Abstract
In this work, two novel mixed-ligand CPs that has a compositions of [Co2(µ-Hdppa)2(phen)2(H2O)2] (1) and {[Co(µ-Hdppa)(µ-4,4'-bipy)(H2O)]·H2O}n (2) is achieved through reaction of cobalt salts with the 5-(3,4-Dicarboxylphenyl)picolinic acid (H3dppa) with various N-donor co-ligands (1,10-phenanthroline (phen) for 1 and 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy) for 2). The structures and characteristics of these two complexes were fully examined via IR, TGA, and SXRD. Furthermore, their superior blue fluorescence properties compared to the original ligands were confirmed through fluorescence spectroscopy. These two complexes prepared in this study have enriched the choices for blue fluorescent materials.

Abstract
Cr(VI) and Mn(VII) in industrial wastewater have certain toxicity, and they pose a threat to the environment and human health and safety. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) usually have rich adsorption sites and a large specific surface area. They can effectively adsorb Cr(VI) and Mn(VII) from wastewater. In this paper, a two-dimensional copper-based metal-organic framework, {[Cu·(4,4'-bpy)2·(H2O)]·2(NO3)·6(H2O)·(CH3OH)}n (1), is synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis. The structure of 1 is characterized by Fourier transform infrared (IR) spectroscopy, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, element analysis, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results showed that 1 had a two-dimensional network structure, and the specific surface area of the nanostructure was 67.63 m2/g. The nanostructure of 1 could efficiently adsorb Cr(VI) and Mn(VII) from wastewater. The adsorption properties of Cr(VI) and Mn (VII) of 1 showed that the optimal concentration of both adsorbents was 0.2 g/L. It has good adsorption performance in the pH range 4-8. The adsorption performance is the best when pH is 7, which can reach 145 and 83 mg/g, respectively.

Abstract
This study describes the preparation and evaluation of phenol-furfural resin (PFR) from bagasse and its nanocomposites for electrically conductive adhesive (ECA) application. PFR was prepared with furfural extracted from bagasse using a modified acid digestion method. Three different formulations of PFR nanocomposites with conductive nanoparticles, i.e., PFR-silver, PFR-graphite, and PFR-silver + graphite, were prepared using 20, 40, and 60 w/w% of fillers via the impregnation method. The resultant products were characterized using FT-IR, SEM, EDS, and XRD spectroscopy. Electrical conductivity was measured using a four-probe technique, while band gap was calculated via Tauc plots. The results exhibited a significant rise in electrical conductivity of insulating virgin PFR from 2.6 × 10-4 Scm-1 to 8.2 × 10-1 Scm-1 with a 40 and 20 w/w% blend of Ag and graphite in PFR. This synergism was exhibited because graphite and Ag NPs supply excellent junctions for building networks. Both tend to coalesce due to van der Waals forces and high surface energies. Therefore, conductive pathway numbers can be increased, and the contact area can be effectively enlarged. This ternary composite exhibited the lowest bandgap energy value, i.e., 3.1 eV. Thermogravimetric temperature values T0 and Tdeg were increased up to 120 °C and 484 °C, respectively, showing a significant increase in thermal stability. Therefore, the resultant nanocomposite material has good potential to be employed as an ECA in the electronic industry.

Abstract
Abstract
A new cobalt(II) compound with the formula [Co(5-Br-pyc)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)(Cl)]·2H2O (1·H2O) (5-Br-Hpyc = 5-bromo-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid, 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine) has been hydrothermally synthesized and well characterized. The X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis showed that 1⋅2H2O has crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c (no. 14). The Co(II) center was octahedrally bonded by one bidentate chelate 5-Br-pyc anion and one 2,2′-bipy, one water molecule as well as one chloride anion to form the mononuclear structure of 1⋅2H2O. Complex 1⋅2H2O forms a 3D network through abundant O–H⋅⋅⋅O hydrogen bonds and π⋅⋅⋅π stacking interactions. Notably, the 5-Br-Hpyc ligand was in situ generated by decarboxylation of the 3-bromo-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (3-Br-H2pydc) precursor selectively on 2-position under hydrothermal conditions. The magnetic properties, the Hirshfeld surface structure and the synthetic process for 1⋅2H2O have been carefully described and discussed.

