Global asymptotic stability of complex-valued neural networks with additive time-varying delays

In this paper, we extensively study the global asymptotic stability problem of complex-valued neural networks with leakage delay and additive time-varying delays. By constructing a suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and applying newly developed complex valued integral inequalities, sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of proposed neural networks are established in the form of complex-valued linear matrix inequalities. This linear matrix inequalities are efficiently solved by using standard available numerical packages. Finally, three numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Event-based exponential synchronization of complex networks

In this paper, we consider exponential synchronization of complex networks. The information diffusions between nodes are driven by properly defined events. By employing the M-matrix theory, algebraic graph theory and the Lyapunov method, two kinds of distributed event-triggering laws are designed, which avoid continuous communications between nodes. Then, several criteria that ensure the event-based exponential synchronization are presented, and the exponential convergence rates are obtained as well. Furthermore, we prove that Zeno behavior of the event-triggering laws can be excluded before synchronization being achieved, that is, the lower bounds of inter-event times are strictly positive. Finally, a simulation example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of theoretical analysis.

Delay decomposition approach to [Formula: see text] filtering analysis of genetic oscillator networks with time-varying delays

In this paper, the [Formula: see text] filtering problem is treated for N coupled genetic oscillator networks with time-varying delays and extrinsic molecular noises. Each individual genetic oscillator is a complex dynamical network that represents the genetic oscillations in terms of complicated biological functions with inner or outer couplings denote the biochemical interactions of mRNAs, proteins and other small molecules. Throughout the paper, first, by constructing appropriate delay decomposition dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional combined with reciprocal convex approach, improved delay-dependent sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the asymptotic stability of the filtering error system with a prescribed [Formula: see text] performance. Second, based on the above analysis, the existence of the designed [Formula: see text] filters are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities with Kronecker product. Finally, numerical examples including a coupled Goodwin oscillator model are inferred to illustrate the effectiveness and less conservatism of the proposed techniques.
