Abstract
The aim of the study is to identify clinical signs of neurilemmoma of the upper limb, its main ultrasound and X-ray distinctions from other benign tumors of soft tissues. To make a preliminary diagnosis, it is advisable to use different methods of imaging, such as: ultrasound, MRI, radiography. Radiological diagnosis of soft tissue tumors should be based on the integrated use of radiological and ultrasound methods with mandatory consideration of clinical and anamnestic data such as patient age, topographic location of the tumor and its growth rate. Although ultrasound and MRI do not allow to completely differentiate the tumor, but they help to choose the right tactics of the patient. Treatment is to remove the tumor and includes cesium dissection and removal from the nerve bundle, using magnification.

Abstract
Neisseria meningitidis, a common cause of sepsis and bacterial meningitis, infects the meninges and central nervous system (CNS), primarily via paracellular traversal across the blood-brain barrier (BBB) or blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier. N. meningitidis is often present asymptomatically in the nasopharynx, and the nerves extending between the nasal cavity and the brain constitute an alternative route by which the meningococci may reach the CNS. To date, the cellular mechanisms involved in nerve infection are not fully understood. Peripheral nerve glial cells are phagocytic and are capable of eliminating microorganisms, but some pathogens may be able to overcome this protection mechanism and instead infect the glia, causing cell death or pathology. Here, we show that N. meningitidis readily infects trigeminal Schwann cells (the glial cells of the trigeminal nerve) in vitro in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional cell cultures. Infection of trigeminal Schwann cells may be one mechanism by which N. meningitidis is able to invade the CNS. Infection of the cells led to multinucleation and the appearance of atypical nuclei, with the presence of horseshoe nuclei and the budding of nuclei increasing over time. Using sequential window acquisition of all theoretical mass spectra (SWATH-MS) proteomics followed by bioinformatics pathway analysis, we showed that N. meningitidis induced protein alterations in the glia that were associated with altered intercellular signaling, cell-cell interactions, and cellular movement. The analysis also suggested that the alterations in protein levels were consistent with changes occurring in cancer. Thus, infection of the trigeminal nerve by N. meningitidis may have ongoing adverse effects on the biology of Schwann cells, which may lead to pathology.

Abstract
Neurilemmomas constitute one of the most common tumors of peripheral nerves. Rarer amongst them is their occurrence in median nerve in the region of arm. A sixteen-year-old female presented with painless mass in right arm which was non-tender on palpation with positive Tinel's sign and no motor or sensory deficit in the affected arm. Ultrasound examination revealed an eccentrically arising mass of size 19 × 11 mm along median nerve. MRI study revealed a mass homogenously isointense on T1 weighted images and hyperintense in T2 weighted images placed eccentrically in relation to median nerve in arm. Excisional biopsy under loupe magnification was carried out which revealed the mass to be neurilemmoma. This slowly growing benign tumor of peripheral nerves with an incidence of 5% with 14% involvement of Median nerve can be enucleated from the nerve with little or no damage. In spite of advanced imaging studies the mass cannot be differentiated preoperatively from another peripheral nerve sheath tumor neurofibroma. Both these tumors although bearing some clinical and imaging resemblance carry different intraoperative findings, histopathological features and post-operative results.
