Abstract
The granulomatous cheilitis (GC) presents a heterogeneous group of disorders characterised by a granulomatous inflammation/reaction of the lips to various stimuli. Numerous etiologies have been proposed, including genetic, immunologic, allergic and infectious. Among the secondary causes of GC, an infection by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MBT) should be considered. In such cases, the GC could be the clinical presentation of a tuberculid resulting from a hypersensitivity reaction to an underlying focus of active (ATBI) or latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI). This communication describes an immunocompetent patient diagnosed with GC resulting from tuberculid, who responded well to Isoniazid monotherapy.

Abstract
Miescher’s cheilitis, also known as cheilitis granulomatosa, is an infrequent disease characterized by chronic recurrent swelling of one lip or both lips. It is considered as one of the three main symptoms of the triad of the Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome, although in many cases it may develop monosymptomatically. The initial management is based on the administration of corticoids, followed in many cases by the use of other systemic treatments. Nevertheless, because recurrence is quite frequent, surgery remains in many cases as the only definitive treatment. In this report we present the case of a Caucasian woman with Miescher’s cheilitis who was successfully surgically managed.

Abstract
Granulomatous cheilitis, characterized by persistent inflammation of the lips and a granulomatous histology, is sometimes associated with Crohn's disease and is a therapeutic challenge. Reported evidence indicates treatment with an anti-TNF agent (mainly infliximab) is the most recommended therapeutic option after failure of conventional treatments. The clinical case reported the effectiveness of ustekinumab, a monoclonal antibody against interleukins 12/23, to induce the remission of severe and recurrent granulomatous cheilitis in a patient with Crohn's disease.

Abstract
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is primarily a disease of the gastrointestinal tract, though it can often affect other organ systems. These extraintestinal manifestations occur in a quarter to one-third of patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. While musculoskeletal and dermatologic manifestations are the most common, it is also important to be cognizant of head, eye, ear, nose, and throat (HEENT) manifestations and educate IBD patients about them. Here we review the ocular manifestations in conjunction with the lesser-known but increasingly recognized ENT manifestations. Considering the lack of randomized controlled trials in treating HEENT manifestations of IBD, this review is primarily based on case reports, case series, and expert opinion with a particular focus on the newer literature supporting use of anti-TNF agents.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Cheilitis granulomatosa causes persistent idiopathic lip swelling and ulceration and it can sometimes be recognized as a unique or early manifestation of Crohn's disease. Spontaneous remission is rare and with the lack of controlled trials, different therapeutic approaches have been used. Some cases have been treated with an exclusion diet in the attempt to rule out diet allergens, while the most popular treatments include antibiotics such as tetracycline and clofazimine tranilast, benzocaine topical or intralesional steroids, and cheiloplasty, with different outcomes. CASE PRESENTATION We describe the case of a 23-year-old Caucasian man, primarily diagnosed with cheilitis granulomatosa for a severe lower lip swelling, and then with Crohn's disease of the terminal ileum and anus. Treatment of Crohn's disease with an anti-tumor necrosis factor alpha agent (infliximab) successfully induced remission of both the gastrointestinal disease and the oral lesion. CONCLUSIONS Our recommendation is that physicians should be able to recognize cheilitis granulomatosa as a possible marker of a more complex systemic disease and proceed first with an accurate physical examination, and further suggest investigations of the bowel. In cases of Crohn's disease, a therapy with biological agents can be successful.

Abstract
CONCLUSION When patients with recurrent facial paralysis are encountered, otolaryngologists should check for fissured tongue, and question those patients about orofacial edema, minor symptoms, and family history. Histologic evidence is not necessary for the diagnosis of Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome (MRS), while coronary high-resolution CT (HRCT) reconstruction of temporal bone and food allergen detection may be beneficial. Prophylactic decompression of the facial nerve for patients with appropriate electrophysiological indication may prevent further facial palsy attacks. OBJECTIVES The objective of this study was to analyze the clinical features of a group of patients with MRS with major complaints of facial palsy treated at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, and to comment on MRS from the perspective of otolaryngologists. METHODS A retrospective review of patient database for the last 6 years in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in Beijing Shijitan Hospital was performed to find patients diagnosed with MRS. RESULTS A total of 44 MRS patients were included in this study. The mean age at onset was 14.1 years. A total of 13 (29.5%) patients had family history, 17 (38.6%) revealed broadened fallopian canal on coronary HRCT reconstruction of temporal bone, and 20/23 (87.0%) patients showed positive results in food allergen detection. Thirty-one patients accepted subtotal facial nerve decompression and only one patient had facial palsy recurrence on the same side as the operation.
