Abstract
Among new technologies aimed at improving water productivity, nanotechnology have been identified as effective means of enhancing the properties of agricultural water. Building on the synergy of plasma and nanobubbles, this study explored the combination of plasma electric discharge and nanocavitation as a novel approach for soilless cultivation. The study aimed to investigate the impact of this hybrid technology on hydroponics nutrient solution. Additionally, the study further aimed to assess the effect of both technologies individually, as well as various application periods, including 3, 9, and 15 min for hybrid technology use. The study employed the nutrient flow technique to hydroponically cultivate lettuce. The findings showed that the application of each technology individually did not significantly increase yield. However, the hybrid technology treatment for 9 min resulted in a significant yield increase of almost 60 %. This improvement can be attributed to the stability, solubility, and absorption of products resulting from plasma treatment, as well as the antimicrobial and anti-algae effects of both technologies. Additionally, an increase in flavonoid and potassium content and a decrease in iron were observed in plants grown under optimal treatment. Overall, this study demonstrated the potential for synergy between plasma and nanobubble techniques in hydroponic culture.

Abstract
This study investigates the effects of non-thermal plasma (NTP) treatment on the germination characteristics of coriander seeds (Coriandrum sativum L.). Different germination factors, water imbibition rate and changes in mass, were analyzed. The results indicate that a suitable duration of NTP treatment (180 s and 300 s) enhances seed germination characteristics, whereas prolonged exposure (420 s) leads to adverse effects. Furthermore, shorter NTP exposures (180 s) improved water absorption and surface properties of seeds, while longer exposures (420 s) caused mass loss and compromised seed vigor. Overall, the findings demonstrate the significance of optimizing NTP treatment conditions for enhancing seed germination characteristics.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a novel signaling molecule involved in the growth and development of plants and their response to stress. However, the involvement of H2S in promoting the growth and development of tobacco plants is still unclear. RESULTS In this study, we explored the effect of pre-soaking or irrigating the roots of tobacco plants with 0.0, 2.0, 4.0, 6.0, and 8.0 mM of sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) on endogenous H2S production, antioxidant enzymatic and cysteine desulfhydrase activities, seed germination, agronomic traits, photosynthetic pigments contents, and root vigor. The results revealed that exogenous NaHS treatment could significantly promote endogenous H2S production by inducing gene expression of D/L-CD and the activities of D/L-CD enzymes. Additionally, a significant increase in the agronomic traits and the contents of photosynthetic pigments, and no significant difference in carotenoid content among tobacco plants treated with 0.0 to 8.0 mM of NaHS was observed. Additionally, a significant increase in the germination speed, dry weight, and vigor of tobacco seeds, whereas no significant effect on the percentage of seed germination was observed on NaHS treatment. Furthermore, NaHS treatment could significantly increase the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) enzymes, which reduces damage due to oxidative stress by maintaining reactive oxygen species homeostasis. CONCLUSIONS These results would aid in enhancing our understanding of the involvement of H2S, a novel signaling molecule to promote the growth and development of tobacco plants.

Abstract
In vivo biological regulations of the allergenicity of tropomyosin (TM) treated by cold plasma (CP) were investigated by in vivo mouse model. The sensitization models of Balb/c mice were successfully established. CP treatment reduced the allergic symptoms of mice and regulated the Th1/Th2 balance to prevent allergy by activating Treg cells, which was deduced by serum and cytokines analysis. For intestinal flora analysis, allergy occurrence was accompanied by the decreased species abundance and the increased species diversity of intestinal flora. The significant species composition difference between the TM group and the PBS group showed a possible connection between bacterial diversity and allergy. Furthermore, Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Parabacteroides, Alloprevotella, Bacteroides, and Lachnospiraceae could relate to allergy occurrence. Intestinal section analysis suggested that allergy occurrence was accompanied by the damaged intestinal structure, and CP treatment could relieve the damage caused by an allergy.

Abstract
Blueberry is a class of berries with high nutritional and economic value but has short shelf life due to its rapid softening at room temperature. This study investigated the effects of plasma-activated water (PAW) treatment on the softening quality and cell wall pectin metabolism of blueberries stored for 10 d at 25 °C after being immersed in PAW for 10 min. PAW was generated by plasma with different times (1 and 2 min), fixed frequency (10 kHz) and fixed voltage (50 kV). The analysis showed that the firmness of PAW-treated fruit significantly increased (P < 0.05) by 36.4% after 10 d storage. PAW treatment controlled the solubilization of pectin from water-insoluble to water-soluble. The activities of cell wall pectin-degrading enzymes like polygalacturonase (PG), β-galactosidase (β-Gal) and pectin methylesterase (PME) in PAW-treated blueberries decreased by 15.7%, 18.3%, and 27.9%, respectively, on day 10. After PAW treatment, blueberries also maintained better postharvest quality (firmness, colour, soluble solid content and anthocyanin content) and intact epidermal waxy and cell wall structure. These results suggested that PAW showed great potential for postharvest fresh-keeping of blueberry.

Abstract
Numerous benefits of nanotechnology are available in many scientific domains. In this sense, nanoparticles serve as the fundamental foundation of nanotechnology. Recent developments in nanotechnology have demonstrated that nanoparticles have enormous promise for use in almost every field of life sciences. Nanoscience and nanotechnology use the distinctive characteristics of tiny nanoparticles (NPs) for various purposes in electronics, fabrics, cosmetics, biopharmaceutical industries, and medicines. The exclusive physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of nanoparticles prompt different immune responses in the body. Nanoparticles are believed to have strong potential for the development of advanced adjuvants, cytokines, vaccines, drugs, immunotherapies, and theranostic applications for the treatment of targeted bacterial, fungal, viral, and allergic diseases and removal of the tumor with minimal toxicity as compared to macro and microstructures. This review highlights the medical and non-medical applications with a detailed discussion on enhanced and targeted natural and acquired immunity against pathogens provoked by nanoparticles. The immunological aspects of the nanotechnology field are beyond the scope of this Review. However, we provide updated data that will explore novel theragnostic immunological applications of nanotechnology for better and immediate treatment.
