Abstract
Synthesis and catalytic application of polymeric-based nanocomposites are important subjects among researchers due to their high lipophilicity as well as high chemical and mechanical stability. In the present work, a novel nanocomposite material involving ionic liquid and high-density polyethylene supported tungstate (PE/IL-WO4 =) is synthesized, characterized and its catalytic application is investigated. The coacervation method was used to incorporate 1-methyl-3-octylimidazolium bromide ([MOIm] [Br]) ionic liquid in high-density polyethylene, resulting in a PE/IL composite. Subsequently, tungstate was anchored on PE/IL to give PE/IL-WO4 = catalyst. The PXRD, FT-IR, EDX, TGA, and SEM analyses were used to characterize the PE/IL-WO4 = composite. This material demonstrated high catalytic efficiency in the synthesis of bioactive tetrahydrobenzo[a]xanthen-11-ones under green conditions. The recoverability and leching tests were performed to investigate the stability and durability of the designed PE/IL-WO4 = catalyst under applied conditions.

Abstract
Using two catalysts on a single support can improve reaction efficiency, higher yields, improved selectivity, and simplified reaction conditions, making it a valuable approach for industrial transformation. Herein, we describe the development of a novel and effective heterogeneous catalyst, WCl6/CuCl2, supported on graphitic carbon nitride (W/Cu@g-C3N4), which was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. The structure and morphology properties of the W/Cu@g-C3N4 were characterized using various spectroscopic techniques, including FTIR, XRD, TEM, TGA, EDX, and SEM. The W/Cu@g-C3N4 support material enabled the rapid and efficient synthesis of benzoxanthenones and xanthenes derivatives in high yields under mild reaction conditions and short reaction times. The W/Cu@g-C3N4 catalyst was also found to be easily recyclable, and its catalytic performance did not significantly decrease after five times use. The findings suggest that W/Cu@g-C3N4 is a promising chemical synthesis catalyst with significant implications for sustainable and cost-effective organic synthesis.

Abstract
Microwave-accelerated methods have emerged as powerful tools in organic synthesis to
enhance the reaction rates and provide products with high yields, improved selectivity, lower energy
consumption, mild reaction conditions and negligible waste generation. Xanthenes are an important
class of biologically important oxygen-containing heterocyclic molecules that possess a multitude of
pharmaceutical properties. By considering the medicinal and material significance of these molecules,
a large number of synthetic methodologies and catalytic systems have been reported for the synthesis
of a wide range of xanthenes in the past. However, the focus of the present review is to summarize
various microwave-assisted protocols for the synthesis of diversely substituted xanthene analogues.

Abstract
Xanthones represent a structurally diverse group of compounds with a broad range of biological and pharmacological activities, depending on the nature and position of various substituents in the dibenzo-γ-pyrone scaffold. Among the large number of natural and synthetic xanthone derivatives, carboxyxanthones are very interesting bioactive compounds as well as important chemical substrates for molecular modifications to obtain new derivatives. A remarkable example is 5,6-dimethylxanthone-4-acetic acid (DMXAA), a simple carboxyxanthone derivative, originally developed as an anti-tumor agent and the first of its class to enter phase III clinical trials. From DMXAA new bioactive analogues and derivatives were also described. In this review, a literature survey covering the report on carboxyxanthone derivatives is presented, emphasizing their biological activities as well as their application as suitable building blocks to obtain new bioactive derivatives. The data assembled in this review intends to highlight the therapeutic potential of carboxyxanthone derivatives and guide the design for new bioactive xanthone derivatives.

Three-component cyclocondensation of β-naphthol, aldehydes, and 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione (dimedone) was catalyzed efficiently by ruthenium chloride hydrate under mild reaction conditions to afford 12-aryl or alkyl-8,9,10,12-tetrahydrobenzo[a]xanthen-11-one derivatives in good to excellent yields.
