Abstract
A Gram-stain-negative, non-pigmented, non-spore-forming, motile, strictly aerobic bacterial strain, designated CAU 1492T, was isolated from a coastal sand dune and its taxonomic position was examined using a polyphasic approach. Cells of strain CAU 1492T grew optimally at 30 °C, pH 7.0 and in 3 % (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence of CAU 1492T showed that it formed a distinct lineage within the family Rhodobacteraceae as a separate deep branch, with 96.8 % or lower sequence similarity values to representatives of the genera Marivita, Donghicola, Sulfitobacter, Marinovum, Phaeobacter, Primorskyibacter, Roseovarius and Aestuariihabitans. Strain CAU 1492T was closely related to Marivita geojedonensis DPG-138T (96.8 %), Donghicola eburneus SW-277T (96.7 %), Sulfitobacter porphyrae SCM-1T (96.7 %), Marinovum algicola FF3T (96.6 %) and Aestuariihabitans beolgyonensis BB-MW15T (96.4 %) based on 16S rRNA gene sequences. The major cellular fatty acids of strain CAU 1492T were cyclo-C19 : 0 ω8c and summed feature 8 (C18 : 1 ω7c/C18 : 1 ω6c). The polar lipid pattern was composed of phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, an unidentified phospholipid and an unidentified aminolipid. The strain contained Q-10 as the sole respiratory quinone. The draft genome of strain CAU 1492T was 4.63 Mb with a DNA G+C content of 63.1 mol%. The genome includes 4292 protein-coding genes and a five rRNA operons. On the basis of the phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and genomic data, strain CAU 1492T represents a novel genus in the family Rhodobacteraceae for which the name Arenibacterium halophilum gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of Arenibacterium halophilum is CAU 1492T (=KCTC 62998T=NBRC 113696T).

Pseudopontivivens aestuariicola gen. nov., sp. nov., a Novel Bacterium of the Class Alphaproteobacteria Isolated from a Tidal Flat. Curr Microbiol 2018; 75:1516-1522. Abstract
A Gram-stain-negative, non-motile and coccoid, ovoid or rod-shaped bacterial strain, OITF-57T, which was isolated from a tidal flat sediment in South Korea, was characterized taxonomically. Strain OITF-57T grew optimally at 25 °C, at pH 7.0-8.0 and in the presence of 2.0% (w/v) NaCl. Strain OITF-57T exhibited the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity value (94.2%) to the type strain of Pontivivens insulae forming a cluster in the neighbour-joining phylogenetic tree. In the maximum-likelihood and maximum-parsimony phylogenetic trees based on 16S rRNA gene sequences and the phylogenetic tress based on gyrB sequences, strain OITF-57T formed evolutionary lineages independent of those of other taxa. Strain OITF-57T contained Q-10 as the predominant ubiquinone and C18:1 ω7c as the major fatty acid. The major polar lipids of strain OITF-57T were phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylglycerol. The DNA G + C content of strain OITF-57T was 66.0 mol%. The chemotaxonomic data and other differential phenotypic properties made it possible to distinguish strain OITF-57T from the genus Pontivivens and other phylogenetically related genera. On the basis of the data presented, strain OITF-57T constitutes a new genus and species within the class Alphaproteobacteria, for which the name Pseudopontivivens aestuariicola gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is OITF-57T (= KACC 19570T = CGMCC 1.13481T).

Abstract
A gram-stain-negative, aerobic, ovoid or short rod-shaped, and non-motile strain, designed G7T was isolated from a tidal flat sample collected from the coast of East Sea in Zhoushan, China. Strain G7T grew at 4-40 °C and pH 6.0-9.0 (optimum, 28 °C and pH 7.5) and with 0-7% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 1%). The predominant respiratory quinone was Q-10 and the major fatty acids (>10%) identified were C18:1 ω7c, C16:0 and summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c and/or C16:1 ω6c). The polar lipids of strain G7T consisted of phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, and four unidentified lipids. The genomic DNA G+C content was 56.7 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain G7T formed a distinct lineage belonging to the Roseobacter clade of the family Rhodobacteraceae. On the basis of morphological, physiological, and chemotaxonomic characteristics, together with the results of phylogenetic analysis, strain G7T is described as a novel species in a new genus, for which the name Aestuarium zhoushanense gen. nov., sp. nov. (type strain G7T = MCCC 1K03229T = KCTC 52584T) is proposed.

The major polar lipids of strain BS-W9T were phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, one unidentified lipid and one unidentified aminolipid. The fatty acid and polar lipid profiles of strain BS-W9T were distinguished from those of the type strains of
H. namhaensis
and other phylogenetically related genera. The DNA G+C content of strain BS-W9T was 53.2 mol% and its mean DNA–DNA relatedness value with
H. namhaensis

