Abstract
A ratiometric luminescent probe was fabricated using adenosine monophosphate (AMP) as a bridging ligand and 3-carboxyphenylboronic acid (3-CPBA) as the sensitizer and functional ligand that allowed the probe to recognize hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The probe was labeled AMP-Tb/3-CPBA. Adding H2O2 caused the nonluminescent 3-CPBA to be converted into 3-hydroxybenzoic acid, which strongly luminesces at 401 nm. This meant that adding H2O2 decreased the AMP-Tb/3-CPBA luminescence intensity at 544 nm and caused luminescence at 401 nm. The 401 and 544 nm luminescence intensity ratio (I401/I544) was strongly associated with the H2O2 concentration between 0.1 and 60.0 μM, and the detection limit was 0.23 μM. Dual emission reverse-change ratio luminescence sensing using the probe allowed environmental effects to be excluded and the assay to be very selective. We believe that the results pave the way for the development of new functionalized lanthanide coordination polymers for use in luminescence assays.

Abstract
A factor closely associated with renal disease status in clinical diagnosis is abnormal human serum albumin (HSA) concentration levels in human body fluids urine, serum, etc. The surface stress biosensor was developed as a new type of biosensor to detect protein molecule concentration and has a wide range of clinical applications. However, further sensitivity improvement is required to achieve higher detection performance. Herein, MXene/PDMS/Fe3O4/PDMS of the multilayer heterogeneous membrane biosensor (MHBios) based on the coupling of the magnetic field, electric field, and surface stress field was successfully developed to achieve high sensitivity HSA detection through magnetic sensitization. The modified antibody specifically binds to HSA at the AuNP layer, allowing the biosensor to convert the surface stress caused by PDMS film deformation into an electrical signal. When the biosensor was exposed to a uniform magnetic field, the conductive path of the conductive layer was reshaped further as the magnetic force amplified the deformation of the PDMS film, enhancing the conversion of biological signals to electrical signals. The results exhibited that the detection limit (LOD) of the MHBios was 78 ng/mL when HSA concentration was 0-50 μg/mL, which was markedly lower than the minimum diagnostic limit of microalbuminuria. Furthermore, the MHBios detected HSA in actual samples, confirming the potential for early disease screening.

Abstract
Two-dimensional (2D) porous carbon-based composite nanosheets loaded with metal oxide nanoclusters are expected to be promising electrocatalysts for high-performance electrochemical sensors. However, for this complicated composite material, strict reaction conditions and complex synthesis steps limit its general application in electrochemical detection. Here we present a facile method to fabricate 2D mesoporous nitrogen-rich carbon nanosheets loaded with CeO2 nanoclusters (2D-mNC@CeO2), for fabricating superoxide anions (O2•-) electrochemical sensor. The method is based on block copolymers self-assembly and the affinity of polydopamine to metal ions to obtain organic-inorganic hybrid, which can be directly converted into 2D-mNC@CeO2 through carbonization strategy without structural deterioration. Characterizations demonstrate that the 2D-mNC@CeO2 owned the 2D N-doped carbon structure with an interlinked hierarchical mesoporous and the uniformly dispersed CeO2 nanoclusters on the surface. Benefitted from the unique structure, the 2D-mNC@CeO2 shortens electron transfer distance, enhances mass transfer efficiency, exposes numerous active sites, and obtain a high Ce3+/Ce4+ ratio for improving electrocatalytic performance. The 2D-mNC@CeO2/SPCEs sensors for O2•- detection has a detection limit of 0.179 μM (S/N = 3) and sensitivity of 401.4 μA cm-2 mM-1. The sensors can be applied to capture electrochemical signals of O2•- released from HepG2 cells, demonstrating the application potential of the sensors to monitor O2•- in biological fields.

Abstract
A Fe3O4/mesoporous graphitized carbon (Fe3O4/m-GC) composite was prepared through a facile calcination method with iron-based metal-organic frameworks (Fe-MOFs) as a sacrificial template. After carbonization, the Fe3O4 nanoparticles were uniformly dispersed in the mesoporous carbon support, resulting in spatial structural stability. The mesoporous carbon support obtained was highly graphitized and exhibited eminent electrical conductivity, which accelerated the electron transfer between the Fe3O4 nanoparticles by Fe(II)/Fe(III) redox cycles and m-GC by C = Csp2/C-Csp3 redox cycles, leading to the excellent peroxidase-mimetic activity of Fe3O4/m-GC. Km values for tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) and H2O2 were 26.8 and 15.8 times lower than that of natural horseradish peroxidase, respectively. Taking advantage of the peroxidase-mimetic activity of Fe3O4/m-GC, a colorimetric assay was fabricated for detecting glucose in the range 0.5 ~ 200 μM, with a limit of detection of 0.24 μM. Abstract
Highly sensitive detection of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is of great significance because of its high toxicity and carcinogenesis. We propose a magnetic relaxation sensing method based on gold nanoparticles (Au NPs)-assisted triple self-assembly cascade signal amplification for highly sensitive detection of AFB1. Both AFB1 antibody and initiator DNA (iDNA) are labeled on Au NPs to form Ab-Au-iDNA probe. iDNA is enriched by Au NPs to achieve first signal amplification. Different amounts of Ab-Au-iDNA were bound with AFB1 antigen by indirect competitive immunoassay, and then hybridization chain reaction event was initiated by iDNA to produce long hybridization chain reaction products to enrich more horseradish peroxidase-streptavidin for the second signal amplification. Dopamine could be rapidly converted to polydopamine by HRP catalysis, which is used as the third signal amplification. The Fe3+ solution, providing paramagnetic ions with a strong magnetic signal, could be adsorbed by the polydopamine due to the formation of coordination bonds of phenolic hydroxyl groups with Fe3+. This effective interaction between polydopamine and Fe3+ significantly changes the transverse relaxation time signal of Fe3+ supernatant solution, which can be used as a magnetic probe for highly sensitive detection of AFB1. The sensor exhibited high specificity and sensitivity with a detection limit of 0.453 pg/mL owing to the Au NP-assisted triple self-assembly cascade signal amplification strategy. It has been successfully employed for AFB1 detection in animal feed samples with consistent results of enzyme linked immune sorbent assay and high-performance liquid chromatography.

