidence that GDM exposure alters brain satiety signaling, which may impact eating behavior. To better understand these effects, we investigated the relationship between GDM exposure, eating behavior, and total energy intake in 268 adolescents from the Exploring Perinatal Outcomes among Children cohort, who were exposed (n = 50) or not exposed (n = 217) to GDM in utero. Eating behavior was measured by the Eating in the Absence of Hunger in Children and Adolescents (EAH-C) questionnaire, which included subscale scores for Negative Affect, External Stimuli, and Fatigue/Boredom. Total energy intake (kcal/day) was derived from the Block Kid's Food Questionnaire. The associations between GDM exposure and the outcomes of total score and each EAH-C subscale were evaluated in separate multivariable models. In addition to the main predictor, GDM, the models included a GDM-by-sex interaction term and were adjusted for important covariates. The associations between EAH-C total and subscale scores and the outcome of total energy intake were also tested in separate multivariable models. Female offspring exposed to GDM in utero (vs unexposed males and females) were more likely to continue eating beyond satiation due to feelings of boredom and fatigue (β = 0.47, 95% CI: 0.11, 0.83), and in general (EAH-C total score; β = 4.20, 95% CI: 0.56, 7.86) compared to unexposed males. All EAH-C subscale and total scores were significantly, positively associated with higher energy intake (p < 0.05 for all, respectively). Our findings highlight the need for further investigation into the possible early life programming of eating behaviors by GDM exposure in utero.
