Abstract
In this work, benzimidazole (Hbim) and Cu(II) ions ligands were chosen as building blocks to produce a novel Cu(II) compound (CP) based on {Cu4O}cluster, namely, [Cu4OCl6(Hbim)4]n·n(H2O)·2n(EtOH) (1). The investigation of SCXRD reveals that the CP 1 is a separated 0D structure based on tetrahedral {Cu4O} clusters. Furthermore, this supramolecular frame displayed superior photocatalytic effect on the photodegradation of MB under UV light irradiation.

Abstract
Graft copolymerization of methyl methacrylate onto cod collagen was carried out under visible light irradiation (λ = 400-700 nm) at 20-25 °C using the RbTe1.5W0.5O6, CsTeMoO6, and RbNbTeO6 complex oxides with β-pyrochlore structure as photocatalysts. The as-prepared materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. It was also found that RbNbTeO6 with β-pyrochlore structure was not able to photocatalyze the reaction. Enzymatic hydrolysis of the obtained graft copolymers proceeds with the formation of peptides with a molecular weight (MW) of about 20 and 10 kDa. In contrast to collagen, which decomposes predominantly to peptides with MW of about 10 kDa, the ratio of fractions with MW of about 10 kDa and 20 kDa differs much less, their changes are symbatic, and the content of polymers with MW of more than 20 kDa is about 70% after 1 h in the case of graft copolymers. The data obtained indicate that synthetic fragments grafted to the collagen macromolecule do not prevent the hydrolysis of the peptide bonds but change the rate of polymer degradation. This is important for creating network matrix scaffolds based on graft copolymers by cross-linking peptides, which are products of enzymatic hydrolysis.

Abstract
A new thermostable Co(II)-based compound, namely [Co3(L)2(HTEA)2]n (1, HL = isonicotinic acid, H3TEA = triethanolamine), has been successfully synthesized by the isomicotinic acid ligand and HTEA anion. The photocatalytic property of 1 was also investigated, indicating that it shows excellent photocatalytic activity for the degradation of Rhodamine B (MB) solution under the UV light irradiation. For the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, the content of the inflammatory cytokines released into the trigeminal ganglion tissue fluid was measured with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) assay. Then, the real-time Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) was conducted and the activation of the nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB) inflammatory signaling pathway was measured.

Abstract
Through the self-assembly reaction of 5-substituted isophthalic acid and bis(imidazolyl) ligands with Cd(II) ion or Zn(II) ion, two new coordination polymers with the chemical formulae of [Cd(5-meo-ip)(bmip)]n (1) and [Zn(5-pro-ip)(bip)]n·2 n(H2O) (2) (5-meo-H2ip = 5-methoxyisophthalic acid, 5-pro-H2ip = 5-propoxyisophthalic acid, bmip = 1,3-bis(2-methylimidazolyl)propane bip = 1,3-bis(imidazolyl)propane) were successfully obtained and structurally characterized by a series of characterization techniques. Moreover, compounds 1-2 show intense blue luminescence at room temperature. Furthermore, the assessment of their treatment activity on the uterine fibroids combined with ultrasound therapy was evaluated and the specific mechanism was investigated at the same time. Firstly, the effect of compound treatment on uterine fibroids apoptosis was detected via flow cytometry. Next, the apoptotic signaling pathway activation was detected through the Caspase-3 and Caspase-8 Activity Assay Kit.

Abstract
A fresh Cu(II) coordination polymer, i.e., [Cu3(Hmbdc)2(mbdc)2(dmphen)2]n (1, H2mbdc = isophthalic acid, dmphen = 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline), has been generated with the hydrothermal reactions between Cu salts and the mixed ligands of 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline and isophthalic acid. Moreover, the catalytic activity of 1 was evaluated via degrading the Congo red with a method of Fenton with an excellent degradation efficiency of 95.8% at 100 min. Next, the application value of compound on stroke was assessed, and the related mechanisms were explored at the same time. First of all, the tumor necrosis factor-α and recombinant rat IL-1β content released into the plasma were determined with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay detection kit. Besides, the activation of the HMGB1/TLR4 signaling pathway activation in cerebral vascular endothelial cells was also determined with real-time reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction assay.

