Abstract
Introduction Breast cancer is an extremely common and potentially fatal illness that impacts millions of women worldwide. Multiple criteria and inclinations must be taken into account when selecting the optimal treatment option for each patient. Methods The selection of breast cancer treatments can be modeled as a multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problem, in which a group of experts evaluate and rank alternative treatments based on multiple attributes. MAGDM methods can aid in enhancing the quality and efficacy of breast cancer treatment selection decisions. For this purpose, we introduce the concept of a 2-tuple linguistic interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (2TLIVq-ROFS), a new development in fuzzy set theory that incorporates the characteristics of interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (IVq-ROFS) and 2-tuple linguistic terms. It can express the quantitative and qualitative aspects of uncertain information, as well as the decision-makers' level of satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Results Then, the 2TLIVq-ROF weighted average (2TLIVq-ROFWA) operator and the 2TLIVq-ROF weighted geometric (2TLIVq-ROFWJ) operator are introduced as two new aggregation operators. In addition, the multi-attribute border approximation area comparison (MABAC) method is extended to solve the MAGDM problem with 2TLIVq-ROF information. Discussion To demonstrate the efficacy and applicability of the suggested model, a case study of selecting the optimal breast cancer treatment is presented. The results of the computations show that the suggested MAGDM model is able to handle imprecision and subjectivity in complicated decision-making scenarios and opens new research scenarios for scholars.

Decision analysis with IDOCRIW-QUALIFLEX approach in the 2TL q-ROF environment: An application of accident prediction models in Pakistan. Heliyon 2024; 10:e27669. Abstract
In Pakistan, the assessment of road safety measures within road safety management systems is commonly seen as the most deficient part. Accident prediction models are essential for road authorities, road designers, and road safety specialists. These models facilitate the examination of safety concerns, the identification of safety improvements, and the projection of the potential impact of these modifications in terms of collision reduction. In the context described above, the goal of this paper is to utilize the 2-tuple linguistic q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (2TLq-ROFS), a new and useful decision tool with a strong ability to address uncertain or imprecise information in practical decision-making processes. In addition, for dealing with the multi-attribute group decision-making problems in road safety management, this paper proposes a new 2TLq-ROF integrated determination of objective criteria weights (IDOCRIW)-the qualitative flexible multiple criteria (QUALIFLEX) decision analysis method with a weighted power average (WPA) operator based on the 2TLq-ROF numbers. The IDOCRIW method is used to calculate the weight of attributes and the QUALIFLEX method is used to rank the options. To show the viability and superiority of the proposed approach, we also perform a case study on the evaluation of accident prediction models in road safety management. Finally, the results of the experiments and comparisons with existing methods are used to explain the benefits and superiority of the suggested approach. The findings of this study show that the proposed approach is more practical and compatible with other existing approaches.

Abstract
This study explores how to enhance the decision-making processes in the phases of idea generation or alternative selection during the new product development (NPD) process. NPD is acknowledged as the central function of businesses in an increasingly competitive marketplace. In the current era, the highly uncertain and rapidly changing market environment makes the NPD extremely vague and complex. To be able to find a suitable solution to this complexity, the proposed research aims to categorize the decision points in the process of NPD regarding software development and identify the fuzziness elements affecting the process. The goal of a decision-making process is to prioritize several alternatives with respect to some required objectives and to select the best among them. Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) may support reaching a consensus judgment with the collective assessment of Decision Makers (DMs). We introduce a novel evaluation approach for this problem. The proposed approach employs a MULTIMOORA (Multi-objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis plus the Full Multiplicative Form) MCDM technique under Pythagorean Fuzzy Sets (PFSs) objective world environment to cope with an ambiguous environment using Group Decision Making (GDM) setting to shape the decisions. The PFSs have demonstrated their advantages in dealing with vagueness and uncertainty over crisp, fuzzy, or intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Therefore, PFSs can represent the DMs' judgments and preferences in a better structure, ensuring enhanced decision-making in a group consensus. A case study on gaming software and app development is presented to validate the functionality of the proposed method. The results are compared and assessed with the help of a sensitivity analysis. This research makes a real contribution to the literature by proposing a novel evaluation method to rate and select NPD (gaming software and apps) to deal with the inexactness and vagueness associated with the criteria and alternatives.

