Abstract
The dynamical study of continuous-/discontinuous-time fractional-order neural networks (FONNs) has been thoroughly explored, and several publications have been made available. This study is designed to give an exhaustive review of the dynamical studies of multidimensional FONNs in continuous/discontinuous time, including Hopfield NNs (HNNs), Cohen-Grossberg NNs, and bidirectional associative memory NNs, and similar models are considered in real ( [Formula: see text]), complex ( [Formula: see text]), quaternion ( [Formula: see text]), and octonion ( [Formula: see text]) fields. Since, in practice, delays are unavoidable, theoretical findings from multidimensional FONNs with various types of delays are thoroughly evaluated. Some required and adequate stability and synchronization requirements are also mentioned for fractional-order NNs without delays.

Abstract
During the past decades, many works on Hopf bifurcation of fractional-order neural networks are mainly concerned with real-valued and complex-valued cases. However, few publications involve the quaternion-valued neural networks which is a generalization of real-valued and complex-valued neural networks. In this present study, we explorate the Hopf bifurcation problem for fractional-order quaternion-valued neural networks involving leakage delays. Taking advantage of the Hamilton rule of quaternion algebra, we decompose the addressed fractional-order quaternion-valued delayed neural networks into the equivalent eight real valued networks. Then the delay-inspired bifurcation condition of the eight real valued networks are derived by making use of the stability criterion and bifurcation theory of fractional-order differential dynamical systems. The impact of leakage delay on the bifurcation behavior of the involved fractional-order quaternion-valued delayed neural networks has been revealed. Software simulations are implemented to support the effectiveness of the derived fruits of this study. The research supplements the work of Huang et al. (Neural Netw 117:67-93, 2019).

Abstract
This paper constructs knowledge graphs of speech emotion feature to support the expression of rich semantic information due to their unique graphical structure and to provide new ideas for studying speech emotion recognition recommendations. Impulse-coupled neural networks, as a mathematical abstraction of the visual properties of the human eye, have been widely used in various fields of speech processing. In this paper, we take the classical impulse-coupled neural network model as the research object, aiming to explore, analyze, and study the method of constructing knowledge maps of speech emotion features based on the impulse-coupled neural network model, and propose several improved impulse-coupled neural network models, which are used in the fields of target detection, speech segmentation, and quantization compression. This paper further constructs various domain semantic concept maps and performs multidimensional semantic enhancement understanding of search text based on the concept maps and the constructed entity-relationship knowledge maps and proposes a knowledge-based interpretable recommendation method for cloud services and a generalized recommendation and sample enhancement method for cloud scenarios. The fusion algorithm based on multiscale analysis can decompose the source speech into subspeech at different scales and then fuse each subspeech separately, while typical objects in the real world are also composed of many components at different scales. Based on the factors of different degrees in the speech context, the imagery work ruler evaluation model is refined with the basic principles of risk perception and risk resolution in the context, and an exploratory design is carried out separately for the verbal description, graphics, text, color, animation, and sound signals in the audiovisual signal using the workshop format to obtain a large number of design samples and evaluate the important units in turn, finally integrating the context involved in the study. The perceptual design system is given as a specific contextual design method.

Abstract
Vertex classification is an important graph mining technique and has important applications in fields such as social recommendation and e-Commerce recommendation. Existing classification methods fail to make full use of the graph topology to improve the classification performance. To alleviate it, we propose a Dual Graph Wavelet neural Network composed of two identical graph wavelet neural networks sharing network parameters. These two networks are integrated with a semi-supervised loss function and carry out supervised learning and unsupervised learning on two matrixes representing the graph topology extracted from the same graph dataset, respectively. One matrix embeds the local consistency information and the other the global consistency information. To reduce the computational complexity of the convolution operation of the graph wavelet neural network, we design an approximate scheme based on the first type Chebyshev polynomial. Experimental results show that the proposed network significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art approaches for vertex classification on all three benchmark datasets and the proposed approximation scheme is validated for datasets with low vertex average degree when the approximation order is small.

Abstract
In this work, a bibliographic analysis on artificial neural networks (ANNs) using fractional calculus (FC) theory has been developed to summarize the main features and applications of the ANNs. ANN is a mathematical modeling tool used in several sciences and engineering fields. FC has been mainly applied on ANNs with three different objectives, such as systems stabilization, systems synchronization, and parameters training, using optimization algorithms. FC and some control strategies have been satisfactorily employed to attain the synchronization and stabilization of ANNs. To show this fact, in this manuscript are summarized, the architecture of the systems, the control strategies, and the fractional derivatives used in each research work, also, the achieved goals are presented. Regarding the parameters training using optimization algorithms issue, in this manuscript, the systems types, the fractional derivatives involved, and the optimization algorithm employed to train the ANN parameters are also presented. In most of the works found in the literature where ANNs and FC are involved, the authors focused on controlling the systems using synchronization and stabilization. Furthermore, recent applications of ANNs with FC in several fields such as medicine, cryptographic, image processing, robotic are reviewed in detail in this manuscript. Works with applications, such as chaos analysis, functions approximation, heat transfer process, periodicity, and dissipativity, also were included. Almost to the end of the paper, several future research topics arising on ANNs involved with FC are recommended to the researchers community. From the bibliographic review, we concluded that the Caputo derivative is the most utilized derivative for solving problems with ANNs because its initial values take the same form as the differential equations of integer-order.