Abstract
Coordination compounds have undergone booming development in the past 20 years for their applications as multifunctional materials in the field of catalysis and biomedicine. To create compounds with both catalytic and bioactive properties, we selected Cu(II) ion and benzimidazole (Hbim) ligand as the building blocks to fabricate a new cluster-based Cu(II) compound [Cu4OCl6(Hbim)4]n·n(H2O)·2n(EtOH) (1). The exploration of single crystal X-ray diffraction exhibits that complex 1 is a 0D isolated structure on the basis of tetrahedral {Cu4O} clusters. Moreover, such supramolecular framework not only shows excellent photocatalytic effect for the MB photodegradation under the irradiation of ultraviolet light but also has the application values against orbital wall fracture. This work gives new insights on the creation of coordination polymers which might be potentially used as photocatalytic and bioactive reagents.

Abstract
Presented here is a trinuclear cluster-based Cd(II) compound, namely, {[(CH3)2NH2][Cd6K(bdc)6(btz)3(H2O)6]}n (1 H2bdc = terephthalic acid, Hbtz = 1H-benzotriazole), has been solvothermally prepared and structurally determined by the single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, elemental analysis, powder X-ray diffraction analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis. Notably, compound 1 shows excellent photocatalytic activity for degradation of MV irradiated by UV light. In addition to this, the biological activity of the new compound on bacterial infection was evaluated, and the corresponding mechanism was also studied. The ELISA assay was used to evaluate the TNF-α and IL-1β released into plasma after compound treatment. Then, the relative expression levels of the bacterial survival gene were measured with real-time RT-PCR.

Abstract
A new Cd(II) coordination polymer with the formula of {[(CH3)2NH2][Cd3(NH2-bdc)3(btz)(H2O)]} n (1 NH2-H2bdc = 2-aminoterephthalic acid, Hbtz = 1 H-benzotriazole) was produced and then it was structurally characterized through powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), the analysis of X-ray single-crystal diffraction, along with elemental analysis (EA). The photocatalytic property investigations indicate that compound 1 exhibits good activity for photodegradation of methyl violet (MV) with 60.7% of MV removal in 40 min under room temperature. Furthermore, the assessment of the compound's treatment activity and nursing application values on the bacterial infection was conducted and its corresponding mechanism was also studied. Evaluation of the in vitro hemolysis of the compound was determined by measuring the degree of red blood cell lysis and hemoglobin release. The effect of new compounds on the relative proliferation rate of L-929 cells was measured by MTT assay. The ELISA detection kit showed that the compound could reduce the TNF-α and IL-1β content released into plasma. Next, the inhibitory activity of the compound on the bacterial survival gene expression was also proved with real-time RT-PCR. The hemolysis rate of the new compound to blood is 3.4%, which is less than the standard 5%, which is non-hemolytic reaction. The compound also has no obvious cytotoxicity and has good cell compatibility.

Abstract
A Cu(II) coordination polymer with the composition of [Cu2(L)2(4,4'-bipy)2]n·2 n(ClO4) (1, HL = 4-methyl-L-phenylalanine and 4,4'-bipy is 4,4'-bipyridine), was successfully obtained by the reaction of the mixed ligand of HL and 4,4'-bipy with Cu(ClO4)2 · 6H2O under solvothermal condition. The as-synthesized compound not only has high thermal stability until 275°C but also excellent photocatalytic activity for the methyl blue solution degradation under the irradiation of ultraviolet light. Furthermore, the compound's treatment activity on the diabetes was determined and its relevant mechanism was also studied. The cytotoxicity or hemolysis toxicity (HC50) of the synthesized compound was also evaluated in this research.