A new copper(II) complex [Cu(3,5,6-tcpa)(2,2′-bipy)Cl] (1) has been obtained through the one-pot hydrothermal reaction of copper chloride dihydrate with triclopyr (systematic name 2-((3,5,6-trichloropyridin-2-yl)oxy)acetic acid, abbreviation 3,5,6-Htcpa) and 2,2′-bipyridine (2,2′-bipy) coligands. 1 has crystallized in triclinic crystal system, P

space group. The central copper(II) ion displayed a distorted square–pyramidal geometry and was connected by one chlorido co-ligand (Clˉ), one 3,5,6-tcpa anionic chelator and one chelating 2,2’-bipy ligand to afford a mononuclear structure. 1 is further extended into a 3D network by the non-covalent interactions of H⋯Cl, H⋯O hydrogen bonds, aromatic π⋯π stacking together with Cl⋯Cl halogen bond interactions. The co-crystallization process, the crystal structure of 1 as well as the Hirshfeld surface analysis for 1 have been analyzed and described. In addition, the flexible conformation of phenoxy methylene group among 1, triclopyr acid and its previously reported co-crystallized compound also have been carefully compared and discussed.

Abstract
The pollution due to dyes from textile sector is one of the major issues faced worldwide. This study was focused on the removal of the reactive dye, Drimaren Turquoise CL-B using Schizophyllum commune, a white rot fungus (WRF) keeping in mind the current environmental conditions. Different parameters like pH, sources of carbon & nitrogen, temperature, concentration of dye and C/N ratio were used to investigate their effect on the process. Maximum dye removal of 95.45% was obtained at pH 4.5, temperature 35°C, inoculum size 3 mL, veratryl alcohol (mediator), glucose (carbon source) and ammonium nitrate (nitrogen source). The enzyme activity was determined by employing enzyme assay. Laccase and Lignin peroxidase (LiP) activity was low while Manganese peroxidase (MnP) activity was highest. Maximum bio-sorption was achieved at pH 1 and 313 K. The pseudo-2nd-order kinetic model & Freundlich isotherm was best suited for the process of removal of dye. From these data, it is concluded that white rot fungus could possibly be the excellent biomaterial for elimination of synthetic dyes from wastewater.

Triclopyr ethyl ester (1) has been co-synthesized through one-pot solvothermal reaction and the crystal structure has been determined by single crystal X-ray structure analysis. The compound C18H16Cl6N2O6 crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system, P21/c space group with unit-cell parameters: a = 4.9615(2) Å, b = 30.9297(14) Å, c = 15.9155(10) Å, β = 91.466(4)° and Z = 4. Each unit cell is composed of two discrete, similar but reversely arranged triclopyr ethyl ester organic molecules. In the 3D packing plot, 1 is further assembled into a network structure via rich Cl⋯Cl halogen bond interactions. In addition, the crystal structure, the flexible conformation of phenoxy methylene group of 1 has been carefully compared and discussed with those of triclopyr acid.

Abstract
A new europium metal-organic framework (Eu-MOF) was prepared by simple hydrothermal method. The product exhibited intense red fluorescence, long fluorescence lifetime (0.454 ms) and excellent fluorescence stability. The fluorescence titration result showed that Fe3+ could completely quench the fluorescence of Eu-MOF, while the fluorescence quenching effect of Fe2+ or bromate was negligible. Considering the strong oxidizing property of bromate, a "turn off" Eu-MOF@Fe2+ sensor toward bromate was designed by generating Fe3+ due to the redox reaction. The results showed that the sensor displayed a wide linear range (0-0.2 mM), high sensitivity (LOD = 3.7 × 10-6 mol/L), good selectivity and resistant to possible interferences in real four sample. Furthermore, the detection mechanism was investigated by PXRD, XPS and UV-Vis methods. More importantly, the Eu-MOF@Fe2+ sensor was further applied to detect bromate in wheat flour with satisfactory recovery (95.30%-104.38%) and accuracy (RSD < 2.85%). These results suggest that Eu-MOF@Fe2+ can be used as a potential sensor to detect bromate in food industry.