Abstract
Two different electrochemical sensors (Hemin-G4/Au/GCE and Hemin-G4/Au/ITO) were developed and applied to explore the electrocatalytic capacity of H2O2 reduction. Due to the excellent catalytic activity of Hemin-G4 and high conductivity of gold nanoparticles, both electrodes show excellent electrochemical performances towards H2O2 with a low LOD (0.67 μM for Hemin-G4/Au/GCE and 0.65 μM for Hemin-G4/Au/ITO), rapid response (<4 s), and high selectivity and sensitivity (314.33 μA mM-1 cm-2 for Hemin-G4/Au/GCE and 322.22 μA mM-1 cm-2 for Hemin-G4/Au/ITO). The two electrodes allow sensitive capture of H2O2 produced by A549 cells. Compared with the conventional method of detection in cell suspensions, an ITO electrode with a large specific surface area and good biocompatibility can provide a promising platform for cell adhesion, so as to realize real-time and in situ detection of extracellular H2O2. The experimental results show that A549 cells can adhere to the surface of the Hemin-G4/Au/ITO electrode and grow well. This is benefitted from the three-dimensional structure of the Hemin-G4/Au hydrogel, which provides a suitable microenvironment for cell adhesion and growth. Furthermore, the in situ detection shows a faster response time than that of in-solution detection. This is because the H2O2 generated by the cells can be directly captured by the ITO electrode, which avoids diffusion from the solution to the electrode. These results indicate that the self-supporting hydrogel modified ITO electrode has great application prospects in basic biomedical research and continuous dynamic surveillance of diseases.

Abstract
The influence of the grinding process on the magnetic properties of as prepared and functionalized multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) is presented. We have observed that 3 h mechanical grinding at 400 rpm in contrast to functionalization does not remove the iron contamination from MWCNTs. However, it changes the Fe chemical states. The magnetic properties of iron nanoparticles (Fe-NPs) embedded in the carbon matrix of MWCNTs have been analyzed in detail. We have proven that single-domain non-interacting Fe(C,O)-NPs enriched in the Fe3C phase (~10 nm) enclosed inside these nanotubes are responsible for their magnetic properties. Mechanical grinding revealed a unique impact of -COOH groups (compared to -COONH4 groups) on the magnetism of functionalized MWCNTs. In MWCNT-COOH ground in a steel mill, the contribution of the Fe2O3 and α-Fe phases increased while the content of the magnetically harder Fe3C phase decreased. This resulted in a 2-fold coercivity (Hc) decrease and saturation magnetization (MS) increase. A 2-fold remanence (Mr) decrease in MWCNT-COOH ground in an agate mill is related to the modified Fe(C,O)-NP magnetization dynamics. Comparison of the magnetostatic exchange and effective anisotropy length estimated for Fe(C,O)-NPs allows concluding that the anisotropy energy barrier is higher than the magnetostatic energy barrier. The enhanced contribution of surface anisotropy to the effective anisotropy constant and the unique effect of the -COOH groups on the magnetic properties of MWCNTs are discussed. The procedure for grinding carboxylated MWCNTs with embedded iron nanoparticles using a steel mill has a potential application for producing Fe-C nanocomposites with desired magnetic properties.

Fabrication of Cu-hemin metal-organic-frameworks nanoflower supported on three-dimensional reduced graphene oxide for the amperometric detection of H 2O 2. Mikrochim Acta 2021; 188:160. Abstract
A novel electrochemical sensor based on Cu-hemin metal-organic-frameworks nanoflower/three-dimensional reduced graphene oxide (Cu-hemin MOFs/3D-RGO) was constructed to detect H2O2 released from living cells. The nanocomposite was synthesized via a facile co-precipitation method using hemin as the ligand, then decorated with 3D-RGO. The prepared Cu-hemin MOFs showed a 3D hollow spherical flower-like structure with a large specific surface area and mesoporous properties, which could load more biomolecules and greatly enhance the stability by protecting the activity of hemin. In addition, the introduction of 3D-RGO effectively enhanced the conductivity of Cu-hemin MOFs. Thus, the proposed sensor (Cu-hemin MOFs/3D-RGO/GCE) showed excellent electrochemical performances towards H2O2 with a wide linear range (10-24,400 μM), high sensitivity (207.34 μA mM-1 cm-2), low LOD (0.14 μM), and rapid response time (less than 3 s). Most importantly, we prepared a Cu-hemin MOFs/3D-RGO/ITO electrode with cells growing on it. Compared with detecting H2O2 in cell suspension by GCE-based electrode, adhesion of cells on ITO could shorten the diffusion distance of H2O2 from solution to the surface of the electrode and achieve in situ and a real-time monitor of H2O2 released by living cells. This self-supported sensing electrode showed great potential applications in monitoring the pathological and physiological dynamics of cancer cells.
