Abstract
To simply and rapidly detect the highly phosphorylated tau protein at threonine 217 (p-tau217) as a precautionary measure against Alzheimer's disease and distinguish it from other neurodegenerative diseases, a novel immunosensor was prepared using luminol as the electrochemiluminescent (ECL) sensing probe reinforced by Au-Cu nanoparticles (Au-Cu NPs). The Au-Cu alloy NPs were prepared via a co-reduction reaction, exhibiting excellent conductivity and catalytic activity. These properties remarkably enhanced the ECL of luminol, providing a suitable background for the sensing response. After the Au-Cu NPs were decorated on the surface of indium tin oxide glass using 3-amino-propyl trimethoxysilane, the antibody of p-tau217 was immobilized via dominant Au-N bonding to enable the biological specificity of the immunosensor. When p-tau217 specifically interacted with an antibody to form an immune complex on the sensing interface, the ECL signal of the sensor was considerably inhibited by the resulting giant biomolecular complex. This complex prevented luminol diffusion to the electrode surface and electron transfer. The resulting immunosensor showed remarkable sensitivity to p-tau217, with a wide linear detection range from 5 to 600 pg/mL. A detection limit of 0.56 pg/mL was achieved, with recoveries in human serum ranging from 92.3 to 109%. This ECL immunosensor demonstrated high sensitivity and specificity toward p-tau217, along with good reproducibility and stability, providing a new approach for clinical research on Alzheimer's disease.

Abstract
A novel potential-resolved molecularly imprinted electrochemical luminescence (ECL) immunosensor has been developed for the first time for the dual sensitive detection of markers of acute myocardial infarction (AMI): cardiac troponin I (cTnI) and myoglobin (Mb). In this work, cost-effective and robust molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) as biomimetic antibody was used to construct the immunosensors through electropolymerization and elution to form polydopamine (PDA)-MIP modified electrode. In the presence of AMI biomarkers, two ECL probes including Ru(bpy)32+@ MOCs and MoS2 QDs functionalized by cTnI antibody and Mb aptamer could be specifically captured respectively. And two potential distinct ECL signals will be generated in one potential scan. The intensity of ECL reflects the concentrations of cTnI and Mb. The two ECL probes were characterized with field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, FT-IR spectrum and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The prepared sensor exhibited a wide linear range (0.05-104 ng/mL) and a low detection limit (0.0184 ng/mL for cTnI and 0.0492 ng/mL for Mb). Additionally, the MIP-ECL sensor displayed excellent anti-interference, sensitivity and stability to detect cTnI and Mb. Therefore, it will be conducive to accelerate more precise and credible early diagnosis for AMI.

Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death and morbidity in the world and are a major contributor to healthcare costs. Although enormous progress has been made in diagnosing CVD, there is an urgent need for more efficient early detection and the development of novel diagnostic tools. Currently, CVD diagnosis relies primarily on clinical symptoms based on molecular imaging (MOI) or biomarkers associated with CVDs. However, sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the assay are still challenging for early-stage CVDs. Nanomaterial platform has been identified as a promising candidate for improving the practical usage of diagnostic tools because of their unique physicochemical properties. In this review article, we introduced cardiac biomarkers and imaging techniques that are currently used for CVD diagnosis. We presented the applications of various nanotechnologies on diagnosis within cardiac immunoassays (CIAs) and molecular imaging. We also summarized and compared different cardiac immunoassays based on their sensitivities and working ranges of biomarkers.

Abstract
The alpha synuclein (α-syn) oligomer is one of the biomarkers used for the early diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. In this paper, two electrochemiluminescent (ECL) biosensors with an aptamer as the recognition element for α-syn oligomer detection were prepared. A functionalized indium tin oxide (ITO) glass with metal-organic framework (MOF) materials provides an adequate sensing platform. Here the gold nanoparticles/metal organic frameworks (MOFs) composite (AuNPs@MOFs) using 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane as a binding agent, or to connect the MOFs onto the ITO directly via glutaraldehyde, both give a strong ECL emission for luminol, even under weak alkaline conditions. Thereafter, the thiolated or carboxylated aptamer was coalesced onto the MOF material functionalized electrode using an Au-S bond or amide bond via the classic 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide/N-hydroxysuccinimide (EDC-NHS) coupling, respectively. Thus, the ECL emission of the sensors significantly reduced after the specific binding of the α-syn oligomer to the aptamer. The good linear relationship of the ECL sensing signals upon the logarithm of the α-syn oligomer concentration were established, from 2.43 fM to 0.486 pM or 1.39 fM to 0.243 pM, and the limit of detection reached as low as 0.42 or 0.38 fM, for these two sensors. Both of the obtained sensors have the advantages of a high sensitivity, selectivity, and reproducibility and are capable of detecting the target in human serum.