Abstract
Elderly osteoporosis hip fracture has drawn the attention of the researcher. The coordination polymer was now widely used in clinic because their multiple structures and biological activities. In this present research, the new coordination polymer was designed and synthesized and their application values on elderly osteoporosis hip were evaluated. The reaction between Cu(II) salt and 4,4'-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)methylene-bis(benzoic acid) (H2tzmb), an aromatase inhibitor letrozole derivative with the aid of the organic linker 4,4-bipyridine (4,4'-bpy) affords a new coordination polymer based on Cu(II) ions as nodes of {[Cu2(tzmb)2(4,4'-bpy) (μ2-H2O)2(DMA) (H2O)2]·10DMA}n (1). The complex 1 gained is totally investigated with the powder X-ray diffraction study, thermogravimetric analyses, the diffraction of single-crystal X-ray, elemental analysis as well as the Fourier transform infrared spectrometer spectra. The osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cell was measured with the western blotting assay through determining the Runx2 expression. The wnt signaling pathway relative expression in mesenchymal stem cell was detected through the determination of real-time RT-PCR. The cytotoxicity of the compound on the mesenchymal stem cell was determined with CCK-8 assay. The result of single-crystal X-ray diffraction reflects that the complex 1 has crystallized in space group R-3c of trigonal system and exhibits a three-dimensional skeleton architecture on the bases of the SBUs {Cu(tzmb)(μ2-H2O)}n. The western blotting assay results revealed that this compound could significantly promote the osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cell. Besides, the activation of wnt signaling pathway in mesenchymal stem cell was also increased by the compound exposure. Finally, it can be summed up that this compound has excellent application values on the elderly osteoporotic hip fractures treatment by increasing the activation of wnt signaling pathway in mesenchymal stem cell. The results of the CCK-8 assay indicated that the compound has no cytotoxicity on the mesenchymal stem cell. The molecular docking simulation results have identified that only the carboxyl group on the Cu complex exhibits the activity for the hydrogen bond formation, however, the pyridine ring does not have such activity, instead, the pyridine ring only acts as the ligand that binds to the Cu ion. This Cu(II) coordination polymer has excellent application values on the elderly osteoporotic hip fractures treatment by increasing the activation of wnt signaling pathway in mesenchymal stem cell.

Abstract
Sulfonic acid groups with C3ν symmetry can coordinate with metal ions to produce multidimensional structures due to their flexible coordination modes. They can also penetrate into supramolecular structures through an intriguing bridging pattern and weak interactions. Herein, a novel heterocyclic sodium sulfonate supramolecular structure, namely [Na(Pyr-SO3)(H2O)]n where Pyr-SO3H is pyrazine sulfonic acid, is synthesized by utilizing NaBF4 to coordinate with the P–SO3H ligand through the solvent evaporation method. The single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) data indicate that the as-formed structure belongs to the Pbca space group. Additional properties are characterized by powder XRD, thermal analysis, and solid-state fluorescence. In particular, the introduction of a soft alkali metal ion can coordinate with the oxygen atom of the sulfonate ligand and form a Na–O bridging configuration that can not only significantly improve the pyrazine sulfonic acid ligand coordination ability, but also provide a reference for the extended study of functional sulfonate polymers in the future.

A pair of two-dimensional (2D) isostructural coordination polymers (CPs), {[Co(2,3-qldc)(H2O)]}

(1) and {[Mn(2,3-qldc)(H2O)]}

(2), where 2,3-H2qldc = quinoline-2,3-dicarboxylic acid, were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized through IR spectroscopy, elemental and thermal analysis, power X-ray diffraction, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The results have revealed that the fully deprotonated 2,3-H2qldc ligand connects the Co(II)/Mn(II) atoms with a μ
3-bridge to form a square-wave 2D network, which is further extended into 3D stacks through O–H···O, C–H···O hydrogen bonds and π···π stacking interactions. Topologically, 1 or 2 can be simplified as a 4-connected
sql
type with a Schläfli symbol {44·62} and a Shubnikov tetragonal plane net, or as a 3-connected
fes
type with a Schläfli symbol {4·82} and a Shubnikov plane net. The thermal stability and the solid state fluorescence properties of 1 and 2 were investigated.

Abstract
In the current study, using a semi-flexible quadritopic N-donor ligand, 5,5′-bipyrimidine (bpym), a new azide-based coordination polymer, [Co(bpym)(N3)2]n (1), was synthesized and structurally characterized via the single crystal X-ray diffraction along with the elemental analysis. Its treatment activity on the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) would be evaluated and the related mechanism was explored. Firstly, the ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay) detection assay was performed and the levels of the inflammatory cytokines were measured. In addition to this, the NF-κB signaling pathway activation in the lung epithelial cells was measured with the real time RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction). Both six-membered rings containing nitrogen and the azide group on the designed drug molecule were confirmed by molecular docking simulation to have activities to the NF-kappaB.
