On Exploiting Haptic Cues for Self-Supervised Learning of Depth-Based Robot Navigation Affordances

DEEP LEARNING ANALYSIS ON THE RESULTING IMPACTS OF WEEKLY LOAD TRAINING ON STUDENTS’ BIOLOGICAL SYSTEM

ABSTRACT Introduction The recent development of the deep learning algorithm as a new multilayer network machine learning algorithm has reduced the problem of traditional training algorithms easily falling into minimal places, becoming a recent direction in the learning field. Objective Design and validate an artificial intelligence model for deep learning of the resulting impacts of weekly load training on students’ biological system. Methods According to the physiological and biochemical indices of athletes in the training process, this paper analyzes the actual data of athletes’ training load in the annual preparation period. The characteristics of athletes’ training load in the preparation period were discussed. The value, significance, composition factors, arrangement principle and method of calculation, and determination of weekly load density using the deep learning algorithm are discussed. Results The results showed that the daily 24-hour random sampling load was moderate intensity, low and high-intensity training, and enhanced the physical-motor system and neural reactivity. Conclusion The research shows that there can be two activities of “teaching” and “training” in physical education and sports training. The sports biology monitoring research proves to be a growth point of sports training research with great potential for expansion for future research. Autonomous robotic exploration with simultaneous environment and traversability models learning

In this study, we address generalized autonomous mobile robot exploration of unknown environments where a robotic agent learns a traversability model and builds a spatial model of the environment. The agent can benefit from the model learned online in distinguishing what terrains are easy to traverse and which should be avoided. The proposed solution enables the learning of multiple traversability models, each associated with a particular locomotion gait, a walking pattern of a multi-legged walking robot. We propose to address the simultaneous learning of the environment and traversability models by a decoupled approach. Thus, navigation waypoints are generated using the current spatial and traversability models to gain the information necessary to improve the particular model during the robot's motion in the environment. From the set of possible waypoints, the decision on where to navigate next is made based on the solution of the generalized traveling salesman problem that allows taking into account a planning horizon longer than a single myopic decision. The proposed approach has been verified in simulated scenarios and experimental deployments with a real hexapod walking robot with two locomotion gaits, suitable for different terrains. Based on the achieved results, the proposed method exploits the online learned traversability models and further supports the selection of the most appropriate locomotion gait for the particular terrain types.

Perceptual and Semantic Processing in Cognitive Robots

The challenge in human–robot interaction is to build an agent that can act upon human implicit statements, where the agent is instructed to execute tasks without explicit utterance. Understanding what to do under such scenarios requires the agent to have the capability to process object grounding and affordance learning from acquired knowledge. Affordance has been the driving force for agents to construct relationships between objects, their effects, and actions, whereas grounding is effective in the understanding of spatial maps of objects present in the environment. The main contribution of this paper is to propose a methodology for the extension of object affordance and grounding, the Bloom-based cognitive cycle, and the formulation of perceptual semantics for the context-based human–robot interaction. In this study, we implemented YOLOv3 to formulate visual perception and LSTM to identify the level of the cognitive cycle, as cognitive processes synchronized in the cognitive cycle. In addition, we used semantic networks and conceptual graphs as a method to represent knowledge in various dimensions related to the cognitive cycle. The visual perception showed average precision of 0.78, an average recall of 0.87, and an average F1 score of 0.80, indicating an improvement in the generation of semantic networks and conceptual graphs. The similarity index used for the lingual and visual association showed promising results and improves the overall experience of human–robot interaction.
