Abstract
The imidazole nucleus represents a significant group of heterocyclic molecules with diverse significance in the modern world due to its exploration potential and various pharmacological applications. The relevance of imidazole and its derivatives has gained popularity in recent years, especially in the production of commercial drugs and the treatment of various conditions. The imidazole nucleus is present in many natural compounds and widely distributed in essential amino acids, such as l-histidine, whose derivatives exhibit powerful pharmacological properties. In this review, we delve into the historical timeline and development of synthetic pathways for tri- and tetra-substituted imidazoles used in the renowned Radziszewski reaction. Furthermore, we explore various bacteriological applications documented in the literature, as well as current advances in preclinical approaches to imidazole-based drug discovery. Tri- or tetra-substituted imidazole derivatives show strong potential for new synthesis methods, such as reflux or microwave, as well as various biological activities.

Abstract
Copper(II)/polyimide-linked covalent organic frameworks under solvent-free and microwave-assisted conditions have been used in an efficient one-pot protocol for the preparation of 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazoles via benzil, aromatic aldehydes and ammonium acetate. By applying solvent-free conditions and microwave irradiation, three-component condensation provides safe operations, low pollution, quick access to products, and an easy set-up. As a result of its reusability, the catalyst can also be reutilized for many runs without missing any activity.

Abstract
A chromium-containing metal-organic framework (MOF), MIL-101 (Chromium(III) benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate), was used to catalyze the one pot, three component synthesis of some 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazoles under solvent-free conditions. The advantages of using this heterogeneous catalyst include short reaction time, high yields, easy and quick isolation of catalyst and products, low amount of catalyst needed, and that the addition of solvent, salt, and additives are not needed. This catalyst is highly efficient and can be recovered at least 5 times with a slight loss of efficiency. The structure of the metal-organic frameworks (MOF) was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (HNMR) were performed to confirm some of the synthesized products. Experimental data indicated that the optimum amount of catalyst was 5 mg for benzil (1 mmol), 4-chlorobenzaldehyde (1 mmol), and ammonium acetate (2.5 mmol), and the synthetic route to the various imidazoles is performed in 10 min by 95% yield, an acceptable result rivalling those of other catalysts.

Abstract
BACKGROUND SO3H-functionalized zeolite-Y was prepared and used as a catalyst for the synthesis of 2-aryl-N-benzimidazole-4-thiazolidinones and tri-substituted imidazoles at ambient conditions. OBJECTIVE The goals of this catalytic method include excellent yields and high purity, inexpensive procedure and ease of product isolation, the use of nontoxic and heterogeneous acid catalyst, shorter reaction times and milder conditions. MATERIALS AND METHODS NMR spectra were recorded on Brucker spectrophotometer using Me4Si as internal standard. Mass spectra were recorded on an Agilent Technology 5975C VL MSD with tripe-axis detector. FTIR spectra were obtained with KBr disc on a galaxy series FT-IR 5000 spectrometer. The surface morphology of nanostructures was analyzed by FE-SEM (EVO LS 10, Zeiss, Carl Zeiss, Germany). BET analysis were measured at 196 °C by a Japan Belsorb II system after the samples were vacuum dried at 150°C overnight. RESULTS The NSZ was characterized by FT-IR, FESEM, EDX, XRF, and BET. The catalytic activity of NSZ was investigated for synthesis of 1,3-tiazolidin-4-ones in H2O/Acetone at room temperature. Moreover, NSZ was used for synthesis of tri-substituted imidazoles at 60 °C via solvent-free condensation. Different kinds of aromatic aldehydes were converted to the corresponding of products with good to excellent yields. CONCLUSION Sulfonated zeolite-Y was as an efficient catalyst for the preparation of N-benzimidazole-2-aryl-1,3- thiazolidin-4-ones and 2,4,5-triaryl-1H-imidazoles. High reaction rates, elimination toxic solvent, simple experimental procedure and reusability of the catalyst are the important features of this protocol.

Abstract
Graphene-based carbocatalysts owing to numerous amazing properties such as large specific surface area, high intrinsic mobility, excellent thermal and electrical conductivities, chemical stability, ease of functionalization, simple method of preparation, effortless recovery and recyclability have gained a superior position amongst the conventional homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts. In this review, an endeavor has been made to highlight the syntheses of diverse heterocyclic compounds catalyzed by graphene-based catalysts. Further, the study also reveals that all the catalysts could be reused several times without significant loss in their catalytic activity. Additionally, most of the reactions catalyzed by graphene-based carbocatalysts were carried out at ambient temperature and under solvent-free conditions. Thus, the graphene-based catalysts do not merely act as efficient catalysts but also serve as sustainable, green catalysts. This review is divided into various sub-sections, each of which comprehensively describes the preparation of a particular heterocyclic scaffold catalyzed by graphene-derived carbocatalyst in addition to synthesis of graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide, functionalization, and structural features governing their catalytic properties. Synthesis of heterocycles catalyzed by graphene-based carbocatalysts.

Abstract
Aim: Due to their effective binding affinity to receptors which are responsible for various diseases, benzimidazoles are often bioactive. Present study intended and carried out to synthesis, characterize and develop benzimidazole-based antiulcer drugs. Materials & methods: Established 8a–l were evaluated for gastric antisecretory/antiulcer properties using freshly prepared H+-K+-ATPase from goat fundus mucosa. Molecular docking was carried out to unveil best binding affinities with H+-K+-ATPase (protein data bank ID: 2XZB). Results: The obtained least inhibitory constant of 8a–l (18–92 nM) was comparable to the in vitro H+-K+-ATPase inhibition (IC50: 24–122 nM). Furthermore, the lethal effect of 8a–l to colon cancerous cells and nonharm effect to the normal cells was recognized through cytotoxicity studies. Conclusion: After all in silico, in vitro experimental and structure–activity relationship predictions, the antiulcer druggability potential of 8a–l was recognized. A future drug development study for the most potent compounds among 8a–l is strongly indorsed.
