Abstract
In this study, we synthesized MOF/COF hybrid material (NH2-MOF-5/MCOF) by integrating NH2-MOF-5 (Zn) with a melamine-based COF (MCOF) to target the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye. Characterization using SEM, XRD, XPS, FT-IR, and UV-DRS confirmed the synthesized MOF/COF hybrid's exceptional photocatalytic performance under visible light. The addition of H2O2 significantly enhanced the photocatalytic degradation, achieving removal rates of 90%, 92%, and 57% for 11.75 mg L-1, 30 mg L-1, and 83 mg L-1 of MB, respectively. Kinetic studies revealed first-order kinetics, with a rate constant nearly 3.5 times higher with added H2O2. We proposed a comprehensive photocatalytic mechanism elucidated through energy band structure analysis and scavenger tests. Our findings revealed the formation of a heterojunction between NH2-MOF-5 and MCOF, which mitigates electron-hole recombination, with ∙OH identified as the principal species governing methylene blue degradation. Moreover, the NH2-MOF-5/MCOF hybrid displayed excellent reusability and chemical stability over six cycles. Notably, this H2O2-assisted hybrid material demonstrated the removal of 99% of ibuprofen, a pharmaceutical drug, showcasing its broad applicability in removing organic contaminants in aqueous solutions, thereby holding great promise for wastewater treatment.

Abstract
The occurrence of colloids on pollutants transport in groundwater has attracted more attention. However, the research on the regulation mechanism of colloids on combined pollutants transport in heterogeneous aquifers is limited. In this study, a series of tank experiments were conducted to systematically investigate the effects of ionic strength, and cation type on humic acid (HA) facilitated transport of toluene (TOL), and naphthalene (NAP) in high- and low-permeability systems. The results showed that HA facilitated pollutants transport in low Na+ solution. In Ca2+ solution, the presence of HA hindered pollutants transport, and the inhibition increased with the increase of ionic strength. Both in Na+ solution and low Ca2+ solution, the influence of heterogeneous structure on pollutant transport played a dominant role, and TOL and NAP had a greater transport potential in the high permeability zone (HPZ) due to the preferential flow. Whereas, deposition of HA aggregates, and electrostatic attractive interaction had negative effects on transport than groundwater flow in high Ca2+ solution. Pollutants were prone to accumulate at the bottom of the HPZ, and the top of the low permeability zone (LPZ). These new findings provide insights into the mechanism of colloids influence on the pollutants transport in heterogenous aquifer.

JOURNAL OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS 2022; 438:129525. Abstract
Laccase has received extensive attention in pollutant degradation due to its high efficiency and environmental friendliness, but free laccase has poor stability, easy inactivation, and difficulty in recycling, which limited its application. It was a smart strategy to construct a synergistic system for the efficient adsorption and degradation of pollutants by enzyme immobilization to improve the stability and recyclability of the enzyme. In this study, the materials were synthesized by a one-step co-precipitation method. With Cu-MOF as the main body, Co2+ was introduced to construct bimetallic CoCu-MOF as the protective carrier of the enzyme. The enzyme-carrying capacity and enzyme activity of Lac@CoCu-MOF were 2-fold and 3.5-fold higher than those of Lac@Cu-MOF, respectively. Lac@MOF composites had a good protective effect on enzyme in various interfering environments. At pH = 7, free laccase was completely inactivated and Lac@CoCu-MOF maintained 51.76% enzyme activity. In addition, the removal rate of Congo red by Lac@CoCu-MOF reached 90 % in 1 h at pH = 4 % and 95 % in 5 h at pH = 7, and the final TOC mineralization rate reached 86.05 %. After six cycles, the degradation rate of Lac@CoCu-MOF remained above 75 %. Therefore, Lac@CoCu-MOF was constructed with the advantages of enzyme immobilization (enhanced stability and easy operation), material adsorption, and biocatalysis (fast diffusion and high activity), which has great guiding significance for the industrial application of enzyme.

Abstract
Developing multi-functional media for effectively removing different contaminants coexisted in wastewater system is highly desired. Herein, zein, a natural protein possessing abundant functional groups in molecule, is chosen to be fabricated into micro/nanofibrous membranes as adsorbents and separation media. Zein fibers with novel groove ribbon structures, which possess better structural characteristics, are designed for obtaining good adsorption performance. The adsorption performances of zein fiber membranes are evaluated. The results show that zein fiber membranes have the adsorption capacities up to 94 g/g for motor oil, 168 mg/g for Congo red, and 189 mg/g for Pb2+ ion for 1000 mg/L initial solution concentration, showing considerable competitiveness as compared with the reported adsorbents. The zein membrane with groove ribbon fiber morphology exhibits optimal adsorption capability and can be attractive multi-functional separation media.
