Abstract
The Da Vinci single port® (SP) robotic platform heralds a new era of minimally invasive surgery (MIS). The primary objective of this study was to assess short-term outcomes in patients undergoing SP robotic hysterectomy with concomitant sacrocolpopexy for pelvic organ prolapse (POP). We performed a retrospective case series at two tertiary care centers between January 2021 and August 2023. Patients with POP electing to undergo SP robotic hysterectomy with concomitant sacrocolpopexy were included. Chart abstraction was used to collect patient demographics and clinical outcomes. Recurrent POP was defined as new bothersome vaginal bulge symptoms and evidence of POP beyond the hymen on postoperative examination. 69 patients were included. Median operative time was 209 min (135-312) and estimated blood loss was 100 mL (20-2000). 1 (1.4%) patient sustained a major vascular injury resulting in laparotomy. Median pain score and morphine equivalents administered in PACU were low at 3 (0-7) and 3.2 (0-27) respectively. At 3 months, 60 (86.9%) patients were seen either in person or via telemedicine for their follow up appointment. 59/60 (98.3%) reported no vaginal bulge symptoms and 50/51 (98.0%) had stage 0 or 1 prolapse on exam. One (1.4%) patient had recurrent prolapse and underwent an additional repair. Postoperative complications included 2 (2.9%) cases of ileus/small bowel obstruction, 1 (1.4%) pelvic hematoma requiring a blood transfusion, and 1 (1.4%) umbilical hernia. The SP robotic platform is a safe and feasible platform for MIS hysterectomy and sacrocolpopexy with good short term anatomic and symptomatic outcomes.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION AND HYPOTHESIS The objective was to assess intraoperative and postoperative complication rates, along with perioperative and surgical outcomes, following single-port robotics-assisted sacrocolpopexy. METHODS This retrospective case series included 200 patients who underwent single-port robotics-assisted sacrocolpopexy to treat Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification (POPQ) stage 2-4 symptomatic prolapse between April 2020 and August 2023 by a single surgeon. Intraoperative and postoperative complications and perioperative outcomes were evaluated for all the patients, whereas surgical outcomes for 74 patients were assessed at 1-year follow-up. Surgical failure was defined as the presence of any of the following: the presence of vaginal bulging symptoms, any prolapse beyond the hymen, or retreatment for prolapse. RESULTS During the study period, 200 single-port robotics-assisted sacrocolpopexies were performed. The median age and body mass index were 65.0 years and 24.6 kg/m2 respectively. Most patients had POPQ stage 3 or 4 prolapse and underwent concomitant total hysterectomy. The median total operation time was 212.0 min, and none of the patients required conversion to laparoscopy or laparotomy. The intraoperative cystotomy rate was 2.5%, and one patient had a blood transfusion owing to presacral vessel injury. Postoperative complications of mesh exposure and wound hernia were 0.5% and 2.0% respectively. At 1 year postoperatively, the rate of composite surgical failure was 9.5%, with a 5.4% anatomical recurrence rate. None of the patients experienced apical prolapse recurrence, and one received anterior colporrhaphy for anterior compartment prolapse recurrence. CONCLUSIONS Single-port robotics-assisted sacrocolpopexy is safe and effective, with low complication rates and favorable perioperative and surgical outcomes.

Abstract
Background Bariatric surgeries, including the sleeve gastrectomy, have been recognized as the most effectively treatment strategy for severe obesity. Magnetic devices have been successfully used in bariatric surgeries. Here, we intended to evaluate the safety and efficiency of magnetic anchoring device assisted-laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (MLSG), and to make a comparison of the short-term results between conventional laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (CLSG) and MLSG. Methods The retrospective cohort study was carried out by analyzing and summarizing the data from a database of routinely collected data. The cohort included the patients who underwent either CLSG (n = 120) or MLSG (n = 115) at a single center between January 2018 and December 2020 with a two-year follow-up. The effects of these two surgeries on the weight loss, resolution of comorbidities and quality of life (QOL) were analyzed. Results The two groups were similar in gender, age, body mass index, abdominal girth, as well as the type and proportion of comorbidities. And the cases in MLSG group had a markedly shorter time of operation (MLSG, 72.59 min vs. CLSG, 76.67 min; P = 0.003). Length of stay in hospital was significantly shorter in the MLSG group than that in the CLSG group (MLSG, 5.59 days vs. CLSG, 5.96 days; P = 0.016). Neither fatal event nor conversion to open surgery happened among all cases. There were no differences in terms of the postoperative complications between the two groups. Magnetic device-related mild hepatic lacerations occurred and were handled by hemostatic treatments in 3 cases. The QOL of patients in MLSG was better at 6-month after surgery, but there was no significant difference between the two groups at 1-year or 2-year after surgery. Conclusion Both MLSG and CLSG prove safe and effective, and the patients underwent MLSG have a shorter length of stay in hospital, and a better QOL during 6 months after surgery.

