Abstract
3D printing technology is an increasing approach consisting of material manufacturing through the selective incremental delamination of materials to form a 3D structure to produce products. This technology has different advantages, including low cost, short time, diversification, and high precision. Widely adopted additive manufacturing technologies enable the creation of diagnostic tools and expand treatment options. Coupled with its rapid deployment, 3D printing is endowed with high customizability that enables users to build prototypes in shorts amounts of time which translates into faster adoption in the medical field. This review mainly summarizes the application of 3D printing technology in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, including the challenges and the prospects combined with other technologies applied to the medical field.

Abstract
Many common chronic diseases of aging are negatively associated with socioeconomic status (SES). This study examines whether inequalities can already be observed in the molecular underpinnings of such diseases in the 30s, before many of them become prevalent. Data come from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (Add Health), a large, nationally representative sample of US subjects who were followed for over two decades beginning in adolescence. We now have transcriptomic data (mRNA-seq) from a random subset of 4,543 of these young adults. SES in the household-of-origin and in young adulthood were examined as covariates of a priori-defined mRNA-based disease signatures and of specific gene transcripts identified de novo. An SES composite from young adulthood predicted many disease signatures, as did income and subjective status. Analyses highlighted SES-based inequalities in immune, inflammatory, ribosomal, and metabolic pathways, several of which play central roles in senescence. Many genes are also involved in transcription, translation, and diverse signaling mechanisms. Average causal-mediated effect models suggest that body mass index plays a key role in accounting for these relationships. Overall, the results reveal inequalities in molecular risk factors for chronic diseases often decades before diagnoses and suggest future directions for social signal transduction models that trace how social circumstances regulate the human genome.

Childhood socioeconomic status, healthy lifestyle, and colon cancer risk in a cohort of U.S. women. Prev Med 2022; 161:107097. Abstract
Colon cancer is the third most common cancer in the US. While the socioeconomic status -health gradient has been established, findings linking adult socioeconomic status to colon cancer incidence specifically are mixed. Considering childhood socioeconomic status (CSES) and relevant risk factors, including related lifestyle behaviors, may provide more insight. At baseline in 1976, women from the Nurses' Health Study reported CSES as defined by parents' occupation when participants were age 16. Lifestyle-related factors (i.e., physical activity, body mass index, diet, alcohol, and tobacco consumption) were self-reported in 1988 or 1990, and every 4 years thereafter until 2016. Cox regression models estimated hazards ratio (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) of adopting an unhealthy lifestyle (N = 22,507) and developing colon cancer (N = 100,921) between 1976 and 2016, separately, across parents' occupation levels. During follow-up, 2342 cases of colon cancer occurred. Compared to women whose parents were white collar workers, women whose parents were farmers had lower colon cancer risk (HR = 0.84; 95%CI: 0.72, 0.98), but no differences were evident for women whose parents were blue collar workers in models adjusting for age and familial history of colon cancer. Using the same comparison group, risk of adopting an unhealthy lifestyle over follow-up was not significantly different in women with farmer parents (HR = 0.96, 95% CI: 0.91, 1.02), while children of blue collar workers had slightly greater risk (HR = 1.07; 95%CI: 1.03, 1.12) in age-adjusted models. These findings suggest the impact of CSES on colon cancer risk is modest and varies across outcomes and occupational status.

Abstract
BACKGROUND While some risk factors for breast cancer have been confirmed, less is known about the role of early biological and social risk factors for breast cancer in adult life. METHODS In a prospective follow-up in the Northern Finland Birth Cohort 1966 consisting of 5,308 women, 120 breast cancers were reported via national registers by the end of 2018. Early risk factors were examined with univariate and multivariate analyses using Cox regression analysis. The main results are reported with HRs and their 95% confidence intervals (CI). RESULTS In the multivariate-adjusted models, women whose mothers lived in urban areas (HR, 1.68; 95% CI, 1.13-2.51) during pregnancy, were low educated (HR, 2.40; 95% CI, 1.30-4.45), and had been diagnosed with breast cancer (HR, 1.97; 95% CI, 1.09-3.58) had a higher risk for breast cancer in adult life. Lower BMI at the age of 14 associated nonsignificantly with the risk of breast cancer (Mann-Whitney U test, P = 0.087). No association between birth size and breast cancer risk in adult life was found. CONCLUSIONS Early-life residence and socioeconomic conditions may have an impact on developing breast cancer in women in adult life. All breast cancer cases of this study were relatively young, and most of them are assumed to be premenopausal. IMPACT This study is one of a few prospective birth cohort studies to examine early-life socioeconomic factors and breast cancer risk in adult life. This study is limited due to small number of cases.

Abstract
Although cancer mortality rates declined in the United States in recent decades, some populations experienced little benefit from advances in cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship care. In fact, some cancer disparities between populations of low and high socioeconomic status widened during this period. Many potentially preventable cancer deaths continue to occur, and disadvantaged populations bear a disproportionate burden. Reducing the burden of cancer and eliminating cancer-related disparities will require more focused and coordinated action across multiple sectors and in partnership with communities. This article, part of the American Cancer Society's Cancer Control Blueprint series, introduces a framework for understanding and addressing social determinants to advance cancer health equity and presents actionable recommendations for practice, research, and policy. The article aims to accelerate progress toward eliminating disparities in cancer and achieving health equity.