Abstract
A Gram-stain-negative, flagellated, aerobic and rod-shaped or ovoid bacterial strain, designated HJTF-7(T), was isolated from a tidal flat on the South Sea of South Korea, and its taxonomic position was investigated using a polyphasic approach. Strain HJTF-7(T) grew optimally at 25 °C, at pH 7.0-8.0 and in the presence of 2.0% (w/v) NaCl. Neighbour-joining, maximum-likelihood and maximum-parsimony phylogenetic trees, based on 16S rRNA gene sequences, showed that strain HJTF-7(T) joined the cluster comprising the type strains of species of the genera Spongiibacter and Zhongshania. Strain HJTF-7(T) exhibited 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities of 90.4-92.5% to the type strains of species of the genera Spongiibacter and Zhongshania and of less than 91.5% to the type strains of other recognized species. Strain HJTF-7(T) contained Q-8 as the predominant ubiquinone. The major fatty acids were iso-C17:1ω9c, iso-C15:0, iso-C17:0, iso-C11:0 3-OH and C17:1ω8c and the major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylglycerol. The fatty acid and polar lipid profiles of strain HJTF-7(T) were distinct from those of members of the genera Spongiibacter and Zhongshania. The DNA G+C content of strain HJTF-7(T) was 55.9 mol%. The phylogenetic data and differential chemotaxonomic and other phenotypic properties revealed that strain HJTF-7(T) represents a novel genus and species within the class Gammaproteobacteria, for which the name Litorivivens lipolytica gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of Litorivivens lipolytica is HJTF-7(T) ( =KCTC 42157(T) =CECT 8654(T)).

Abstract
Two Gram-negative, aerobic and rod-shaped or ovoid bacterial strains with different colony colours (greyish yellow and moderate orange), designated J-MR2-YT and J-MR2-O, were isolated from a tidal flat in the South Sea of South Korea. The two novel strains grew optimally at 35–37 °C. Strains J-MR2-YT and J-MR2-O showed no difference in their 16S rRNA gene sequences, and the mean DNA–DNA relatedness between them was 94 %. Phylogenetic trees based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strains J-MR2-YT and J-MR2-O clustered consistently with the type strains of
Loktanella soesokkakensis
,
L. hongkongensis
and
L. cinnabarina
, with which it exhibited 97.83–99.06 % sequence similarity. Sequence similarities to the type strains of the other recognized species of the genus
Loktanella
were 94.01–96.26 %. Both strains contained Q-10 as the predominant ubiquinone, C18 : 1ω7c as the major fatty acid and phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol, one unidentified glycolipid and one unidentified aminolipid as the major polar lipids. The DNA G+C contents of strains J-MR2-YT and J-MR2-O were 68.1 and 68.4 mol%, respectively, and DNA–DNA relatedness values with the type strains of
L. soesokkakensis
,
L. hongkongensis
and
L. cinnabarina
were 19–37 %. Differential phenotypic properties, together with their phylogenetic and genetic distinctiveness, revealed that the two novel strains are separated from other species of the genus
Loktanella
. On the basis of the data presented, strains J-MR2-YT and J-MR2-O are proposed to represent a novel species of the genus
Loktanella

Abstract
A Gram-stain-negative, non-motile, aerobic, curved-to-spiral-rod-shaped bacterium, designated AH-MY2T, was isolated from a tidal flat on Aphae island in the sea to the south-west of South Korea, and its taxonomic position was investigated using a polyphasic taxonomic approach. Strain AH-MY2T grew optimally at 30 °C, at pH 7.0–8.0 and in the presence of 2.0 % (w/v) NaCl. Neighbour-joining, maximum-likelihood and maximum-parsimony phylogenetic trees based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain AH-MY2T clustered with the type strain of
Terasakiella pusilla
and that this cluster joined the clade comprising the type strains of species of the genus
Thalassospira
. Strain AH-MY2T exhibited 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity values of 90.6 % to the type strain of
Terasakiella pusilla
and of less than 91.0 % to the type strains of other species with validly published names. Strain AH-MY2T contained Q-10 as the predominant ubiquinone and C18 : 1ω7c as the major fatty acid. The major polar lipids detected in strain AH-MY2T were phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, two unidentified aminolipids and one unidentified glycolipid. The DNA G+C content of strain AH-MY2T was 56.0 mol%. The phylogenetic data and differential chemotaxonomic and other phenotypic properties revealed that strain AH-MY2T represented a novel genus and species within the family

of the class
Alphaproteobacteria
, for which the name Aestuariispira insulae gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of Aestuariispira insulae is AH-MY2T ( = KCTC 32577T = CECT 8488T).

Abstract
The purpose of this announcement is to effect the valid publication of the following effectively published new names and new combinations under the procedure described in the Bacteriological Code (1990 Revision). Authors and other individuals wishing to have new names and/or combinations included in future lists should send three copies of the pertinent reprint or photocopies thereof, or an electronic copy of the published paper to the IJSEM Editorial Office for confirmation that all of the other requirements for valid publication have been met. It is also a requirement of IJSEM and the ICSP that authors of new species, new subspecies and new combinations provide evidence that types are deposited in two recognized culture collections in two different countries. It should be noted that the date of valid publication of these new names and combinations is the date of publication of this list, not the date of the original publication of the names and combinations. The authors of the new names and combinations are as given below. Inclusion of a name on these lists validates the publication of the name and thereby makes it available in the nomenclature of prokaryotes. The inclusion of a name on this list is not to be construed as taxonomic acceptance of the taxon to which the name is applied. Indeed, some of these names may, in time, be shown to be synonyms, or the organisms may be transferred to another genus, thus necessitating the creation of a new combination.
