Abstract
Facial lifting with polydioxanone barbed threads has been widely used in aesthetic treatment for years. However, gravity resists the thread and continuously pulls the face downward. This study aims to determine methods to lift the skin more efficiently with longer longevity. The quality of the thread is important and is defined by the pulling and pullout strengths. Moreover, the method of using threads is also important. We compared five thread-implantation techniques and six angles for the V-shaped implantation methods using a polydimethylsiloxane model to simulate thread migration in tissues. The results of the simulated thread-lift techniques can provide valuable information for physicians, enabling a more precise design of facelift surgery techniques.

Abstract
Ultrasonography is a well-tolerated procedure that aids in the targeted esthetic therapies of special cutaneous regions, as well as in the prevention (vascular mapping, identification of previous filler, and others) and management of potential complications (vascular occlusion, external vascular compression, product misplacement or migration, inflammatory reactions, and others). It has lately been promoted as the first-line imaging tool to address injectables. In this article, we aim to review the evolving role of ultrasonography in cosmetic filler procedures, from the fundamental ultrasound characterization of cosmetic fillers to the ultrasound-enhanced detection and management of cosmetic filler complications, including ultrasound's role in hyaluronidase-guided injections for cosmetic filler dissolution. Furthermore, the paper explores the integral role played by ultrasound in enhancing the precision, efficacy, and safety of additional minimally invasive aesthetic techniques such as mesotherapy, radiofrequency, cryolipolysis, and polydioxanone procedures.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study evaluated the content and patient educational quality of YouTube videos on facelift surgery for facial rejuvenation. This study investigated the relationship between education quality compared to video content, video metrics, and popularity. METHODS Two hundred videos were identified across 4 search terms: "facelift surgery," "facelift surgery what to expect," "facelift surgery patient education," and "what is facelift surgery." Unrelated videos, operating room recordings, medical professional lectures, non-English, non-audio, and testimonials were excluded from review. Video quality was assessed using the Global Quality Score (GQS) (range: 1-5), modified DISCERN score (range: 5-25), and JAMA Benchmark Criteria (range: 0-4). Secondary outcomes included upload source, video metrics (views, likes, dislikes, duration, days since upload, comments), and Video Power Indexto measure popularity. The first 10 comments on videos were characterized as positive, neutral, or negative. RESULTS One hundred forty-three videos were excluded (43 did not meet criteria, 100 duplicates), and 57 videos were included. Fifty-five videos (96.5%) were uploaded by private medical practices. Overall video quality was poor across all 3 scoring systems: GQS (2.92 ± 1.14), modified DISCERN (13.03 ± 3.64), and JAMA Benchmark Criteria (1.78 ± 0.52). Popularity positively correlated with JAMA Benchmark Criteria (R = .49, P < .05) but did not correlate with other quality criteria. CONCLUSIONS For patients undergoing facelift surgery, there are limited educational videos on YouTube with few videos detailing indications, alternatives, complications, and the postoperative course. YouTube is a growing resource for patient education and opportunities exist for medical institutions to produce higher-quality videos for prospective patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) has been developed for the treatment of skin wrinkles on the face, neck, and body. OBJECTIVES This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a home-used HIFU device on wrinkles in mice based on the expression of fibrosis-related genes and proteins. METHODS The backs of 20-week-old mice were treated with a home-used HIFU using the following probes: 4 MHz, 1.5 mm focal depth. The treated mice were compared with young mice by histological examination, real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and immunohistochemistry. Histological examination was performed by trichrome staining. Real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry were conducted to determine the expression of collagen types I and III, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1, and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP)-1. RESULTS Dermal thickness was increased after treatment with the home-used HIFU device at 30 and 60 s per day for 1 week or 30 and 60 s per day for 2 weeks on trichrome. Gene and protein expression of collagen types I and III and elastin were increased after treatment with HIFU at all options of 30 and 60 s per day for 1 week or 30 and 60 s per day for 2 weeks. Gene and protein expressions of MMP-1 and TIMP-1 were decreased after treatment with HIFU device at 30 and 60 s per day for 1 week or 30 and 60 s per day for 2 weeks. CONCLUSION The home-used HIFU device can be an effective therapeutic modality for skin tightening.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Minimally invasive facial rejuvenation is a popular and well-established treatment for patients seeking facial lifting. OBJECTIVE The authors combined facial microliposuction, radiofrequency, and thread lifting technology as a comprehensive treatment (LRT) for facial rejuvenation in a case series of 57 patients. METHODS A total of 76 patients underwent surgery and 75% completed 6 months of follow-up (57 patients); the patients were aged 26 to 51 (33.6 ± 4.5) years. All patients were followed up for hematoma within 1 week after the operation and for skin numbness and muscle paralysis at 1 week and 3 months postoperatively. Patient satisfaction with the postoperative aesthetic effects was analyzed by Face-Q™ at 6 months after the operation. RESULTS The score for hematoma within 1 week was 1.21 ± 0.33, scores for postoperative skin numbness within 1 week and 3 months were 2.06 ± 0.51 and 1.17 ± 0.32, respectively, and scores for postoperative muscle paralysis within 1 week and 3 months were 1.31 ± 0.55 and 1.00 ± 0, respectively. Fifty-seven patients completed Face-Q™ (score: 22.1 ± 1.8, standard score: 82.2 ± 14.8). CONCLUSION LRT is a minimally invasive method that can achieve a synergistic and satisfactory result for patients with mild to moderate facial skin sagging.

Abstract
Eyebrow elevation and reshaping are common concerns that we handle in everyday practice, and we have noticed that the trend is shifting from a medical concern to a cosmetic one. Several eyebrow lift methods are available, both invasive and non-surgical. The method of choice depends on several factors, such as patient expectations and beliefs, financial budget, acceptance of downtime and the available tools in the practice. In this article, we review the recent literature on non-surgical eyebrow lift methods to provide an overview of the current state of this field. We discuss seven different methods for eyebrow lift and reshaping, including botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, fractional radiofrequency, high-intensity focused ultrasound, thermo-mechanical ablation, lasers, and threads. Moreover, we provide practical insight into the procedure, injection techniques, expected results, and patient satisfaction rate.

Abstract
Abstract
Background In recent years thread lift has become widespread; however, existing methods need to improve their long-term outcome, which requires considering topographic anatomy of face and neck, especially the ligamentous apparatus. This study aims to assess the effectiveness and safety of an innovative method of one-time three-step thread facelift, which provides an additional support to the ligamentous structures of the upper, middle, and lower thirds of the face and neck.
Methods The study included 357 patients aged 32 to 67 years with various morphotypes of aging. The original method of thread lift was applied, and its effectiveness was followed up for to 2 years. The Wrinkle Severity Rating Score (WSRS) and Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) scores were used for assessment by investigators, independent observers, and patients. Statistical significance was determined using paired t-test and chi-square test.
Results The mean WSRS score was 3.88 ± 0.88 before the thread lift, 1.93 ± 0.81 one month after the procedure, and 2.36 ± 0.85 after 2 years of follow-up. The mean GAIS was 4.80 ± 0.04 one month after thread lift, and 4.01 ± 0.04 after 2 years, while in the patients' assessment Global Satisfaction Scale was 4.86 ± 0.02 and 4.10 ± 0.02, respectively. There were no clinically significant complications throughout the observation period.
Conclusion The new method of one-time three-step thread fixation of the soft tissues of the face and neck demonstrated a high degree of satisfaction by both experts and patients after 2 years of follow-up. It showed high efficacy and safety, including in the group of patients with pronounced age-related changes of the skin of face and neck.
