Abstract
HYPOTHESIS Dimensionally stable electroactive films displaying spatially addressed redox sites is still a challenging goal due to gel-like structure. Polyelectrolyte and surfactants can yield highly mesostructured films using simple buildup strategies as layer-by-layer. The use of redox modified surfactants is expected to introduce order and an electroactive response in thin films. EXPERIMENTS The assembly of polyacrylic acid and different combinations of redox-modified and unmodified hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide yields highly structured and electroactive thin films. The growth, viscoelastic properties, mass, and electron transport of these films were studied by combining electrochemical and quartz crystal balance with dissipation experiments. FINDINGS Our results show that the films are highly rigid and poorly hydrated. The mass and charge transport reveal that the ingress (egress) of the counter ions during the electrochemical oxidation (reduction) is accompanied with a small amount of water, which is close to their hydration sphere. Thus, the generated mesostructured films present an efficient charge transport with negligible changes in their structures during the electron transfer process. The control over the meso-organization and its stability represents a promising tool in the construction of devices where the vectorial transfer of electrons, or ions, is required.

Abstract
Background::
new and selective electrochemical sensor was developed for the determination
of levocetirizine dihydrochloride, which is an antihistaminic drug.
Method::
The investigation was performed by using cyclic, differential pulse and square wave voltammetric
methods on the β-cyclodextrin modified glassy carbon electrode. It is thereby planned to obtain
information about levocetirizine determination and its mechanism.
Result::
The efficiency of experimental parameters including pH, scan rate, and accumulation potential
and time on the anodic response of levocetirizine dihydrochloride was studied. By employing the developed
method and under optimized conditions, the current showed linear dependence with a concentration
in the range between 2 × 10-8 M and 6 × 10-6 M in pH 2.0 Britton Robinson (BR) buffer.
Conclusion::
The achieved limits of detection and quantification were found as 3.73 × 10-10 M and
1.24 × 10-9 M, respectively. In addition, the possibility of applying the developed sensor for real sample
analysis was investigated, so β-cyclodextrin modified glassy carbon electrode was used to determine
levocetirizine dihydrochloride in Xyzal® tablet dosage form. Finally, this sensor was successfully applied
to the real sample as a selective, simple, reproducible, repeatable electrochemical sensor.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In several years ago, infection with human papillomaviruses (HPVs), have been prevalent in the worlds especially HPV type 18, can lead to cervical cancer. Therefore, rapid, accurate, and early diagnosis of HPV for successful treatment is essential. The present study describes the development of a selective and sensitive electrochemical biosensor base on DNA, for early detection of HPV-18. For this purpose, a nanocomposite of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were electrodeposited on a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE). Then, Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) were dropped on a modified SPCE. Subsequently, single strand DNA (ssDNA) probe was immobilized on the modified electrode. The link attached between AuNPs and probe ssDNA provided by L-cysteine via functionalizing AuNPs (Cys-AuNPs). The differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) assay was also used to electrochemical measurement. The measurement was based on the oxidation signals of anthraquninone-2-sulfonic acid monohydrate sodium salt (AQMS) before and after hybridization between the probe and target DNA. RESULTS The calibration curve showed a linear range between 0.01 fM to 0.01 nM with a limit of detection 0.05 fM. The results showed that the optimum concentration for DNA probe was 5 µM. The good performance of the proposed biosensor was achieved through hybridization of DNA probe-modified SPCE with extracted DNA from clinical samples. CONCLUSIONS According to the investigated results, this biosensor can be introduced as a proprietary, accurate, sensitive, and rapid diagnostic method of HPV 18 in the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) of real samples.

Abstract
The aim of this work was voltammetric determination of 1-aminopyrene and 1-hydroxypyrene using carbon paste electrodes modified with cyclodextrin derivatives and double stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (dsDNA). The detection schemes based on a preconcentration and differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) determination at beta-cyclodextrin and gamma-cyclodextrin modified carbon paste electrode (beta-CD/CPE, gamma-CD/CPE), neutral beta-cyclodextrin polymer and carboxymethyl-beta-cyclodextrin polymer modified screen-printed electrode (beta-CDP/SPE, beta-CDPA/SPE) and dsDNA modified screen-printed electrode (DNA/SPE) are proposed for the trace determination of studied analytes within the concentration range from 2 x 10(-8) to 4 x 10(-7) mol dm(-3) and from 2 x 10(-7) to 4 x 10(-6) mol dm(-3) with the limits of quantification down to 10(-8) mol dm(-3). Depending on pH, 1-aminopyrene interacts with both surface attached CD and DNA by electrostatic bonds and supramolecular complexation while 1-hydroxypyrene associates with the CD hosts via complexation. The 1-aminopyrene interaction with dsDNA was confirmed by fluorimetric measurements in the solution phase using a competing DNA-TO-PRO-3 dye complex. In addition, the effect of temperature on this association was investigated using an electrically heated DNA-modified carbon paste electrode (DNA/CPE).

Abstract
The electro-controlled delivery of drugs based on the doping-dedoping mechanism of Electro-Conducting Polymers is restricted to charged substances acting as dopants. In order to overcome this limitation, this study presents an approach where the trapping/delivering is based on host-guest interaction. As an example of a neutral guest, the molecule N-methylphenothiazine (NMP) is encapsulated in the host, heptasulphonated beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CDSO3-), which is tailor-made to dope PPy. The original synthetic method for beta-CDSO3- is based on sulphonation of the periodated beta-CD in the phase transfer medium. As a consequence of their size and of their multicharged character, beta-CDSO3-s are fixed dopants. The stability of the beta-CDSO3- entrapment is checked by Optical Beam Deflection (mirage effect) measurements. The ionic movements associated with the switching of the beta-CDSO3- doped PPy (PPy+, beta-CDSO3-) film appear to be mainly due to cations with this technique. Cyclic voltammetry experiments confirm the entrapment of neutral NMP by simply dipping the PPy+, beta-CDSO3- film in a CH3CN solution containing NMP. Repeated electrochemical cycling of such a reservoir electrode indicates the progressive elimination of NMP from the (PPy+, beta-CDSO3- [NMP]) film.
