Abstract
The synthesis and structural revision of the dimerized cyclic hexapeptides antatollamides A (1) and B (2) are reported. These are unique peptides with two proline residues and bicyclic peptides combined by a disulfide bond. Cyclization and disulfide bond formation of the linear peptide led to antatollamide A (1). However, the 1H and 13C NMR spectra of synthetic antatollamide A (1) were not consistent with those of isolated antatollamide A (1). Meanwhile, the NMR spectra of the monomeric cyclic hexapeptide cyclo(Pro-Pro-Phe-dCys-Ile-Val) (3) and the isolated antatollamide A (1) were identified completely. In addition, we found that isolated antatollamide B (2) is cyclo(Pro-Pro-dPhe-dCys-Ile-Val) (4).

Abstract
The modification of the surgical polypropylene mesh and the polytetrafluoroethylene vascular prosthesis with cecropin A (small peptide) and puromycin (aminonucleoside) yielded very stable preparations of modified biomaterials. The main emphasis was placed on analyses of their antimicrobial activity and potential immunomodulatory and non-cytotoxic properties towards the CCD841 CoTr model cell line. Cecropin A did not significantly affect the viability or proliferation of the CCD 841 CoTr cells, regardless of its soluble or immobilized form. In contrast, puromycin did not induce a significant decrease in the cell viability or proliferation in the immobilized form but significantly decreased cell viability and proliferation when administered in the soluble form. The covalent immobilization of these two molecules on the surface of biomaterials resulted in stable preparations that were able to inhibit the multiplication of Staphylococcus aureus and S. epidermidis strains. It was also found that the preparations induced the production of cytokines involved in antibacterial protection mechanisms and stimulated the immune response. The key regulator of this activity may be related to TLR4, a receptor recognizing bacterial LPS. In the present study, these factors were produced not only in the conditions of LPS stimulation but also in the absence of LPS, which indicates that cecropin A- and puromycin-modified biomaterials may upregulate pathways leading to humoral antibacterial immune response.

Abstract
Ovalbumin (OVA), the most abundant protein in egg whites, has been widely used in various industries. Currently, the structure of OVA has been clearly established, and the extraction of high-purified OVA has become feasible. However, the allergenicity of OVA is still a serious problem because it can cause severe allergic reactions and may even be life-threatening. The structure and allergenicity of the OVA can be altered by many processing methods. In this article, a detailed description on the structure and a comprehensive overview on the extraction protocols and the allergenicity of OVA was documented. Additionally, the information on assembly and potential applications of OVA was summarized and discussed in detail. Physical treatment, chemical modification, and microbial processing can be applied to alter the IgE-binding capacity of OVA by changing its structure and linear/sequential epitopes. Furthermore, research indicated that OVA could assemble with itself or other biomolecules into various forms (particles, fibers, gels, and nanosheets), which expanded its application in the food field. OVA also shows excellent application prospects, including food preservation, functional food ingredients and nutrient delivery. Therefore, OVA demonstrates significant investigation value as a food grade ingredient.

Herein, phage display was utilized to screen the affinity of peptides against dihydrofolate reductase and a positive peptide was obtained, and the verification of the affinity was tested by multiple in vitro biophysical methods.
