Abstract
Antidepressant-induced jitteriness/anxiety syndrome is characterized as anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia, and (hypo)mania, which appear immediately after initiation or increased dosage of an antidepressant. This report describes a case of the jitteriness/anxiety syndrome caused by the coadministration of celecoxib with escitalopram and trazodone in a patient with depression and spondylolisthesis. The depression of a patient, a woman in her 60 s, had been in remission at least for 5 years under treatment using escitalopram and trazodone. Immediately after coadministration of celecoxib because of her buttock and limb pain, she showed anxiety, agitation, akathisia, insomnia, irritability, aggressiveness, impulsivity, and hypomania. These symptoms disappeared after the discontinuation of celecoxib. The present case suggests that coadministration of celecoxib with escitalopram and trazodone can cause the jitteriness/anxiety syndrome, presumably via a pharmacokinetic interaction of celecoxib with these antidepressants and/or the effects of celecoxib on serotonergic neurotransmission.

Abstract
The management of neuropsychiatric disorders involves different pharmacological treatments. In order to perform efficacious drug treatments, the metabolism of CYP genes can help to foresee potential drug–drug interactions. The NeuroPGx software is an open-source web-based tool for genotype/diplotype/phenotype interpretation for neuropharmacogenomic purposes. The software provides information about: (i) the genotypes of evaluated SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms); (ii) the main diplotypes in CYP genes and corresponding metabolization phenotypes; (iii) the list of neuropsychiatric drugs with recommended dosage adjustment (according to CPIC and DPWG guidelines); (iv) the list of possible (rare) diplotypes and corresponding metabolization phenotypes. The combined application of NeuroPGx software to the OpenArray technology results in an easy, quick, and highly automated device ready to be used in routine clinical practice.

Abstract
The efficacy of modern antidepressants is largely related to their ability to enhance neurotransmission of serotonin. The medicines with serotonergic properties include trazodone, which is intermediate between tricyclic antidepressants with their powerful antidepressive effect and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, as first-line agents in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders. The value of trazodone for clinical practice is determined by the effective elimination of the symptoms of major depressive disorder in combination with good tolerability, including in elderly patients. Among the advantages of trazodone is the absence of such undesirable effects as sexual dysfunction and weight gain. Trazodone has significant hypnotic and anxiolytic properties, which gives it special meaning in the treatment of depression, combined with insomnia and anxiety. It is emphasized that the beneficial effect of trazodone on sleep should not prevent its main use as a drug for treating major depressive disorder regardless of whether depression is accompanied by insomnia or not.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Patients living with neuroendocrine tumors have high rates of depression, often necessitating antidepressants, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI). Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) secrete vasoactive substances, including serotonin, which contribute to the cluster of symptoms known as carcinoid syndrome (flushing and diarrhea). Controversy exists over whether or not antidepressants are safe in NET. We aimed to study the safety of antidepressant use in NET patients. METHODS We conducted a retrospective chart review of patients with well differentiated NET who were also prescribed antidepressants from January 2008 through April 2015. The study took place at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and was approved by the hospital's institutional review board. RESULTS Ninety-two patients were included. There were 16 (17.4%) patients with carcinoid syndrome (10 ileum, 1 duodenum, 1 jejunum and 4 unknown primary); and 76 (82.6%) patients without (41 lung, 9 pancreas, 8 ileal, 5 duodenum, 5 appendix, 2 unknown primary, 1 jejunum and 5 other). Median duration of antidepressant prescription was 11.6 months (range, 0-121) among those with carcinoid syndrome (N = 16) and 14.3 months (range, 0-172) among those without carcinoid syndrome (n = 76). Antidepressants were stopped in 31 cases (33.7%), though the reason was not specified in the majority of cases (n = 18; 58%). None of the patients developed carcinoid syndrome while being prescribed antidepressants. No patients developed carcinoid crisis. CONCLUSION Our findings do not support previous authors' recommendations that SSRIs must be avoided in NET patients. Several classes of antidepressants appeared safe in NET patients with and without carcinoid syndrome.

