Abstract
The objective of this investigation was to design the selection and ranking of dental restorative composite materials using hybrid Entropy-VIKOR as the MCDM method. Eleven performance defining attributes (PDAs) of dental composites were considered to investigate the best formulation among the dental composites. The weight criteria of various PDAs of the dental composite were calculated by the Entropy method: PDA-1(0.0527), PDA-2 (0.0113), PDA-3(0.1692), PDA-4(0.1291), PDA-5(0.0207), etc. The VIKOR method was employed to demonstrate the rank of dental composites. As per the VIKOR method, the first rank was obtained by DHZ6, the second rank was by DHZ8, the third rank was by DHZ4, the fourth rank was by DHZ2, and the lowest rank was by DHZ0. The Hybrid Entropy-VIKOR method holds significance in the biomedical realm due to its capability to effectively address complex decision-making scenarios. Its ability to account for multiple criteria, uncertainties, and compromise solutions makes it particularly useful for enhancing decision-making processes in the biomedical field, where selecting the most suitable options is critical for patient outcomes and healthcare advancements.

Abstract
This paper presents an extension of the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method with objective criteria weights for Group Decision Making (GDM) with Interval Numbers (INs). The proposed method is an alternative to popular and often used methods that aggregate the decision matrices provided by the decision makers (DMs) into a single group matrix, which is the basis for determining objective criteria weights and ranking the alternatives. It does not use an aggregation operator, but a transformation of the decision matrices into criteria matrices, in the case of determining objective criteria weights, and into alternative matrices, in the case of the ranking of alternatives. This ensures that all the decision makers’ evaluations are taken into account instead of their certain average. The numerical example shows the ease of use of the proposed method, which can be implemented into common data analysis software such as Excel.

Abstract
In general, the present value (PV) concept is ambiguous. Therefore, behavioural factors may influence on the PV evaluation. The main aim of our paper is to propose some method of soft computing PV evaluated under the impact of behavioural factors. The starting point for our discussion is the notion of the Behavioural PV (BPV) defined as an imprecisely real-valued function of distinguished variables which can be evaluated using objective financial knowledge or subjective behavioural premises. In our paper, a BPV is supplemented with a forecast of the asset price closest to changes. Such BPV is called the oriented BPV (O-BPV). We propose to evaluate an O-BPV by oriented fuzzy numbers which are more useful for portfolio analysis than fuzzy numbers. This fact determines the significance of the research described in this article. O-BPV may be applied as input signal for systems supporting invest-making. We consider here six cases of O-BPV: overvalued asset with the prediction of a rise in its price, overvalued asset with the prediction of a fall in its price, undervalued asset with the prediction of a rise in its price, undervalued asset with the prediction of a fall in its price, fully valued asset with the prediction of a rise in its rice and fully valued asset with the prediction of a fall in its rice. All our considerations are illustrated by numerical examples. Presented examples show the way in which we transform superposition of objective market knowledge and subjective investment opinion into simple return rate.

Abstract
The subtraction of fuzzy numbers (FNs) is not an inverse operator to FNs addition. The family of all oriented FNs (OFNs) may be considered as symmetrical closure of all the FNs family in that the subtraction is an inverse operation to addition. An imprecise present value is modelled by a trapezoidal oriented FN (TrOFN). Then, the expected discount factor (EDF) is a TrOFFN too. This factor may be applied as a premise for invest-making. Proposed decision strategies are dependent on a comparison of an oriented fuzzy profit index and the specific profitability threshold. This way we get an investment recommendation described as a fuzzy subset on the fixed rating scale. Risk premium measure is a special case of profit index. Further in the paper, the Sharpe’s ratio, the Jensen’s ratio, the Treynor’s ratio, the Sortino’s ratio, Roy’s criterion and the Modiglianis’ coefficient are generalised for the case when an EDF is given as a TrOFN. In this way, we get many different imprecise recommendations. For this reason, an imprecise recommendation management module is described. Obtained results show that the proposed theory can be used as a theoretical background for financial robo-advisers. All theoretical considerations are illustrated by means of a simple empirical case study.

Abstract
Traditionally, the footwear industry is labor intensive, and cost control is key to ensuring shoe companies can be competitive. The development of Industry 4.0 concepts, used in high-tech industries and blockchain production information systems, enables the creation of smart factories with online alarm management systems, to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce human resource requirements. In this paper, the performances of the causal association assessment model and the technique for order preference by similarity to the ideal solution (TOPSIS) model in evaluating large data blockchain technologies and quality online real-time early warning systems for production and raw material supplier management are compared, to increase the intelligence of production and to manage product traceability.

