Abstract
Abstract
Chiral molecules hold a mail position in Organic and Biological Chemistry, so pharmaceutical industry needs suitable strategies for drug synthesis. Moreover, Green Chemistry procedures are increasingly required in order to avoid environment deterioration. Catalytic synthesis, in particular organocatalysis, in thus a continuously expanding field. A survey of more recent researches involving chiral imidazolidinones is here presented, with a particular focus on immobilized catalytic systems.

Abstract
Abstract
The synthesis of novel robust and stable iridium-based immobilized catalysts on silica-polymer hybrid materials (Si-PB-Ir) is described. These catalysts are characterized by a combination of 1D 31P CP-MAS and 2D 31P-1H HETCOR and J-resolved multinuclear solid state NMR experiments. Different binding situations such as singly and multiply coordinated phosphines are identified. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations are performed to corroborate the interpretation of the experimental NMR data, in order to propose a structural model of the heterogenized catalysts. Finally, the catalytic activity of the Si-PB-Ir catalysts is investigated for the hydrogenation of styrene employing para-enriched hydrogen gas.

Abstract
Magnetic nanoparticles are a highly valuable substrate for the attachment of homogeneous inorganic and organic containing catalysts. This review deals with the very recent main advances in the development of various nanocatalytic systems by the immobilisation of homogeneous catalysts onto magnetic nanoparticles. We discuss magnetic core shell nanostructures (e.g., silica or polymer coated magnetic nanoparticles) as substrates for catalyst immobilisation. Then we consider magnetic nanoparticles bound to inorganic catalytic mesoporous structures as well as metal organic frameworks. Binding of catalytically active small organic molecules and polymers are also reviewed. After that we briefly deliberate on the binding of enzymes to magnetic nanocomposites and the corresponding enzymatic catalysis. Finally, we draw conclusions and present a future outlook for the further development of new catalytic systems which are immobilised onto magnetic nanoparticles.

Abstract
The application of polystyrene-immobilized proline-based catalysts in packed-bed reactors for the continuous-flow, direct, enantioselective α-aminoxylation of aldehydes is described. The system allows the easy preparation of a series of β-aminoxy alcohols (after a reductive workup) with excellent optical purity and with an effective catalyst loading of ca. 2.5% (four-fold reduction compared to the batch process) working at residence times of ca. 5 min.