Abstract
Delirium is a complex but common disorder in palliative care with a prevalence between 13 and 88 % but a particular frequency at the end of life (terminal delirium). By reviewing the most relevant studies (MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycLit, PsycInfo, Cochrane Library), a correct assessment to make the diagnosis (e.g., DSM-5, delirium assessment tools), the identification of the possible etiological factors, and the application of multicomponent and integrated interventions were reported as the correct steps to effectively manage delirium in palliative care. In terms of medications, both conventional (e.g., haloperidol) and atypical antipsychotics (e.g., olanzapine, risperidone, quetiapine, aripiprazole) were shown to be equally effective in the treatment of delirium. No recommendation was possible in palliative care regarding the use of other drugs (e.g., α-2 receptors agonists, psychostimulants, cholinesterase inhibitors, melatonergic drugs). Non-pharmacological interventions (e.g., behavioral and educational) were also shown to be important in the management of delirium. More research is necessary to clarify how to more thoroughly manage delirium in palliative care.

Abstract
Delirium in palliative care patients is common and its diagnosis and treatment is a major challenge. Our objective was to perform a literature analysis in two phases on the recent scientific evidence (2007-2012) on the diagnosis and treatment of delirium in adults receiving palliative care. In phase 1 (descriptive studies and narrative reviews) 133 relevant articles were identified: 73 addressed the issue of delirium secondarily, and 60 articles as the main topic. However, only 4 prospective observational studies in which delirium was central were identified. Of 135 articles analysed in phase 2 (clinical trials or descriptive studies on treatment of delirium in palliative care patients), only 3 were about prevention or treatment: 2 retrospective studies and one clinical trial on multicomponent prevention in cancer patients. Much of the recent literature is related to reviews on studies conducted more than a decade ago and on patients different to those receiving palliative care. In conclusion, recent scientific evidence on delirium in palliative care is limited and suboptimal. Prospective studies are urgently needed that focus specifically on this highly vulnerable population.

Abstract
Delirium is a common neuropsychiatric syndrome in the elderly that can occur in several different settings caused by several different processes. It is common and causes increased morbidity and mortality to those affected. This clinical review discusses the prediction, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of delirium in the elderly population. Several strategies to predict delirium are noted with the discussion of pharmacological and nonpharmacological trials of prevention and treatment. Diagnosis of delirium, specifically with the use of objective instruments, is discussed, as is the evidence for pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment strategies. Discussion of the neurobiology and genetic markers for delirium may elucidate further areas for future research.

Abstract
These consensus guidelines have been developed by a group of Latin American experts in pain management, to point out patterns and make practical recommendations to guide the diagnosis, identify warning signs (yellow and red flags), and establish comprehensive medical management (pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatment) and monitoring plans for patients enduring neuropathic pain. From the viewpoint of pharmacologic management, drugs are classified into groups according to efficacy, availability/accessibility, and safety criteria. Drugs are recommended for use depending on the disease and particular circumstances of each patient, with an approach that favors multimodal treatment while taking into consideration the idiosyncrasies of medical practice in Latin America.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW The objectives of this review are to identify new studies in the area of psychooncology, and ascertain the directions current studies are taking. RECENT FINDINGS New studies relate to the measurement of distress, which is being strongly proposed as the sixth vital sign in the assessment of patients with cancer. Attempts to use different scales and instruments to screen for depression and psychiatric morbidity in patients with cancer have also been made. Posttraumatic stress disorder, fatigue, somatization and cognitive dysfunctions have been studied. The field of psychoneuroimmunology has further strengthened our understanding of the impact of stress on immune function. Cancer survivors and their coping methods, sexual health, and suicidality have been the focus of research in the last year. Quality of life of caregivers has also been studied, as has spirituality. Cognitive behaviour group therapy in relatives of patients with cancer appears to be helpful. SUMMARY New studies in psychooncology have focused on the relationship between psychosocial factors and cancer, such as detection of distress and psychiatric morbidity, intervention, coping methods used by survivors, and psychoneuroimmunology. Research in psychooncology is an exciting area despite numerous challenges.
