Abstract
When magnets are fashioned into nanoscale elements, they exhibit a wide variety of phenomena replete with rich physics and the lure of tantalizing applications. In this topical review, we discuss some of these phenomena, especially those that have come to light recently, and highlight their potential applications. We emphasize what drives a phenomenon, what undergirds the dynamics of the system that exhibits the phenomenon, how the dynamics can be manipulated, and what specific features can be harnessed for technological advances. For the sake of balance, we point out both advantages and shortcomings of nanomagnet based devices and systems predicated on the phenomena we discuss. Where possible, we chart out paths for future investigations that can shed new light on an intriguing phenomenon and/or facilitate both traditional and non-traditional applications.

Abstract
Iron deficiency is an important subclinical disease affecting over one billion people worldwide. A growing body of clinical records supports the use of intravenous iron-carbohydrate complexes for patients where iron replenishment is necessary and oral iron supplements are either ineffective or cannot be tolerated by the gastrointestinal tract. A critical characteristic of iron-carbohydrate drugs is the complexity of their core-shell structure, which has led to differences in the efficacy and safety of various iron formulations. This review describes parameters influencing the safety and effectiveness of iron-carbohydrate complexes during production, storage, handling, and clinical application. We summarized the physicochemical and biological assessments of commercially available iron carbohydrate nanomedicines to provide an overview of publicly available data. Further, we reviewed studies that described how subtle differences in the manufacturing process of iron-carbohydrate complexes can impact on the physicochemical, biological, and clinical outcomes of original product versus their intended copies or so-called iron "similar" products.

Abstract
The homogeneous and substantial dispersion of nanoparticles into base fluids is vital since the final properties of any nanolubricant are estimated by their quality of stability. This paper addresses the effect of NiO nanoparticles dispersion into SN500 lubricant oil and its nonisothermal thermo stability. The dispersion of NiO nanoparticles is achieved by ultrasonication method. The thermo stability is estimated by Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The result shows that the thermo stability of base fluid enhances up to 0.3[Formula: see text]wt.% particle concentration then it decreases due to agglomeration of dispersed nanoparticles. The findings recommend that 0.1[Formula: see text]wt.% and 0.3[Formula: see text]wt.% of NiO-nanolubricant can be used for the temperature-dependent applications up to 200∘C.

Abstract
Nanoparticles form the fundamental building blocks for many exciting applications in various scientific disciplines due to its unique features such as large surface to mass ratio, targeting potential, ability to adsorbed and carry other compound which makes them suitable for biomedical applications. However, the problem of the large-scale synthesis of nanoparticles remains challenging due to physical instability associated with nanoparticles which lead to generation of aggregates particles with high polydispersity index (PDI) indicating low particle homogeneity and eventually loss of their special nanoscale properties. The stabilisation concept can be generated by repulsive electrostatic force, which nanoparticles experience, when they are surrounded by a double layer of electric charges. Selection of proper stabiliser will govern the stability of NPs and ultimately development of optimised drug delivery system. This review summarises mechanism of physical instability issues likely to be encountered during the development of nanoformulations. It also discusses potential stabilising agents used so far and their mechanism in achieving stable nanosystems.

Abstract
New methods for the production of colloidal Ga nanoparticles (GaNPs) are introduced based on the evaporation of gallium on expendable aluminum zinc oxide (AZO) layer. The nanoparticles can be prepared in aqueous or organic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran in order to be used in different sensing applications. The particles had a quasi mono-modal distribution with diameters ranging from 10 nm to 80 nm, and their aggregation status depended on the solvent nature. Compared to common chemical synthesis, our method assures higher yield with the possibility of tailoring particles size by adjusting the deposition time. The GaNPs have been studied by spectrophotometry to obtain the absorption spectra. The colloidal solutions exhibit strong plasmonic absorption in the ultra violet (UV) region around 280 nm, whose width and intensity mainly depend on the nanoparticles dimensions and their aggregation state. With regard to the colloidal GaNPs flocculate behavior, the water solvent case has been investigated for different pH values, showing UV-visible absorption because of the formation of NPs clusters. Using discrete dipole approximation (DDA) method simulations, a close connection between the UV absorption and NPs with a diameter smaller than ~40 nm was observed.

Abstract
AbstractThe treatment of chromium tanned sheepskins with poly(hydroxyl urethane) and dispersion of chemically synthesized nanosilver showed the best resistance to fungi and bacterial exposure tests. These collagen-based materials containing different amounts of nanosilver were investigated by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy coupled with Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy. The influence of sheepskins treated with silver nanoparticles on the wound healing process was assessed and the nanoparticles concentration seems to have a positive effect up to 370 ppm and does not influence the inflammatory process above this concentration.

Abstract
Micelle-vesicle-micelle (MVM) transitions are observed in the aqueous-mixed ionic liquid (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium octyl sulfate and 3-methyl-1-octylimidazolium chloride) system. The surface activity of mixed ILs, phase behavior, and solution structures in the system have been thoroughly characterized using conductometry, tensiometry, fluorimetry, dynamic light scattering (DLS), viscometry, turbidity, atomic force microscopy (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and (1)H NMR techniques. Synergetic interactions between the two ILs in monolayers at the air/water interface and in micelles/vesicles have been determined using the regular solution approach, and the origins of spontaneous vesicle formation in this novel system are discussed. Using a photoreduction method, the formation of stable gold nanoparticles (GNPs) and microscale nanosheets of different shapes and sizes in the micellar and vesicle solutions has been reported. The studies show the potential of a mixed IL system in constructing stable micelles/supramolecular assemblies, such as bilayer vesicles, which are effective in the preparation of the desired nanomaterials.

Abstract
The adsorption and removal of amaranth (AM) from an aqueous solution by iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) coated with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as adsorbent was reported. The novel magnetic separation was quite efficient for the adsorption and desorption of AM. In an aqueous solution of AM at 25 degrees C, the adsorption data could be fitted by the Langmuir equation with a maximum adsorption amount of 1.05 mg mg(-1) and a Langmuir adsorption equilibrium constant of 0.90 Lmg(-1). The effect of temperature, pH of aqueous medium, electrolyte concentration, composition of desorbent solvent and interfering ions on the recovery process were also investigated. Methanol was used for desorption of adsorbed AM. Due to the absence of internal diffusion resistance both adsorption and desorption of AM were fast and could be completed within 5 min. The results indicated that the CTAB-coated IONPs could be employed in the removal of the anionic dye from wastewater. The AM was removed successfully in spiked samples of Karoon River water.