Abstract
The fixed-time synchronization and preassigned-time synchronization of quaternion-valued neural networks are concerned in this article. By developing fixed-time stability and proposing a pure power-law control scheme, some simple conditions are obtained to realize fixed-time synchronization of quaternion-valued neural networks and the upper bound of the synchronized time is provided. Furthermore, the preassigned-time synchronization of quaternion-valued neural networks is investigated based on pure power-law control design, where the synchronization time is preassigned in advance and the control gains are finite. Note that the designed controllers in this paper are the pure power-law forms, which are simpler and more effective compared with the traditional design composed of the linear part and power-law part. Eventually, an example is given to illustrate the feasibility and validity of the results obtained.

Abstract
This research study investigates the issue of finite-time passivity analysis of neutral-type neural networks with mixed time-varying delays. The time-varying delays are distributed, discrete and neutral in that the upper bounds for the delays are available. We are investigating the creation of sufficient conditions for finite boundness, finite-time stability and finite-time passivity, which has never been performed before. First, we create a new Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, Peng–Park’s integral inequality, descriptor model transformation and zero equation use, and then we use Wirtinger’s integral inequality technique. New finite-time stability necessary conditions are constructed in terms of linear matrix inequalities in order to guarantee finite-time stability for the system. Finally, numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the result’s effectiveness. Moreover, our proposed criteria are less conservative than prior studies in terms of larger time-delay bounds.

Abstract
An elastic beam equation (EBEq) described by a fourth-order fractional difference equation is proposed in this work with three-point boundary conditions involving the Riemann–Liouville fractional difference operator. New sufficient conditions ensuring the solutions’ existence and uniqueness of the proposed problem are established. The findings are obtained by employing properties of discrete fractional equations, Banach contraction, and Brouwer fixed-point theorems. Further, we discuss our problem’s results concerning Hyers–Ulam (HU), generalized Hyers–Ulam (GHU), Hyers–Ulam–Rassias (HUR), and generalized Hyers–Ulam–Rassias (GHUR) stability. Specific examples with graphs and numerical experiment are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of our results.

Abstract
This paper deals with the existence of nonnegative solutions for a class of boundary value problems of fractional q-differential equation D q σ c [ k ] ( t ) = w ( t , k ( t ) , c D q ζ [ k ] ( t ) ) with three-point conditions for t ∈ ( 0 , 1 ) on a time scale T t 0 = { t : t = t 0 q n } ∪ { 0 } , where n ∈ N , t 0 ∈ R , and 0 < q < 1 , based on the Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative and Guo-Krasnoselskii theorem. Moreover, we discuss the existence of nonnegative solutions. Examples involving algorithms and illustrated graphs are presented to demonstrate the validity of our theoretical findings.

Abstract
Pantograph, the technological successor of trolley poles, is an overhead current collector of electric bus, electric trains, and trams. In this work, we consider the discrete fractional pantograph equation of the form Δ∗β[k](t)=wt+β,k(t+β),k(λ(t+β)), with condition k(0)=p[k] for t∈N1−β, 0<β≤1, λ∈(0,1) and investigate the properties of asymptotic stability of solutions. We will prove the main results by the aid of Krasnoselskii’s and generalized Banach fixed point theorems. Examples involving algorithms and illustrated graphs are presented to demonstrate the validity of our theoretical findings.

Abstract
Stochastic disturbances often cause undesirable characteristics in real-world system modeling. As a result, investigations on stochastic disturbances in neural network (NN) modeling are important. In this study, stochastic disturbances are considered for the formulation of a new class of NN models; i.e., the discrete-time stochastic quaternion-valued neural networks (DSQVNNs). In addition, the mean-square asymptotic stability issue in DSQVNNs is studied. Firstly, we decompose the original DSQVNN model into four real-valued models using the real-imaginary separation method, in order to avoid difficulties caused by non-commutative quaternion multiplication. Secondly, some new sufficient conditions for the mean-square asymptotic stability criterion with respect to the considered DSQVNN model are obtained via the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, based on the Lyapunov functional and stochastic analysis. Finally, examples are presented to ascertain the usefulness of the obtained theoretical results.

Abstract
In this paper, we study the mean-square exponential input-to-state stability (exp-ISS) problem for a new class of neural network (NN) models, i.e., continuous-time stochastic memristive quaternion-valued neural networks (SMQVNNs) with time delays. Firstly, in order to overcome the difficulties posed by non-commutative quaternion multiplication, we decompose the original SMQVNNs into four real-valued models. Secondly, by constructing suitable Lyapunov functional and applying It o ^ ’s formula, Dynkin’s formula as well as inequity techniques, we prove that the considered system model is mean-square exp-ISS. In comparison with the conventional research on stability, we derive a new mean-square exp-ISS criterion for SMQVNNs. The results obtained in this paper are the general case of previously known results in complex and real fields. Finally, a numerical example has been provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results.

Abstract
We study the global asymptotic stability problem with respect to the fractional-order quaternion-valued bidirectional associative memory neural network (FQVBAMNN) models in this paper. Whether the real and imaginary parts of quaternion-valued activation functions are expressed implicitly or explicitly, they are considered to meet the global Lipschitz condition in the quaternion field. New sufficient conditions are derived by applying the principle of homeomorphism, Lyapunov fractional-order method and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach for the two cases of activation functions. The results confirm the existence, uniqueness and global asymptotic stability of the system’s equilibrium point. Finally, two numerical examples with their simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained results.

Abstract
This paper studies the global Mittag–Leffler stability and stabilization analysis of fractional-order quaternion-valued memristive neural networks (FOQVMNNs). The state feedback stabilizing control law is designed in order to stabilize the considered problem. Based on the non-commutativity of quaternion multiplication, the original fractional-order quaternion-valued systems is divided into four fractional-order real-valued systems. By using the method of Lyapunov fractional-order derivative, fractional-order differential inclusions, set-valued maps, several global Mittag–Leffler stability and stabilization conditions of considered FOQVMNNs are established. Two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the usefulness of our analytical results.