Abstract
In the case of many complex, real-world decision problems solved with the participation of a group of experts, it is important to capture the uncertainty of opinions and preferences expressed. In such situations, one can use many modifications of the technique for order preference by similarity to the ideal solution (TOPSIS) method, for example, based on fuzzy numbers. In fuzzy TOPSIS, two aggregation methods of fuzzy expert opinions dominate, the first based on the average value technique and the second one extended by the minimum and maximum functions for determining the support of the aggregated fuzzy number. An important disadvantage of both techniques is the fact that the agreement degree of expert opinions is not taken into account. This article proposes the inclusion of the modified procedure for aggregating individual expert opinions, taking into account the degree of agreement of their opinions (called the similarity aggregation method—SAM) and the ranking of experts into the fuzzy TOPSIS method. The fuzzy TOPSIS method extended in this way was used to solve the decision problem of recruiting employees by a group of experts. As part of the solution, the modified SAM was compared with aggregation procedures based on the average value and min-max (minimum and maximum) support. The results of the conducted research indicate that SAM allows fuzzy numbers to be obtained, characterized by less imprecision and greater stability than the other two considered aggregation procedures.

Abstract
It is an undeniable fact that material handling systems aim at supplying the right materials at the right locations at the right time. This fact creates the need for the design of logistic-train-fleet-oriented, distributed and scalability-robust control policies ensuring deadlock-free operations. The paper presents a solution to a multi-item and multi-depot vehicle routing and scheduling problem subject to fuzzy pick-up and delivery transportation time constraints. Since this type of problem can be treated as a fuzzy constraint satisfaction problem, a solution to it can be determined using both computer simulation and analytical ordered-fuzzy-numbers-driven calculations. The accuracy of both approaches is verified based on the results of multiple simulations. In this context, our contribution consists of proposing an alternative approach that allows avoiding time-consuming computer simulation-based calculations of logistic train fleet schedules.

Abstract
The ordered fuzzy number (OFN) is determined as an ordered pair of fuzzy number (FN) and its orientation. FN is widely interpreted as imprecise number approximating real number. We interpret any OFN as an imprecise number equipped with additional information about the location of the approximated number. This additional information is given as orientation of OFN. The main goal of this paper is to determine the relation “greater than or equal to” on the space of all OFNs. This relation is unambiguously defined as an extension of analogous relations on the space of all FN. All properties of the introduced relation are investigated on the basis of the revised OFNs’ theory. It is shown here that this relation is a fuzzy one. The relations “greater than” and “equal to” also are considered. It is proven that the introduced relations are independent on the orientation of the compared OFNs. This result makes it easier to solve optimization tasks using OFNs.

Abstract
In this paper, the model of imprecise quantity information is an ordered fuzzy number. The purpose of our study is to propose some methods of approximating any ordered fuzzy number using a trapezoidal ordered fuzzy number. The information ambiguity is evaluated by means of an energy measure. The information indistinctness is evaluated by Kosko’s entropy measure. We discuss the problem of approximation of an arbitrary ordered fuzzy number by the nearest trapezoidal ordered fuzzy number. This way, we can simplify arithmetical operations on the linear space of ordered fuzzy numbers. The set of feasible trapezoidal ordered numbers is limited by the combination of the following conditions: invariance of energy measure, invariance of entropy measure, and invariance of information support. Evaluating the influence of individual limits combinations on the utility of given approximations, two combinations of those restraints, recommended for use, were chosen. It was also indicated that one of the recommended approximation problems can be used only for ordered fuzzy numbers characterized by a low level of entropy. The obtained results are currently used in such multi-criterial decision making models as financial portfolio management, evaluation of negotiations offers, the fuzzy TOPSIS model, and the fuzzy SAW model.

Abstract
In this study, we construct a theoretical model for strategic knowledge management in the circular agribusiness industry. Previous studies lack an analysis of strategic knowledge management and sets of measures. Hence, this study applies the fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (known as fuzzy TOPSIS), and utilizes the interrelationship weights as a parameter to justify the weights and address important attributes. The results demonstrate that strategic knowledge management improves a firm’s competitive advantages through high-level management support. The theoretical and managerial implications are that high-level management support, firm performance, and knowledge management process cycles are the most important strategic knowledge management aspects for improving a firm’s performance in circular agribusiness.
