Abstract
IMPORTANCE Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) can affect patient health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Appropriate information may improve their adherence to treatment and quality of life. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the change in patient's perceptions of the level of information at lanreotide (LAN) treatment initiation for GEP-NETs vs after 6 months. DESIGN OPERA (NCT03562091) was a prospective, longitudinal, noninterventional study. SETTING Thirty-one centers in France specialized in the management of patients with NETs. INTERVENTION Planned clinical visits at enrollment and end-of-study visits at month 6, with completion of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer 25-item Quality of Life Questionnaire-Information Module (QLQ-INFO25) and 30-item Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core. MAIN OUTCOME Absolute change in the patient's perception of the information between baseline and month 6, using the relevant domains of the QLQ-INFO25. Endpoints measured at baseline and month 6 for at least 1 of the 3 targeted QLQ-INFO25 dimensions of the primary endpoint. RESULTS Ninety-three of the 115 patients enrolled completed ≥1 primary endpoint information dimension. Mean (SD) scores for the primary endpoint information dimensions were high at baseline (disease, 63.41 [20.71]; treatment, 58.85 [19.00]; supportive care, 26.53 [24.69]; maximum 100). There were no significant changes between baseline (98.34% CI) and 6 months (disease, -2.84 [-8.69, 3.01; P = .24]; treatment, -4.37 [-11.26, 2.52; P = .13]; supportive care, 0.46 [-6.78, 7.70; P = .88]), and in HRQoL between baseline and 6 months. CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE The lack of change in patient's perceptions of the disease, treatment, and supportive care information provided over the first 6 months of LAN treatment may suggest that physicians provided adequate information at the treatment initiation.

Abstract
Survivors of advanced breast cancer (ABC), also known as metavivors, are often left with fewer treatment options in the landscape of a cure culture. Metavivors have unique psychosocial and physical needs distinct from patients with early-stage breast cancer. This analysis delves into side effects commonly experienced by patients with ABC, such as fatigue, anxiety, and cardiotoxicity; how these side effects impact caregiver support, financial toxicity, emotional strain, and spiritual and emotional distress; as well as current strategies for mitigation, including nutrition, exercise, and participation in clinical research. Overall, this analysis is a mandate for additional research to explore novel treatments and implement strategies to maintain and improve patients’ quality of life.

Abstract
Introduction Metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients have several unmet needs. The needs and quality of life of MBC women living in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) are understudied. Facilitating the interaction of various caregivers is beneficial in addressing the needs. Internet-based resources play an important role in reaching out to these patients. We aimed to bring the various stakeholders into a joint network force, create a web-based portal, understand the needs of MBC patients, and assess the utilization of web-based resources for women from Kenya. Methods A network of various stakeholders considered crucial in the care of Kenyan women with MBC was created. We conducted educational camps and assessed their needs, quality of life (QoL), and knowledge. We assessed the impact of utilizing web-based resources by MBC patients from here. Results We formed a network involving partners and launched the first dedicated website for MBC from Kenya. The website has received 13,944 visits and 310,379 hits in 2 years. One hundred fourteen women living with MBC were interviewed, and our findings show that psychological needs (63%), physical support needs (60%), and health care system needs (55%) are leading areas of needs that increase with rural residence (p = 0.001), less education (p = 0.003), and aggressive treatments (p = 0.008). Quality of life (QoL) confirmed better scores with urban residence (p = 0.002), internet access (p = 0.010), and stable disease (p = 0.042). Conclusions Creating a network of caregivers provides opportunities for cohesive efforts in understanding the psychosocial and medical needs of patients with MBC. Internet-based resources are an effective way of reaching out to them. Kenyan patients show extremely good uptake of internet-based resources. Abstract
AIMS To describe and synthesize diverse empirical evidence regarding physical activity (PA) in the context of advanced breast cancer (ABC). DESIGN Integrative review guided by the work of Whittemore and Knafl (2005). DATA SOURCES Six electronic databases were systematically searched to identify relevant literature published between January 2007-June 2019. REVIEW METHODS Abstracts of papers that met the inclusion criteria were reviewed by two researchers and full texts of eligible papers were assessed. Data were extracted by two independent researchers and inter-rater reliability of data extraction established. Quality of papers was evaluated using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool. Data were organized according to comprehensive thematic analysis and the biobehavioural model for the study of exercise interventions. RESULTS Of the 532 abstracts, 18 studies met the inclusion criteria which included six randomized controlled trials, one quantitative non-randomized study, seven quantitative descriptive studies, three mixed method studies and one qualitative study. Results from studies enrolled fell into four domains: PA performance and its influence on survival; barriers and preferences for PA; interventions to enhance PA; perceived benefits of PA from qualitative feedback. CONCLUSION Evidence suggests that ABC patients are physically inactive. Main barriers of PA are less aerobic fitness and heavy symptom burden. Simple, tailored and specialist-supervised PA is preferred by ABC patients. Form of joint self-instructed and group accompanying is advocated as well. PA intervention programmes identified in this review vary on type, intensity, duration and frequency, while generally, are found to be feasible, safe and beneficial to patients' physical and psychosocial well-being. IMPACT The results propose tailored, supervised, group-based PA programmes are in urgent need for ABC patients. Clinical professionals should manage more feasible and safer PA interventions to help improve patients' overall health. More research with rigorous methodology design is warranted to explore PA's effect on long-term health outcomes.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The health information needs, information source preferences and engagement behaviours of women with metastatic breast cancer (mBC) depend on personal characteristics such as education level, prior knowledge, clinical complications, comorbidities and where they are in the cancer journey. A thorough understanding of the information behaviours of women living with mBC is essential to the provision of optimal care. A preliminary literature review suggests that there is little research on this topic, but that there may be lessons from a slightly broader literature. This review will identify what is known and what is not known about the health information needs, acquisition and influences of women with mBC across the care continuum. Findings will help to identify research needs and specific areas where in-depth systematic reviews may be feasible, as well as inform evidence-based interventions to address the health information needs of female patients with mBC with different demographics and characteristics and across the mBC journey. METHODS AND ANALYSIS A scoping review will be performed using the guidelines of Arksey and O'Malley as updated by subsequent authors to systematically search scientific and grey literature for articles in English that discuss the health information needs, source preferences, engagement styles, and associated personal and medical attributes of women ≥18 years living with mBC at different stages of the disease course. A variety of databases (including Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), PubMed, Excerpta Medica Database (EMBASE), Academic Search Premier, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, PsycINFO, Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition, and PQDT Open), oncology, patient advocacy and governmental websites will be searched from inception to present day. Research and non-research literature will be included; no study designs will be excluded. The six-stage Arksey and O'Malley scoping review methodological framework involves: (1) identifying the research question; (2) searching for relevant studies; (3) selecting studies; (4) charting the data; (5) collating, summarising and reporting the results; and (6) consulting with stakeholders to inform or validate study findings (optional). Data will be extracted and analysed using a thematic chart and descriptive content analysis. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION Being a secondary analysis, this research will not require ethics approval. Results will be disseminated through patient support organisations and websites and publications targeting healthcare professionals, advocates and patients.
