Abstract
The general awareness regarding E-smoking is varying from country to other depending on multivariable factors. We try to investigate the prevalence of E-Cigarette Awareness, Perceived Harmfulness, Prevalence, and Associations with Smoking-Cessation Outcomes among different age groups and different sex in Jordanian individuals. The study element shaped by data gathered from various questionnaire surveys. The questionnaire was of our own design the method of data collection was through online surveys Different applications were used to distributing the questionnaire including; Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, other social applications. The study included 1536 participants. The prevalence of E-smoking is 18% among Jordanian individuals where it is 24.9% in males and 3.5% in females. 47.3% of participants believe that E-smoking has less harmful effects than traditional cigarette smoking while 46.7% believe that E-smoking has the same risk of cigarette smoking. 56% of participants believe the E-smoking can lead to addiction. E-smoking is considered an emerging modality of smoking with limited data regarding its long term impact regarding its addictive behavior and toxic effect. Awareness program regarding E-smoking is mandatory especially for the nontraditional smoker and young people.

Genotoxic and Carcinogenic Potential of Compounds Associated with Electronic Cigarettes: A Systematic Review. BIOMED RESEARCH INTERNATIONAL 2019; 2019:1386710. Abstract
Background Many studies, comparing the health associated risks of electronic cigarettes with conventional cigarettes focus mainly on the common chemical compounds found between them. Aim Review chemical compounds found exclusively in electronic cigarettes and describe their toxic effects, focusing on electronic-cigarette-only and dual electronic-cigarette and conventional cigarette users. Data Sources Literature search was carried out using PubMed. Study Eligibility Criteria Articles related exclusively to conventional and electronic cigarettes' chemical composition. Articles which reported to be financed from tobacco or electronic cigarettes industries, not reporting source of funding, not related to the chemical composition of electronic and conventional cigarettes and not relevant to tobacco research were excluded. Methods and Results Chemical compounds reported in the selected studies were tabulated using the Chemical Abstracts Service registry number for chemical substances information. A total of 50 chemical compounds were exclusively reported to be present in electronic cigarettes. Crucial health risks identified were: eye, skin, and respiratory tract irritation, with almost 50% of incidence, an increment of 10% in cytotoxic effects, when compared to compounds in common with conventional cigarettes and around 11% of compounds with unknown effects to human health. Limitations Articles reporting conflicts of interest. Conclusions and Implications of Key Findings Despite being considered as less harmful for human health, compounds found in electronic cigarettes are still a matter of research and their effects on health are yet unknown. The use of these devices is not recommended for first time users and it is considered hazardous for dual users.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) use has grown significantly in some European Union (EU) Member States (MS). A better understanding of the exposure to secondhand e-cigarette aerosols (SHA) is necessary to develop and implement comprehensive regulations on e-cigarette use in public places. This study aims to assess the observation of e-cigarette use in public places, the self-reported exposure to SHA, and the level of users' comfort using e-cigarettes in the presence of others. METHODS This is a cross-sectional study of the Wave 1 International Tobacco Control 6 European Countries Survey recruiting adult smokers (n=6011) across six EU MS: Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Spain, within the EURESTPLUS Project. A descriptive analysis was conducted to estimate the prevalence (%) of observed e-cigarette use in different places, frequency of self-reported exposure to SHA, and level of comfort using e-cigarettes in the presence of others. RESULTS In all, 31.0% of smokers observed others using e-cigarette in public places, 19.7% in indoor places where smoking is banned, and 14.5% indoors at work. Almost 37% of smokers reported to be ever exposed to SHA, ranging from 17.7% in Spain to 63.3% in Greece. The higher prevalence of observed e-cigarette use and passive exposure to SHA was reported by smokers of younger age, of higher educational level and those being current or former e-cigarette users. Part (8.8%) of the smokers who were also e-cigarette users reported feeling uncomfortable using e-cigarettes in the presence of others. CONCLUSIONS A third of smokers from six EU MS reported being exposed to SHA. Prevalence differences were observed among the countries. In the context of scarce evidence on long-term health effects of exposure to SHA, precautionary regulations protecting bystanders from involuntary exposure should be developed.
