Abstract
In this work, graphene oxide-based tablets (GO-Tabs) were prepared by applying a thin layer of functionalized GO on a polyethylene substrate. The GO was functionalized with amine groups (-NH2 ) by poly(ethylene glycol)bis(3-aminopropyl) terminated (GO-NH2 -PEG-NH2 ). The functionalized GO-Tabs were used for the extraction of ritonavir (RTV) in human saliva samples. RTV in plasma and saliva samples was analyzed using LC-MS/MS. Gradient LC system with MS/MS in the positive-ion mode [electrospray ionization (ESI+)] was used. The transitions m/z 721 → 269.0 and m/z 614 → 421 were used for RTV and the internal standard indinavir, respectively. This study determined the human immunodeficiency virus protease inhibitor RTV in human saliva samples using functionalized GO-Tab and LC-MS/MS, and the method was validated. The standard calibration curve for plasma and saliva samples was constructed from 5.0 to 2000 nmol L-1 . The limit of detection was 0.1 nmol L-1 , and the limit of quantification was 5.0 nmol L-1 in both plasma and saliva matrices. The intra- and inter-assay precision values were found to be between 1.5 and 5.8%, and the accuracy values ranged from 88.0 to 108% utilizing saliva and plasma samples. The extraction recovery was more than 80%, and the presented functionalized GO-Tabs could be reused for more than 10 extractions without deterioration in recovery.

Abstract
The coated direct inlet probe (CDIP) is a new laboratory-made low-cost technology developed from a direct inlet probe (DIP), which has the advantage of quick enrichment/cleanup of an analyte from liquid samples. A capillary probe is coated with hydroxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (OH-PDMS), divinylbenzene (DVB), and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) by a sol-gel method. This probe can be directly coupled with a commercialized atmospheric-pressure chemical ionization (APCI) ion source and high-resolution mass spectrometry, which are widely applicable, reliable, and durable. The ability to perform quantitative analyses with the use of a stable-isotope-labeled internal standard (SIL-IS) was tested by using different concentrations of acenaphthylene (ACY), acenaphthene (ACP), fluorene (FLR), fluoranthene (FLT), phenanthrene (PHE), and benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P). Calibration curves with a coefficient of determination of R2 ≥ 0.9982 for different polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were obtained. A limit of detection (LOD) of 0.008-0.04 ng mL-1 for PAHs was determined. The entire workflow is solvent-free and can be completed in less than 5 min, which demonstrates the advantages of this technique for quantitative analysis.

Abstract
In this study, an environmentally friendly and low-cost biosorbent coating was evaluated, for the first time, as the extraction phase for solid-phase microextraction (SPME) supported on a nitinol alloy. The characterization of the new fiber was performed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The applicability of the biosorbent-based fiber in the determination of δ-hexachlorocyclohexane, aldrin, heptachlor epoxide, α-endosulfan, endrin and 4,4'-DDD in water samples was verified, with separation/detection by gas chromatography coupled to electron capture detection (GC-ECD). The influencing parameters (temperature, extraction time and ionic strength) were optimized simultaneously using a central composite design. The optimum conditions were: extraction time of 80min at 80°C and sodium chloride concentration of 15% (w/v). Satisfactory analytical performance was achieved with limits of detection (LOD) between 0.19 and 0.71ngL-1 and limits of quantification (LOQ) between 0.65 and 2.38ngL-1. The relative recoveries for the analytes were determined using river and lake water samples spiked at different concentrations and ranged from 60% for α-endosulfan to 113% for δ-hexachlorocyclohexane, with relative standard deviations (RSD) lower than 21%. The fiber-to-fiber reproducibility (n=3) was also evaluated and the RSD was lower than 14%. The extraction efficiency obtained for the proposed biosorbent coating was compared to a commercially available DVB/Car/PDMS coating. The proposed fiber provided very promising results, including LODs at the level of parts per trillion and highly satisfactory thermal and mechanical stability.
