Abstract
The main subject of this research is the development of a suitable, efficient, and biocompatible carbon nanofiber-based catalytic system for the synthesis of coumarin and 1,2,4,5-tetra-substituted imidazoles. Brønsted acid carbon nanofiber/taurine catalyst was made during three steps: acid treatment, acylation, and then amination. The basic principles and general advantages of the synthesis method are elaborated. The acidity of the prepared nano-catalyst was investigated using the Hammet acidity technique and UV-Vis spectroscopy, and the H0 value for 5 × 10-2 mg/mL of CNF/T in 0.3 mM 4-nitroaniline solution was determined to be 1.47. The structure of the catalyst was successfully characterized using FT-IR, TGA, FESEM, XRD, TEM, EDX, EDS-MAP, BET, and XPS techniques. Here, we report the ability of carbon nanofiber/taurine as a Brønsted acid catalyst for the synthesis of coumarins and 1,2,4,5-tetra-substituted imidazole through a metal-free, cost-effective, and biocompatible multicomponent route. Among the advantages of this protocol are reaction time, excellent efficiency, reusability, and high activity of the catalyst.

Abstract
A MoS2-supported-calix[4]arene (MoS2-CA4) nanocatalyst was used for efficient synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazole derivatives from 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-(4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)ethane-1,2-dione, aldehydes and ammonium acetate under solvent-free conditions. Reusability of the catalyst up to five cycles without any significant loss in the yields of the product is the unique feature of this heterogeneous solid catalysis. Furthermore, the noteworthy highlights of this method are safe reaction profiles, broad substrate scope, excellent yields, economical, solvent-free, and simple workup conditions. All synthesized compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antitubercular (TB) activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) H37Rv. Among the screened compounds 3c, 3d, 3f, 3m, and 3r had MIC values of 2.15, 2.78, 5.75, 1.36, and 0.75 μM, respectively, and exhibited more potency than the reference drugs pyrazinamide (MIC: 3.12 μM), ciprofloxacin (MIC: 4.73 μM), and ethambutol (7.61 μM). Besides, potent compounds (3c, 3d, 3f, 3m, and 3r) have been tested for inhibition of MabA (β-ketoacyl-ACP reductase) enzyme and cytotoxic activity against mammalian Vero cell line. A molecular docking study was carried out on the MabA (PDB ID: 1UZN) enzyme to predict the interactions of the synthesized compounds. The results of the in vitro anti-TB activity and docking study showed that synthesized compounds have a strong anti-TB activity and can be adapted and produced more effectively as a lead compound.

Abstract
An effective process for the green and rapid synthesis of biologically active polysubstituted pyrroles and 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazoles derivatives using Cu@imine/Fe3O4 MNPs catalyst under solvent-free conditions is explained. This catalyst showed high reactivity for the synthesis of a set of different derivatives of polysubstituted pyrroles and 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazole derivatives under appropriate reaction conditions and short times. Moreover, the catalyst was also recycled and reused for six runs with no considerable reduction in reactivity and yields. Compared to the reported procedures, this method consistently demonstrates the advantages of low catalyst loading, short reaction times, easy separation and purification of the products, high yields, and high recoverability and recoverability of the catalyst. So the use of Fe3O4@SiO2–ZrCl2-MNPs leads to an improved protocol in terms of the compatibility with the environment, yields of the products, reaction times and the amount of the catalyst when compared with other catalysts.![]()
