Abstract
Titanium silicate zeolite (TS-1) is widely used in the research on selective oxidations of organic substrates by H2O2. Compared with the chlorohydrin process and the hydroperoxidation process, the TS-1 catalyzed hydroperoxide epoxidation of propylene oxide (HPPO) has advantages in terms of by-products and environmental friendliness. This article reviews the latest progress in propylene epoxidation catalyzed by TS-1, including the HPPO process and gas phase epoxidation. The preparation and modification of TS-1 for green and sustainable production are summarized, including the use of low-cost feedstocks, the development of synthetic routes, strategies to enhance mass transfer in TS-1 crystal and the enhancement of catalytic performance after modification. In particular, this article summarizes the catalytic mechanisms and advanced characterization techniques for propylene epoxidation in recent years. Finally, the present situation, development prospect and challenge of propylene epoxidation catalyzed by TS-1 were prospected.

Abstract
Pt-based catalysts have been widely used in propane dehydrogenation due to their superior activation of C-H bonds and weak scission of C-C bonds. However, in the process of repeated calcination to remove deposited coke, the active Pt species tend to sinter, resulting in a significant decline in catalytic activity. In this study, amorphous CeOx islands loaded on dealuminated Beta zeolite were prepared via simple wetness impregnation. Then, partially embedded Pt nanoparticles in CeOx islands were obtained after reduction owing to the affinity of CeOx for Pt. In the propane dehydrogenation reaction, Pt/Ce5-SiBeta with a Ce loading of 4.55 wt % and Pt loading of 0.72 wt % exhibited the highest activity and the lowest inactivation constant at 550 °C. More importantly, due to the anchoring effect of CeOx on Pt, the catalytic activity of Pt could be recovered after a simple calcination-reduction regeneration process, avoiding the chlorination treatment for the redispersion of Pt species used in industry. In addition, to improve the selectivity of the Pt/Ce5-SiBeta catalyst, a PtSn/Ce5-SiBeta catalyst with excellent activity, selectivity, and recycling stability has been prepared by introducing Sn into Pt/Ce5-SiBeta. The use of amorphous CeOx islands to improve the sintering resistance of Pt opens up new prospects for the design of stable industrial dehydrogenation catalysts.

Abstract
Catalytic Fenton oxidation is an effective way to remove organic pollutants in water, and the performance of the catalyst is a key issue for the competiveness of this method. In this work, various supported bimetallic Pt–Cu catalysts were prepared by different impregnation methods and their performances for catalytic Fenton oxidation of aniline in water were investigated. In the different impregnation methods employed, factors including the reduction method of the metal precursor, type of catalytic support, and loading of metal were investigated. The effect of different reduction methods on actual loadings of the active components on the supported Pt–Cu catalysts showed the order of (i) H2 reduction > (ii) liquid phase methanal reduction. Meanwhile, compared with the monometallic catalysts, the Pt–Cu alloy phase (mainly in the form of PtCu3) was generated and the specific surface area was significantly reduced for the bimetallic catalysts. In the process of Fenton catalytic oxidation of aniline, it was found that most of the prepared catalysts had a certain catalytic activity for H2O2 accompanied with aniline degradation. It was found that Pt0.5Cu1.5/AC (where AC denotes activated carbon) exhibited superb catalytic activity compared with all other prepared catalysts. In particular, aniline was almost completely mineralized in a neutral solution (500 mg L−1 aniline, 0.098 mol L−1 H2O2) after 60 min at 50 °C using Pt–Cu/AC (Pt: 0.5%, Cu: 1.5%). The characterization results showed that the Pt and Cu components were rather evenly distributed on the AC support for this catalyst. More importantly, there was an obvious synergic effect on the supported bimetallic catalyst between the Pt and Cu components for the catalytic oxidation of aniline. An AC supported Pt–Cu catalyst prepared with a new methanal reduction method was found to be quite effective for catalytic Fenton oxidation of aniline in water. The Pt and Cu components showed a synergic effect for the catalytic process.![]()

Abstract
Separation and purification of active components from biomass by inorganic materials during the pretreatment process of hydrothermal conversion are studied in this work. The batch experiment results show that an initial solution pH of 6 favors chelerythrine adsorption, and the optimum adsorbent dosage is 2.0 g. The adsorption mechanism of ZSM-5 for chelerythrine is investigated by adsorption kinetics, isotherm adsorption models, and thermodynamics analysis. The results show that the kinetics data fit the pseudo-second-order model well (R2 = 0.9991), and the intraparticle diffusion model has 3 diffusion stages, preliminarily indicating that chemisorption plays a major role in the adsorption process, and the sorption mechanism includes intraparticle, external, and boundary diffusion. The adsorption isotherms agree well with the Langmuir model, indicating the occurrence of monolayer molecular adsorption during the adsorption process. Meanwhile, the maximum adsorption capacity is 2.327, 2.072, and 1.877 mg/g at different temperatures (288 K, 298 K, and 308 K), respectively. The thermodynamic data demonstrate that the adsorption process is exothermic and spontaneous in nature. These observed results clearly confirm that ZSM-5 has potential superior properties for the enrichment and purification of alkaloids during the pretreatment of biomass.
