Abstract
Isophorone is a cyclic ketone that has gained significant attention in the field of organic chemistry due to its versatile reactivity and structural attributes. Derivatives of isophorone offer a broad spectrum of applications ranging from pharmaceuticals to polymer chemistry. With the aim of developing novel hybrid structures based on benzylidene by combining with isophorone scaffold, we report 3 derivatives of the benzylidene-isophorone hybrids and its potent anticancer activity. In order to optimize the anticancer activity of hybrids di-substitution of -Cl group in C2 and C6 position of phenyl ring (compound1), -OCH3 group in C2 and C5 position of phenyl ring (compound2), and -OCH3 group in C2 and C3 position of phenyl ring (compound3) of benzylidene (PhCH=) moiety were made. The structure of Compounds1,2 and 3 were elucidated using spectral and XRD methods. Compounds1,2 and 3 exhibit space group P c a 21, P-1, and P 1 21/n 1 respectively. Compounds1,2 and 3 were tested for the potent anticancer activity on MDA MB-231 cell line. All the three compounds exhibit good anticancer activity on the breast cancer cells. The parent hybrid with ortho, ortho directing -Cl (1) exhibits strong antiproliferation effect (IC50 = 0.028 µM) on MDA-MB 231 cell line. However, hybrid structures with ortho, meta directing -OCH3 (2) group showed moderate effect (IC50 = 0.061 µM) and hybrid with ortho, meta directing -OCH3 (3) substitution showed the least potent anticancer activity (IC50 = 0.074 µM). The benzylidene-isophorone hybrids exhibit anticancer effects in the following order: 1 > 2 > 3.

Abstract
Abstract
Three different reactions were explored leading to the synthesis of various benzofurans. All reactions took place under AcOH catalysis in a one-pot manner. As a result, benzoquinone derivatives underwent heteroannulation with either itself or cyclohexanones to produce furanylidene-benzofuran or benzofuran structures, respectively.

Abstract
AbstractA one-pot cyclocondensation of 1,3-dioxane-5-one (1) with malononitrile and aromatic aldehydes in aqueous sodium hydroxide under ultrasonic irradiation furnishes a series of pyrano[3,2-d][1,3]dioxin derivatives 3. Reactions are completed after a few minutes and the precipitated products are purified by simple crystallization from ethanol. The reaction with ethyl cyanoacetate instead of malononitrile gives the respective analogous products in high yields.

Abstract
A series of new polysubstituted derivatives of 2-tetralones possessing two ester groups were synthesized via a tandem aldol condensation-Diels–Alder-aromatization sequence of reactions. All the three steps took place in one pot and in the presence of aminofunctionalized silica coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles as the catalyst. In situ formed dienes reacted with diethyl acetylenedicarboxylate at room temperature and the process was followed by spontaneous aromatization of the cycloadducts to produce high yields of the final tetralone products. Further studies suggest that the process goes through an initial aldol condensation-cycloaddition sequence followed by oxidation and rearrangement steps. After completion of the reactions, the catalyst could be recycled and reused efficiently in subsequent reactions.

Abstract
A sequence of two Diels–Alder reactions is observed for the reaction of bis-diene ( E)-3-[2-(furan-2-yl)vinyl]-5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-one with two equivalents of N-phenylmaleimide. This study shows that the electron-deficient furanyl site, which is primarily “inactive” towards a [4 + 2] reaction, easily undergoes cycloaddition with the second equivalent of N-phenylmaleimide to produce the final bis-adduct. This is because the first Diels–Alder reaction between N-phenylmaleimide and the more reactive cyclohex-2-en-1-one site of the diene converts the 2-furanyl ring to a more electron-rich component, since the electron-withdrawing double bond attached to the furan ring changes to an electron-releasing alkyl group after the first cycloaddition. Consequently, the resulting furanyl diene is then able to undergo the second cycloaddition.
