Target Syntheses of Two New Bivanadyl Capped Keggin Polyoxometalate Derivatives

Effective photocatalytic and bifunctional electrocatalytic materials based on Keggin arsenomolybdates and different transition metal capped assemblies

V, Co, and Cu were introduced into {AsMo₁₂} system to build three Keggin derivatives with different caps, which show excellent photocatalytic activity and bifunctional electrocatalytic behavior.

Reversible capping/uncapping of phosphorous-centered Keggin-type polyoxoniobate clusters

Caps in α-Keggin-type polyoxometalates [PM₂Nb₁₂O₄₀]⁹⁻ (M: NbO or VO) can be removed in basic condition to produce uncapped [PNb₁₂O₄₀]¹⁵⁻. Transmetalation or capping occurs from the reaction of [PNb₁₄O₄₂]⁹⁻ or [PNb₁₂O₄₀]¹⁵⁻ with either Sb₂O₃ or V₂O₅ to form [PSb₂Nb₁₂O₄₀]⁹⁻ or [PV₂Nb₁₂O₄₂]⁹⁻, respectively.

Assembly of hybrids based on polyoxotungstates and Co-tris(imidazolyl) complexes with bifunctional electrocatalytic activities

Three new organic–inorganic hybrid compounds based on Keggin POMs and Co–tib motifs were hydrothermally synthesized in the same POM/Co/tib reaction systems with different pH.
