Abstract
An infrared spectroscopic and MP2/6-311++G(2d,2p) study of the complexes between N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and nitrogen, carbon monoxide, water, ammonia trapped in solid argon matrices is reported [corrected]. The 1:1 molecular complexes have been identified in the DMF/B/Ar matrices (B=N2, CO, H2O, NH3); their structures were determined by comparison of the spectra with the results of calculations. The analysis of the experimental and theoretical data indicate that the DMF-N2, CO complexes present in the matrices are stabilized by (C=)O⋯N and (C=)O⋯C van der Waals interactions. In turn, in the DMF-H2O, NH3 complexes the (C=)O⋯H(OH) and (C=)O⋯H(NH2) hydrogen bonding is present in which the carbonyl group of DMF acts as a proton acceptor. In all systems studied the C-H⋯X (X=N, C, O) bonding is a second intermolecular force stabilizing the planar complexes. Some spectral features indicate that for DMF-H2O, DMF-NH3 systems the nonplanar structures with the C=O⋯H interaction are also present. The study demonstrated the strong sensitivity of the CH stretching wavenumber to an involvement of the C-H and/or C=O groups of DMF in an intermolecular interaction.

Abstract
The structure and configuration of the series of previously unknown arylaminomethylidenefuran-2(3H)-ones have been determined in solution by 1 H, 13 C, 15 N nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy including two-dimensional experiments such as 1 H─1 H COSY, dqCOSY, 1 H─13 C HSQC, 1 H─13 C HMBC. It was found that synthesized substances exist as an equilibrium mixture of E- and Z-enamines in solution. It was established on the basis of density functional theory calculations that the exchange between the two push-pull enamines is a simple rotation around an exocyclic partial double bond that depends on the effect of the solvents. Abstract
The hydrogen bonding between dopamine hydrochloride (DH) and N,N-dimethyl formamide (DMF) were investigated by UV-visible spectra (UV-Vis), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and density functional theory (DFT). It was found that the position of UV-Vis absorption band and the anodic/cathodic peak potentials of DH were all affected by the concentrations of DH in DMF. It was suggested that hydrogen bonding were formed between DH and DMF, which was confirmed by the DFT results. AIM analyses were performed to elucidate the nature of the hydrogen bonding in the mixtures.

Abstract
B3LYP calculations, ChelpG atomic charges, and quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) integrations were used to investigate the binary (1:1) and ternary (1:2) hydrogen-bonded complexes formed by aziridine (1) and ammonia (2). In a series of analysis, geometry data, electronic parameters, vibrational oscillators, and topological descriptors were used to evaluate hydrogen bond strength, and additionally to determine the more prominent molecular deformations upon the formation of C(2)H(5)N···NH(3) (1:1) and C(2)H(5)N···2NH(3) (1:2) systems. Taking a spectroscopic viewpoint, results obtained from analysis of the harmonic infrared spectrum were examined. From these, new vibrational modes and red- and blue-shifts related to the stretch frequencies of either donors or acceptors of protons were identified. Furthermore, the molecular topology of the electronic density modeled in accord with QTAIM was absolutely critical in defining bond critical points (BCP) and ring critical points (RCP) on the heterocyclic structures. Taking all the results together allowed us to identify and characterize all the N···H hydrogen bonds, as well as the strain ring of the aziridine and its stability.
