Using artistic activities within experiential psychotherapy to alleviate the psychological consequences of female infertility

Comprehensive Health Evaluation Model of Art Psychotherapy Using Genetic Algorithm

In order to explore the real effect of art mental health therapy, this paper proposes a feature selection algorithm based on genetic algorithm. The algorithm takes college students as the research object and discusses the effect of psychotherapy on college students through painting art therapy. The results showed that there were extremely significant differences in EPQ extraversion factors among the people treated with the educational intervention of art psychology course (P < 0.01), and there was no significant change in other factors (P > 0.05). There was no significant change in total depression score and depression index (P > 0.05). There were significant differences in social avoidance factors and social anxiety (P < 0.05), and there were relatively significant differences in the total score of sadness (P < 0.01). It is concluded that the use of artistic elements can effectively help people express themselves and express their psychological emotions, which has a certain effect in mental health treatment.

Personality and Sport Experience of 20-29-Year-Old Polish Male Professional Athletes

More and more research reports assert that sport experience has an influence on shaping the personality of athletes. This paper aims at validating the connection between personality and sport experience. The research subject of were young Polish male athletes (N = 1,260) aged 20-29, out of 42 sports disciplines, with sport experience ranging from 3 to 12 years. In order to test the personality of the research subjects, a five-factor model of personality called the Big Five was applied. Statistical calculations and analyses were carried out with ver. 25 of the IBM SPSS Statistics software. The research has shown that all personality traits correlate in a statistically significant way with sport experience (p < 0.001): there is a negative correlation of sports experience with neuroticism and a positive correlation with traits such as extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Thus, we have identified a relationship between sport experience and personality traits of the researched Polish male athletes-the longer the sport experience, the lower level of neuroticism and higher levels of extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Duration of sport experience has a considerable influence on forming the personality of Polish male athletes. However, the interpretation of just the results regarding high level of extraversion and conscientiousness distinguishes Polish male athletes (20-29 years old) from the Polish male population of non-training people.

The Effect of Psychoeducation on Self-Efficacy and Motivation for Taking Treatment in Breast Cancer Patients (Ca Mammae)

Introduction: Besides being a physiological problem, breast cancer is also a psychological problem. Breast cancer patients are prone to   anxiety, depression, stress, fear, and other psychological problems. Prolonged psychological problems that are not resolved lead to impaired self-confidence and motivation to undergo treatment, which has a negative impact on health. Psychoeducation as a psychological therapy as well as providing education is used as a therapy that aims to overcome the psychological problems of breast cancer patients.Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental research design. The population in this study was breast cancer patients (ca mammae) at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekardjo Purwokerto. The sample of this study was 50 respondents obtained with purposive sampling technique. The independent variable of this study is psychoeducation and the dependent variables are self-efficacy and motivation. Data were collected using a general self-efficacy questionnaire and intrinsic motivation inventory as well as an observation sheet. Data were analyzed using the Paired T-Test and Independent Test statistical tests with a level of significance 𝛼≤0.05.Results: There was an effect of psychoeducation to self-efficacy and motivation (p= 0.000; p=0.000.Conclusion: This study shows that psychoeducation affects self-efficacy and motivation to undergo treatment in breast cancer patients (ca mammae). Psychoeducation provides information related to breast cancer and stress management methods so that it can increase self-efficacy and motivation to undergo treatment for breast cancer patients.
