Abstract
Trifluoperazine (TFLP) is an important psychiatric medication that balances the dopamine (DA) level in the brain for patients suffering from neurological disorder diseases. An efficient electrochemical sensor is developed for detecting TFLP in real human serum samples. The sensor is fabricated by casting the GC surface with two consecutive thin layers, namely a graphene oxide-carbon nanotubes mixture (GRO-CNT), and iron-nickel nanoparticles (Fe-Ni). The diffusion-controlled oxidation process of TFLP at the composite surface includes one electron transfer process. Under optimized conditions, the sensor in human serum shows excellent catalytic effect for simultaneous determination of TFLP and dopamine (DA) in the same concentration range (0.5 μM to 18 μM) with low detection limits of 0.13 μM and 0.32 μM respectively. The combined effect of a large conductive surface area and the excellent catalytic activity of the nanocomposite improves the sensor's performance. The sensor exhibits a stable current response over four weeks, excellent reproducibility, and insignificant interference from common species present in human serum samples. The reliability test of using the sensor in serum samples shows good recovery of TFLP.

research subjects in scientific fields ranging from environmental studies to drug analysis. Carbon nanomaterials such as
carbon nanotubes, graphene, carbon nanofibers etc. and non-carbon nanomaterials such as quantum dots, metal
nanoparticles, nanorods etc. are widely used in electrochemical drug analysis for sensor development. Main aim of drug
analysis with sensors is developing fast, easy to use and sensitive methods. Electroanalytical techniques such as
voltammetry, potentiometry, amperometry etc. which measure electrical parameters such as current or potential in an
electrochemical cell are considered economical, highly sensitive and versatile techniques.
Methods:
Most recent researches and studies about electrochemical analysis of drugs with carbon-based nanomaterials were
analyzed. Books and review articles about this topic were reviewed.
Results:
The most significant carbon-based nanomaterials and electroanalytical techniques were explained in detail. In
addition to this; recent applications of electrochemical techniques with carbon nanomaterials in drug analysis was expressed
comprehensively. Recent researches about electrochemical applications of carbon-based nanomaterials in drug sensing were
given in a table.
Conclusion:
Nanotechnology provides opportunities to create functional materials, devices and systems using
nanomaterials with advantageous features such as high surface area, improved electrode kinetics and higher catalytic
activity. Electrochemistry is widely used in drug analysis for pharmaceutical and medical purposes. Carbon nanomaterials
based electrochemical sensors are one of the most preferred methods for drug analysis with high sensitivity, low cost and
rapid detection.

Abstract
Background::
new and selective electrochemical sensor was developed for the determination
of levocetirizine dihydrochloride, which is an antihistaminic drug.
Method::
The investigation was performed by using cyclic, differential pulse and square wave voltammetric
methods on the β-cyclodextrin modified glassy carbon electrode. It is thereby planned to obtain
information about levocetirizine determination and its mechanism.
Result::
The efficiency of experimental parameters including pH, scan rate, and accumulation potential
and time on the anodic response of levocetirizine dihydrochloride was studied. By employing the developed
method and under optimized conditions, the current showed linear dependence with a concentration
in the range between 2 × 10-8 M and 6 × 10-6 M in pH 2.0 Britton Robinson (BR) buffer.
Conclusion::
The achieved limits of detection and quantification were found as 3.73 × 10-10 M and
1.24 × 10-9 M, respectively. In addition, the possibility of applying the developed sensor for real sample
analysis was investigated, so β-cyclodextrin modified glassy carbon electrode was used to determine
levocetirizine dihydrochloride in Xyzal® tablet dosage form. Finally, this sensor was successfully applied
to the real sample as a selective, simple, reproducible, repeatable electrochemical sensor.

Abstract
Introduction:Schizophrenia is seizures accompanied by severe psychotic symptoms, and a steady state of continuation in the form of periods of stagnation. Antipsychotics are now the basis of treatment for schizophrenia and there is no other molecule that is antipsychotic priority in treatment. Antipsychotics can be classified into two groups; dopamine receptor antagonists such as promazine, fluphenazine etc. and serotonin-dopamine antagonists including risperidone, olanzapine, ziprasidone, aripiprazole etc.Materials and Methods:Electrochemical methods have been used for the determination of antipsychotic agent just as used in the determination of many drug agents. Nearly all of the antipsychotics are electroactive and can be analyzed by electrochemical methods. Electroanalytical methods offer generally high sensitivity, are compatible with modern techniques, have low cost, low requirements, and compact design. Among the most commonly used types, there are cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, square wave voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry.Conclusion:The aim of this review is to evaluate the main line and the advantages and uses of electroanalytical methods that employed for the determination of antipsychotic medication agents used in schizophrenia. Moreover, applications of the methods to pharmaceutical analysis of Antipsychotics upto- date is also summarized in a table.
