Abstract
Abstract
Organometallic complexes of neodymium have unique coordinating ability to form both micro and macromolecules as well as metal-based polymers. These complexes have been reported in different fields and play a tremendous role in luminescence, catalytic, biological and magnetic applications. So, the current study will comprise all possible routes for the synthesis of organometallic complexes of neodymium. Neodymium complexes have been synthesized of single, double, triple and tetra linkages with H, C, N, O as well as S, B, and X. The detailed synthetic routes have been classified into four categories but in brief, neodymium forms complexes by reacting metal chloride, nitrate or oxide (hydrated or dehydrated) as precursor along with appropriate ligand. Most applied solvents for neodymium complexes were Toluene and THF. These complexes required a range of temperature based on the nature of complexes as well as linkages. The authors have surveyed the research work published through 2011–2020 and provide a comprehensive overview to understand the synthetic routes of organometallic complexes of neodymium.

Abstract
We report the reactivity of N-phosphinoguanidines of the formula (HNR)(Ph2PNR)C(NAr) (R = iPr and Ar = 2,6-iPr2C6H3 [Dipp] for 1a, R = iPr and Ar = 2,4,6-Me3C6H2 [Mes] for 1b, and R = Cy and Ar = Dipp for 1c), prepared in high yields from the corresponding trisubstituted guanidines, toward main group metal alkyls AlMe3, ZnEt2, MgnBu2, and nBuLi to obtain novel phosphinoguanidinato and phosphinimine-amidinato compounds. Reactions of 1a-c with AlMe3 at room temperature led to the kinetic phosphinoguanidinato products [Al{κ2-N,N'-(NR)C(NAr)(NRPPh2)}Me2] (2a-c), whereas the mild heating (60-80 °C) of solutions of 2a-c give the thermodynamic phosphinimine-amidinato products [Al{κ2-N,N'-(NR)C(NAr)(PPh2NR)}Me2] (3a-c) after ligand rearrangement. The reactions of equimolar amounts of 1a-c and ZnEt2 initially give solutions containing unstable phosphinoguanidinato compounds [Zn{κ2-N,P-(NR)C(NAr)(NRPPh2)}Et] (4a-c), which rearrange upon mild heating to the phosphinimine-amidinato derivatives [Zn{κ2-N,N'-(NR)C(NAr)(PPh2NR)}Et] (6a-c). Bis(phosphinoguanidinato) compounds [Zn{κ2-N,P-(NR)C(NAr)(NRPPh2)}2] (5a-c) can be obtained under mild conditions (<45 °C) in THF, whereas bis(phosphinimine-amidinato) compounds [Zn{κ2-N,N'-(NR)C(NAr)(PPh2NR)}2] (7a-c) are also accessible under more forcing conditions (55-100 °C) from (i) ZnEt2 and 1b,c (2 equiv), (ii) 6a and 1a, or (iii) 5b,c. Equimolar mixtures of MgnBu2 and 1a-c in THF at room temperature give unstable phosphinimine-amidinato monoalkyl products [Mg{κ2-N,N'-(NR)C(NAr)(PPh2NR)}nBu(THF)2] (8a-c), whereas 2 equiv of 1a,b are required to reach the bischelate compounds [Mg{κ2-N,N'-(NiPr)C(NAr)(PPh2NiPr)}2] (9a,b). Finally, phosphinoguanidinato compounds [Li{κ2-N,P-(NR)C(NDipp)(NRPPh2)}(THF)2] (10a,c) were obtained in the reactions of 1a,c with nBuLi in THF under ambient conditions. The removal of the solvent from solutions of 10a,c under partial vacuum leads to the dinuclear compounds [Li2{μ-κ2-N,N':κ1-N-(NR)C(NDipp)(NRPPh2)}2(THF)2] (11a,c) after the decoordination of one of the THF molecules in 10a,c and dimerization. Heating solutions of 10a,c at 60 °C triggers ligand rearrangement to give phosphinimine-amidinato compounds [Li{κ2-N,N'-(NR)C(NDipp)(PPh2NR)}(THF)2] (12a,c). We also propose a mechanism for the ligand rearrangement reaction from 10a to give 12a, supported by DFT calculations, which fits nicely with our experimental results. It essentially involves a carbodiimide deinsertion reaction followed by a [3 + 2] cycloaddition between the resulting lithium phosphino-amide and the carbodiimide.

