Abstract
In this study, eggshell as a biomaterial was used as an adsorbent. This natural waste material is easy to access and cost-free. The surface of the eggshell with its porous structure showed affinity to adsorb damaging chemicals. In particular insecticides cause serious environmental pollution in agriculture, and this is a general problem all over the world. The aim was to remove insecticides from the environment and monitor the pesticides on the surface of eggshells by atomic force microscopy (AFM) images, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and UV/Vis spectroscopic techniques. Five types of eggshells, Denizli Hen, Coturnix Coturnix Japonica, Light Brahma Chicken, Alectoris Chukar and ISA Tinted -White, were used. Since they are commonly used, Cypermethrin, Deltamethrin and Indoxacarb were chosen as insecticide samples. The interaction effect of insecticides on the surface of eggshells was determined by AFM images; it was seen that the semispherical surface structures of the eggshells were flattened after adsorption. FTIR spectroscopy was used both to detect structural analysis and to determine the adsorption influence. In addition, UV-Vis spectroscopy was performed to evaluate the adsorption and desorption process. Porous media of different types of eggshells with an aqueous solution of insecticides had an electronegativity attractive surface which makes it an ideal adsorbent via hydroxyl groups.

Abstract
The residues of pyrethroids in foods of animal origin are dangerous to the consumers, so this study presented a chemiluminescence sensor for determination of pyrethroids in chicken samples. A dual-dummy-template molecularly imprinted polymer capable of recognizing 10 pyrethroids was synthesized. The results of computation simulation showed that the specific 3D conformations of the templates had important influences on the polymer' recognition ability. The polymer was used to prepare a sensor on conventional 96-well microplates, and the sample solution was added into the wells for direct absorption. The absorbed analytes were initiated with the bis(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)oxalate-H2 O2 -imidazole system, and the chemiluminescence intensity was used for analyte quantification. Results showed that one assay was finished within 12 min, and this sensor could be reused four times. The limits of detection for the 10 analytes were in the range o0.3-6.0 pg/ml, and the recoveries from the standards of fortified blank chicken samples were in the range 70.5-99.7%.

Abstract
Aiming to implement an analytical methodology that is highly selective for the extraction and quantification of terbuthylazine from olive oil, we successfully achieved: (i) the development of a molecularly imprinted polymer by bulk polymerization using terbuthylazine as template molecule, methacrylic acid as functional monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as cross-linker, and dichloromethane as porogen; (ii) characterization of the imprinting material using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, nitrogen adsorption at 77 K, and scanning electron microscopy; (iii) their molecular recognition for the template molecule using high-performance liquid chromatography, and (iv) optimization of a solid-phase extraction procedure using as sorbent the synthesized molecularly imprinted polymer for the selective extraction and clean-up of terbuthylazine from spiked organic olive oil and further quantification of the pesticide levels by high-performance liquid chromatography. The suitability of the implemented analytical methodology was demonstrated, as concentrations of terbuthylazine below the tolerated maximum residue limits in the spiked organic olive oil samples could be satisfactorily analyzed with good precision/accuracy with high recovery rates (96%). Overall, the implemented methodology has proven to be reliable and robust and is highly promising in the field of sample preparation, particularly for the isolation/preconcentration of terbuthylazine in complex food samples.
