Abstract
BACKGROUND Aneurysmal subdural hematoma (aSDH) is a rare complication of aneurysm rupture, affecting between 0.5 and 7.9% of patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). The clinical presentation, course, and outcomes of these patients are largely unknown. OBJECTIVE This study aims to systematically review the literature to evaluate the demographics, clinical presentation, aneurysm location, treatment options, and outcomes of patients with aSDH with and without aSAH. METHODS In accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guidelines, we conducted a systematic review of three databases (PubMed, EMBASE, and Google Scholar). From identified reports, we extracted data on patients' demographics, clinical presentation, imaging findings, surgical interventions, and clinical outcomes. We compared clinical outcomes, need for surgical treatment, and aneurysm location between patients with aSDH with and without concurrent aSAH using χ2 and Fisher's exact tests. We used simple and multivariable logistic regression models to further examine the association between the presence of aSAH and surgical treatment with clinical outcomes. RESULTS We identified 112 articles with a total of 270 patients (70% women, mean age 52.8 [± 15.5] years). The most common aneurysm locations were the middle cerebral artery, followed by the posterior communicating artery, and the internal carotid artery. Patients with isolated aSDH fully recovered more frequently than those with concomitant aSAH (38% vs. 6%). The presence of aSAH increased the odds of unfavorable outcome (odds ratio [OR] 2.68, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.34-5.37). Surgical treatment was inversely associated with unfavorable outcome in the univariable (OR 0.48, 95% CI 0.28-0.84) but not in the multivariable analysis (OR 0.76, 95% CI 0.35-1.66). CONCLUSION aSDH occurs infrequently. Simultaneous presence of both aSDH and aSAH from an aneurysmal source is associated with poor outcomes. Surgical treatment is associated with lower rates of unfavorable outcomes including death and severe disability.

Abstract
Pure acute subdural hematomas (ASDHs) due to ruptured aneurysms without subarachnoid or intracerebral hemorrhage are rare. We report the case of a 26-year-old female who presented with a pure ASDH caused by a ruptured distal anterior cerebral artery (ACA). The patient complained of sudden headache and vomiting and was transferred to our hospital. On the ambulance journey to the hospital, her consciousness level decreased suddenly just after experiencing additional pain in the head. At admission, the consciousness level was 4 points on the Glasgow coma scale with bilateral pupil dilatation. Computed tomography (CT) and CT angiography showed a left ASDH without subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and a distal ACA aneurysm. Emergent hematoma evacuation was performed, but SAH and the bleeding point were not observed. Therefore, coil embolization for the distal ACA aneurysm was performed after an emergent operation. During embolization, intraoperative rupture was observed. The contrast media was seen up to the convexity subdural space along the falx. Extravasation ceased after intraaneurysmal coil embolization. Consequently, the rupture of the distal ACA aneurysm was diagnosed as the cause of the pure ASDH. The patient received additional coil embolization due to recanalization of the aneurysm without rebleeding 44 days after admission and was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital 55 days after admission to our hospital with a score of 4 on the modified ranking scale. From the reviews of 56 patients from 32 studies, including our case, we determine that an ACA aneurysm could show the distant hematomas located far from the site of a ruptured aneurysm compared with a ruptured aneurysm located in the internal carotid and middle cerebral arteries. Distant hematoma location could also lead to delayed diagnosis of aneurysms and lead to rebleeding and poor outcomes. Aneurysm rupture diagnoses should receive special attention, especially for ACA aneurysms, as the hematoma may be located far from the rupture site.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TC) is a well-known complication of subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH), often accompanied by neurogenic myocardial dysfunction. Although TC has been reported to be associated with higher morbidity and mortality among patients with aneurysmal SAH (aSAH), some patients have been reported to recover, the profiles and follow-up outcomes of these survivors remain unclear. MATERIALS AND METHODS To characterize the profiles of patients with aSAH complicated by TC who experienced favourable outcomes using long-term follow-up data, a consecutive series of patients with aSAH were enrolled and TC diagnosis was based on the revised version of the Mayo Clinic criteria. Clinical outcomes were assessed at 6 months according to modified Rankin Scale scores. RESULTS Among 165 consecutive patients with aSAH, 15 cases were complicated by TC, corresponding to an occurrence rate of 9.0%. Five patients with aSAH complicated by TC (33.3%) experienced a favourable outcome, and the mean value of systolic blood pressure on arrival was significantly lower than in those who experienced an unfavourable outcome (p = 0.032). CONCLUSION According to analysis, it is possible cardiac dysfunction with decreased cerebral perfusion pressure and catecholamine toxicity transiently worsens conscious disturbance in aSAH complicated by TC. Therefore, it is important to carefully screen patients with aSAH to identify those complicated by TC, and for close collaboration of the multidisciplinary team to design appropriate treatment strategies.

