Abstract
A new nanozyme (Cu-NADH) is reported composed of Cu-coordinated nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) exhibiting laccase-like activity. The Cu-NADH nanozyme had higher heat tolerance and catalytic efficiency than natural laccase, and its catalytic activity can be enhanced by high concentration of Cl ions and it is intensely inhibited by phosphate. Therefore, a colorimetric method based on Cu-NADH and indigo carmine was successfully developed to detect phosphate in water. This method showed an excellent selectivity for phosphate, and it had a linear relationship in the phosphate concentration range 2-50 μM with a detection limit of 0.37 μM. We believe that this example of coordination between metal ions and biomolecules to mimic natural enzymes can inspire more effective and alternative strategies in nanozyme design and expand their use in sensing and determination.

Combination of Counter Current Salting-Out Homogenous Liquid-Liquid Extraction with Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction for the High-Performance Liquid Chromatographic Determination of Environmental Estrogens in Water Samples. Abstract
In this paper, counter current salting-out homogenous liquid-liquid extraction was combined with dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction for the determination of environmental estrogens in water samples by high-performance liquid chromatography. In this method, initially, sodium chloride was filled into a syringe and a mixture of water sample and acetonitrile was driven to pass through the syringe. Due to salting-out effect, fine droplets of acetonitrile went up through the remaining mixture and aggregated as a separated layer on the top. Then, the collected organic phase (acetonitrile) was removed with a syringe and mixed with carbon tetrachloride (extraction solvent). In the second step, the mixed organic phase was rapidly injected into 5 mL of distilled water to further enrich the analytes. Good linearity was obtained in the concentration range of 2.0~200 ng/mL for diethylstilbestrol (DES) and 8.0~200 ng/mL for octylphenol (OP), respectively. Limits of detection were 0.09 ng/mL for DES and 0.20 ng/mL for OP, respectively. Relative standard deviations for intra- and inter-day precisions were less than 2.1 and 3.1%, respectively. Finally, the established method was successfully applied to determine DES and OP in river water, well water, bottled water and campus drinking water samples with recoveries in the range from 81.0 to 105.9%.

Evaluation of metal-organic framework NH 2-MIL-101(Fe) as an efficient sorbent for dispersive micro-solid phase extraction of phenolic pollutants in environmental water samples. Abstract
This work proposes an application of amine-functionalized metal-organic framework (NH2-MIL-101(Fe)) as sorbent for dispersive micro-solid phase extraction (D-μSPE) of ten priority phenolic pollutants. The sorbent was simply synthesized under facile condition. The entire D-μSPE process was optimized by studying the effect of experimental parameters affecting the extraction recovery of the target analytes. The final extract was analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detector. Under the optimum condition, the proposed procedure can be applied for wide linear calibration ranges between 1.25–5000 μg L−1 with the correlation coefficients of greater than 0.9900. The limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantitation (LOQs) were in the ranges of 0.4–9.5 μg L−1 and 1.25–30 μg L−1, respectively. The precision evaluated in terms of the relative standard deviations (RSDs) of the intra- and inter-day determinations of the phenol compounds at their LOQ concentrations were below 13.9% and 12.2%, respectively. High enrichment factors up to 120 were reached. The developed method has been successfully applied to determine phenol residues in environmental water samples. The satisfactory recoveries obtained by spiking phenol standards at two different concentrations (near LOQs and 5 times as high as LOQs) ranged from 68.4–114.4%. The results demonstrate that the NH2-MIL-101(Fe) material is promising sorbent in the D-μSPE of phenolic pollutants.

Abstract
We herein describe a high-throughput 96-well plate micro-solid phase extraction sample preparation technique based on novel sulfonated-polyaniline/polyacrylonitrile nanofiber mats (sulfonated-PANI/PAN NFMs) for multiresidue detection of fluoroquinolones (FQs) in various animal-origin food samples. Through the double-modification of polyaniline and sulfonic acid, the resulting functionalized sulfonated-PANI/PAN NFMs present high extraction efficiency for FQs. Compared with the existing methods, this approach demonstrates its advantages of being suitable for more sample matrices (milk, animal muscle, liver, kidney, and egg), lower sample amount (0.5 g), lower sorbent requirement (5.0 mg), lower volume of organic solvent (0.7 mL), shorter time (0.2 min per sample), and high sensitivity (0.012-0.06 μg·kg-1). In addition, sulfonated-PANI/PAN NFMs possess excellent reusability which could be reused 10 times without an obvious decrease in extraction efficiency. Combined with ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, the novel sample preparation technique can be expected as an efficient method for routine trace FQ residue monitoring in animal-origin food samples.