Abstract
Deliberate hydrolysis of lithium cyclo-propyl-alkynylamidinates, Li[c-C3H5-C≡C(NR')2] [R' = i Pr, Cy = cyclo-hex-yl)], afforded the hitherto unknown neutral cyclo-propyl-alkynyl-amidine derivatives c-C3H5-C≡C-C(NR')(NHR') [R' = i Pr (1), Cy (2)]. Subsequent reactions of 1 or 2 with metal(II) chlorides, MCl2 (M = Mn, Fe, Co), provided the title complexes di-chlorido-bis-(3-cyclo-propyl-N,N'-diisopropyl-prop-2-ynamidine)-manganese(II), [MnCl2(C12H20N2)2], (3), di-chlorido-bis-(3-cyclo-propyl-N,N'-diisopropyl-prop-2-ynamidine)-iron(II), [FeCl2(C12H20N2)2], (4), di-chlorido-bis-(N,N'-di-cyclo-hexyl-3-cyclo-propyl-prop-2-ynamidine)-iron(II), [FeCl2(C18H28N2)2], (5), and di-chlorido-bis-(N,N'-di-cyclo-hexyl-3-cyclo-propyl-prop-2-ynamidine)-cobalt(II), [CoCl2(C18H28N2)2], (6), or more generally MCl2[c-C3H5-C≡C-C(NR')(NHR')]2 [R' = i Pr, M = Mn (3), Fe (4); R' = Cy, M = Fe (5), Co (6)] in moderate yields (30-39%). Besides their spectroscopic data (IR and MS) and elemental analyses, all complexes 3-6 were structurally characterized. The two isopropyl-substituted complexes 3 and 4 are isotypic, and so are the cyclo-hexyl-substituted complexes 5 and 6. In all cases, the central metal atom is coordinated by two Cl atoms and two N atoms in a distorted-tetra-hedral fashion, and the structure is supported by intra-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.

Abstract
The silver(I) amidinates bis-[μ-N1,N2-bis-(propan-2-yl)benzamidinato-κ2N1:N2]disilver(I), [Ag2(C13H19N2)2] or [Ag{PhC(N i Pr)2}]2 (1), and bis-(μ-N1,N2-di-cyclohexyl-3-cyclo-propyl-propynamidinato-κ2N1:N2)disilver(I), [Ag2(C18H27N2)2] or [Ag{cyclo-C3H5-C≡C-C(NCy)2}]2 (2a), exist as centrosymmetric dimers with a planar Ag2N4C2 ring and a common linear coordination of the metal atoms in the crystalline state. Moiety 2a forms a co-crystal with the related lithium amidinate, namely bis-(μ-N1,N2-di-cyclo-hexyl-3-cyclo-propyl-propynamidinato-κ2N1:N2)disilver(I) bis-(μ-N1,N2-di-cyclo-hexyl-3-cyclo-propyl-propynamidinato-κ3N1,N2:N1)bis-(tetra-hydro-furan-κO)lithium(I) toluene monosolvate, [Ag2(C18H27N2)2][Li2(C18H27N2)2(C4H8O)2]·C7H8 or [Ag{cyclo-C3H5-C≡C-C(NCy)2}]2[Li{cyclo-C3H5-C≡C-C(NCy)2}(THF)]2·C7H8, composed as 2a × 2b × toluene. The lithium moiety 2b features a typical ladder-type dimeric structure with a distorted tetra-hedral coordination of the metal atoms. In the silver(I) derivatives 1 and 2a, the amidinate ligand adopts a μ-κN:κN' coordination, while it is a μ-κN:κN:κN'-coordination in the case of lithium derivative 2b.

Abstract
Two ytterbium(III) complexes comprising alkynylamidinate ligands, namely bis-(η5-cyclo-penta-dien-yl)(3-cyclo-propyl-N,N'-diiso-propyl-propynamidinato-κ2N,N')ytterbium(III), [Yb(C5H5)2(C12H19N2)] or Cp2Yb[( i Pr2N)2C-C≡C-c-C3H5] (1) and tris-(3-phenyl-N,N'-di-cyclo-hexyl-propynamidinato-κ2N,N')ytterbium(III), [Yb(C21H27N2)3] or Yb[(CyN)2C-C≡C-Ph]3 (Cy = cyclo-hex-yl) (2) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Both complexes are monomers; for complex 2, the contribution to the scattering from highly disordered toluene solvent molecules in these voids was removed with the SQUEEZE routine [Spek (2015).