Abstract
Approximately 3% of intracranial aneurysm ruptures result in an associated subdural hematoma (SDH). SDH from intracranial aneurysm rupture without radiographic evidence of SAH, however, is rare. We report a case of an isolated retroclival SDH secondary to an intracranial aneurysm rupture.

Abstract
The giant aneurysm of the subclinoid portion of the internal carotid artery is a relatively rare disease that can present serious complications. We present the case of a 40-year-old guy who was suffering from a headache and had complete ophthalmoplegia in his right eye. A brain scan shows a right temporal subdural hematoma, associated with subarachnoid hemorrhage, and total Sylvian subacute ischemic stroke. CT angiography and MRI showed a ruptured and partially thrombosed aneurysm of the subclinoid portion of the right internal carotid artery complicated by subarachnoid hemorrhage, a right subdural temporal hematoma, and total Sylvian ischemic stroke. Our purpose is to recognize the possibility of an aneurysmal rupture when evaluating an acute subdural hematoma, alone or in combination with Ischemic stroke.

Abstract
RATIONALE Intracranial aneurysm with the first manifestation of acute subdural hematoma (aSDH) is rare in the field of neurosurgery. Usually subarachnoid hemorrhage or intracranial hematoma happens after the rupture of an intracranial aneurysm, whereas trauma is the primary cause of aSDH. PATIENT CONCERNS Here, we present the case of a 71-year-old woman who presented with spontaneous aSDH with progressive headache and vomiting. DIAGNOSIS Urgent head computed tomography (CT) identified an aSHD, but the patient had no history of trauma. CT angiography (CTA) identified the cause of the aSDH as rupture of an intracranial aneurysm in the left middle cerebral artery. INTERVENTIONS Emergent craniotomy with hematoma evacuation was performed. OUTCOMES Due to prompt diagnosis and appropriate intervention, the patient recovered fully with no disability. LESSONS This unique case demonstrates that aSDH caused by intracranial aneurysm rupture requires timely identification and appropriate action to prevent adverse outcomes. We performed a comprehensive systematic literature review to examine the etiology and pathogenesis of non-traumatic aSDH. Furthermore, digital subtraction angiography should be considered in patients diagnosed with an aSDH with no known cause.

Abstract
There are a number of hereditary and non-hereditary central nervous system (CNS) disorders, which directly or indirectly affect the heart (brain-heart disorders). The most well-known of these CNS disorders are epilepsy, stroke, infectious or immunological encephalitis/meningitis, migraine, and traumatic brain injury. In addition, a number of hereditary and non-hereditary neurodegenerative disorders may impair cardiac functions. Affection of the heart may manifest not only as arrhythmias, myocardial infarction, autonomic impairment, systolic dysfunction/heart failure, arterial hypertension, or pulmonary hypertension, but also as stress cardiomyopathy (Takotsubo syndrome, TTS). CNS disease triggering TTS includes subarachnoid bleeding, epilepsy, ischemic stroke, intracerebral bleeding, migraine, encephalitis, traumatic brain injury, PRES syndrome, or ALS. Usually, TTS is acutely precipitated by stress triggered by various different events. TTS is one of the cardiac abnormalities most frequently induced by CNS disorders. Appropriate management of TTS from CNS disorders is essential to improve the outcome of affected patients.