Abstract
To deal with situations involving uncertainty, Fermatean fuzzy sets are more effective than Pythagorean fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, and fuzzy sets. Applications for fuzzy similarity measures can be found in a wide range of fields, including clustering analysis, classification issues, medical diagnosis, etc. The computation of the weights of the criteria in a multi-criteria decision-making problem heavily relies on fuzzy entropy measurements. In this paper, we employ t-conorms to suggest various Fermatean fuzzy similarity measures. We have also discussed all of their interesting characteristics. Using the suggested similarity measurements, we have created some new entropy measures for Fermatean fuzzy sets. By using numerical comparison and linguistic hedging, we have established the superiority of the suggested similarity metrics and entropy measures over the existing measures in the Fermatean fuzzy environment. The usefulness of the proposed Fermatean fuzzy similarity measurements is shown by pattern analysis. Last but not least, a novel multi-attribute decision-making approach is described that tackles a significant flaw in the order preference by similarity to the ideal solution, a conventional approach to decision-making, in a Fermatean fuzzy environment.

Abstract
The selection of an appropriate mining method is considered as an important tool in the mining design process. The adoption of a mining method can be regarded as a complex multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problem as it may contain uncertainty and vagueness. The main goal of this paper is to propose an extended multi-objective optimization ratio analysis plus full multiplication form (MULTIMOORA) method that is based on a 2-tuple spherical fuzzy linguistic set (2TSFLS). The MULTIMOORA method under 2TSFL conditinos has been developled as a novel approach to deal with uncertainty in decision-making problems. The proposed work shows that 2TSFLSs contain collaborated features of spherical fuzzy sets (SFSs) and 2-tuple linguistic term sets (2TLTSs) and, hence, can be considered as a rapid and efficient tool to represent the experts' judgments. Thus, the broader structure of SFSs, the ability of 2TLTSs to represent linguistic assessments, and the efficiency of the MULTIMOORA approach have motivated us to present this work. To attain our desired results, we built a normalized Hamming distance measure and score function for 2TSFLSs. We demonstrate the applicability and realism of the proposed method with the help of a numerical example, that is, the selection of a suitable mining method for the Kaiyang phosphate mine. Then, the results of the proposed work are compared with the results of existing methods to better reflect the strength and effectiveness of the proposed work. Finally, we conclude that the proposed MULTIMOORA method within a 2TSFLS framework is quite efficient and comprehensive to deal with the arising MAGDM problems.

Abstract
The need for multi-attribute decision-making brings more and more complexity, and this type of decision-making extends to an ever wider range of areas of life. A recent model that captures many components of decision-making frameworks is the complex $ q $-rung picture fuzzy set (C$ q $-RPFS), a generalization of complex fuzzy sets and $ q $-rung picture fuzzy sets. From a different standpoint, linguistic terms are very useful to evaluate qualitative information without specialized knowledge. Inspired by the ease of use of the linguistic evaluations by means of 2-tuple linguistic term sets, and the broad scope of applications of C$ q $-RPFSs, in this paper we introduce the novel structure called 2-tuple linguistic complex $ q $-rung picture fuzzy sets (2TLC$ q $-RPFSs). We argue that this model prevails to represent the two-dimensional information over the boundary of C$ q $-RPFSs, thanks to the additional features of 2-tuple linguistic terms. Subsequently, some 2TLC$ q $-RPF aggregation operators are proposed. Fundamental cases include the 2TLC$ q $-RPF weighted averaging/geometric operators. Other sophisticated aggregation operators that we propose are based on the Hamacher operator. In addition, we investigate some essential properties of the new operators. These tools are the building blocks of a multi-attribute decision making strategy for problems posed in the 2TLC$ q $-RPFS setting. Furthermore, a numerical instance that selects an optimal machine is given to guarantee the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed approach. Finally, we conduct a comparison with other existing approaches.