Abstract
This review aimed to summarize the complications and surgical outcomes of robot-assisted sacrocolpopexy. Nineteen original articles on 1,440 robotic sacrocolpopexies were reviewed, and three systematic reviews and meta-analyses were summarized in terms of intraoperative, perioperative, postoperative, and/or surgical outcomes. Robotic sacrocolpopexy has demonstrated low overall complication rates and favorable surgical outcomes. Nevertheless, long-term follow-up outcomes regarding objective and/or subjective prolapse recurrence, reoperation rates, and mesh-related complications remain unclear. Further research is required to demonstrate whether the robotic approach for sacrocolpopexy is feasible or can become the modality of choice in the future when performing sacrocolpopexy.

Abstract
To evaluate a novel Magnetic Robotic Platform during reduced-port laparoscopic surgery in a prospective, multicenter clinical trial. Background Magnetic surgery has been developed to increase the benefits of minimally invasive surgery, with prior studies demonstrating its clinical benefits. Robotic-assisted surgery increases the surgeon's control over the instruments, offering less dependency on an assistant. The synergism of both techniques may escalate these individual benefits. Methods A prospective, multicenter, single-arm, open-label study was performed to assess the safety and performance of a robotic magnetic surgical system (Levita Robotic Platform). The investigational device was used during reduced-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic bariatric surgery. The primary endpoints evaluated were safety and feasibility. Patients were followed for 30 days post-procedure. Results Between May 2021 and December 2021, 30 patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery were recruited. There were 22 females and 8 males with a mean age of 39 years (22-69 years) and median body mass index of 33 kg/m2 (21.6-50.4 kg/m2). Procedures included 15 gastric sleeves, 14 cholecystectomies, and 1 Roux en-Y gastric bypass. The procedures were successfully performed by utilizing the robotic magnetic surgical system and a reduced-port technique in all 30 patients. No device-related serious adverse events were reported. The device provided adequate visualization and retraction in all cases. Conclusions This clinical trial shows for the first time that this novel Magnetic Robotic Platform is safe and feasible in reduced-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic bariatric surgery. This robotic platform brings the benefits of magnetic surgery in terms of reduction of incisions plus increasing the control for the surgeon.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW Recently, robotic sacrocolpopexy has become the gold standard for treating genital prolapse. Despite this, there is still much interest in this procedure, and many questions remain unanswered. This review focuses on the most critical articles on this issue that have been published in the last 2 years. RECENT FINDINGS A summary of 23 articles is provided. There were no differences in total postoperative complications, postoperative stress incontinence, mesh erosion, and the success of the two surgical techniques in long-term investigations. Obesity modestly increases robotic approach difficulty and does not raise the mesh erosion rate or prolapse recurrence rate. Ultra-light and preprepared meshes with alternative fixation techniques can be applied with these procedures. Another emerging trend is alternative robotic approaches and the use of single-port surgery. SUMMARY For women with pelvic organ prolapse, especially the elderly and obese, robotic sacrocolpopexy is well tolerated and effective. Despite highly restricted and heterogeneous data, recent investigations have included single incision methods and new mesh/fixation materials. Randomized trials with large sample size and excellent quality are necessary before the practical implementation of new techniques.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and safety of a new single-port robotic surgical system for gynecological surgery in the porcine model. MATERIALS AND METHODS Six female Tibetan miniature pigs underwent robot-assisted single-port laparoscopic total hysterectomy with the newly developed single-port EDGE SP1000 platform. Estimated blood loss (EBL), docking time, operative time, and intraoperative and postoperative complications were recorded. Postoperative pain was assessed by VAS (visual analog scale) score at 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, and 48 h. Then the experimental animals were observed for one week after surgery to assess their mental status, incisional infections and finally euthanized for necropsy to assess the recovery of the vaginal stump. RESULTS Six hysterectomies of pigs were successfully completed. There were no significant intraoperative complications in the six surgeries. The average total operation time was 113.33 min (95-143 min), and the average docking time was 5.5 min (4-7 min). The average EBL was 10 ml (5 ~ 20 ml). The mean VAS scores at 6, 12, 24, and 48 h postoperatively were 6.3, 5.7, 5, 3, respectively. At 7 days postoperatively, no significant incisional infections or other complications were observed. Post-euthanasia examination of the pelvis showed no significant abnormalities in the vaginal stump. CONCLUSION This preclinical study of a new single-port surgical system for gynecologic procedures demonstrated the safety and feasibility of the EDGE SP1000 system in porcine models. Further studies are required to assess its clinical utility in the future.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Robotic surgical technology has evolved to include a new platform specifically designed for the single-port (SP) approach. Benefits of the da Vinci SP are still under investigation. This study aimed to review the urological literature since the first report of the use of the platform. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION We performed a systematic literature review of PubMed, Medline, and Web of Science databases on June 15, 2020 searching for all available articles of da Vinci SP use from December 2014 (date of the first clinical report of da Vinci SP in the urology) until June 1, 2020 following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) Guidelines. EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS A total of 43 articles were eligible for inclusion. Ten studies reported different surgeries and techniques on cadavers while the rest described the clinical experience of different groups. We divided our article and tables into preclinical experience with surgery on cadavers, radical prostatectomy (RP) approach, and multiple types of procedures described in the same study. CONCLUSIONS The application of da Vinci SP in urologic procedures after five years of the first clinical investigation is feasible and safe. Radical prostatectomy is the most common intervention performed with this robot. Some groups described benefits in terms of less postoperative pain and early discharge, especially with the extraperitoneal approach. However, further studies with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up are awaited.
