Abstract
PURPOSE Despite the increasing number of childhood cancer survivors, significant advances in ovarian tissue cryopreservation (OTC) technique and medical societies' recommendations, fertility preservation (FP) and FP discussions are not always offered as a standard of care in the pediatric context. The aim of this literature review is to understand what ethical, legal, social, and policy issues may influence the provision of FP by OTC in prepubertal girls with cancer. METHODS A critical interpretive review of peer-reviewed papers published between 2000 and January 2023 was conducted, guided by the McDougall's version of the critical interpretive synthesis (Dixon-Woods), to capture recurring concepts, principles, and arguments regarding FP by OTC for prepubertal girls. RESULTS Of 931 potentially relevant papers, 162 were included in our analysis. Data were grouped into seven thematic categories: (1) risks of the procedure, (2) unique decision-making issues in pediatric oncofertility, (3) counseling, (4) cultural and cost issues, and (5) disposition of cryopreserved reproductive tissue. CONCLUSION This first literature review focusing on ethical, legal, social, and policy issues surrounding OTC in prepubertal girls highlights concerns in the oncofertility debate. Although OTC is no longer experimental as of December 2019, these issues could limit its availability and the child's future reproductive autonomy. This review concludes that specific actions must be provided to enable the offer of FP, such as supporting families' decision-making in this unique and complex context, and providing pediatric patients universal and full access to free or highly subsidized OTC.

Abstract
Correlations were reported between sperm telomere length (STL) and male fertility, sperm DNA fragmentation, and oxidation. Sperm freezing is widely used for assisted reproductive techniques, fertility preservation, and sperm donation. However, its impact on STL remains unknown. For this study, semen surplus from patients who underwent routine semen analysis were used. The impact of slow freezing on STL was analyzed by performing qPCR before and after freezing. Sperm populations with different STL were evaluated using Q-FISH. The relationship between sperm DNA oxidation, DNA fragmentation, and STL was assessed in fresh and frozen sperm samples. No significant impact of slow freezing on STL was observed, neither measured by qPCR nor Q-FISH. However, Q-FISH allowed for the distinguishing of sperm populations with different STLs within individual sperm samples. Slow freezing induced different STL distributions for some of the analyzed sperm samples, but no correlation was found between STL and sperm DNA fragmentation or oxidation. Slow freezing does not alter STL despite increasing sperm DNA oxidation and fragmentation. As STL alterations could be transmitted to offspring, the lack of impact of the slow freezing method on STL ensures the safety of this procedure.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Granulosa tumor is a rare tumor that arises from the mesenchyme and the sexual cord of the ovary. The prognosis is generally excellent, and treatment is mainly based on surgery, followed by chemotherapy depending on the extension of the disease. However, “the obstetrical prognosis” is compromised.
Case presentation
We report the case of a 32-year-old Caucasian patient who was diagnosed during a primary infertility assessment with an ultrasound image of a 39 mm organic left ovarian cyst confirmed on pelvic magnetic resonance imaging with infiltration of the uterosacral space. Tumor markers, including cancer antigen 125, alpha fetoprotein, and β-human chorionic gonadotropin, were normal. Histological study of biopsies of the ovarian lesion taken during exploratory laparoscopy confirmed the diagnosis of adult granulosa tumor. After a normal extension assessment including a thoracoabdominopelvic computed tomography scan and a positron emission tomography scan, the patient underwent complete conservative surgery and the disease was classified as stage Ic. Three cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy according to the “BEP” protocol combining bleomycin, etoposide, and cisplatin were performed after oocyte cryopreservation. After a 5-year follow-up period, the patient had no sign of tumor progression and had two spontaneous pregnancies, the first occurring 3 months after the end of chemotherapy and the second 14 months later.
Conclusion
Granulosa cell tumor remains a rare tumor whose management considerably compromises fertility and reduces the chances of having a spontaneous pregnancy. The particularity of our observation is that the diagnosis of the granulosa tumor was made following a primary infertility assessment and that the patient had two spontaneous pregnancies 3 months after the end of a medico-surgical treatment known to be very gonadotoxic.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Progress in oncology has improved patient survival. However, cancer chemotherapy can be gonadotoxic and affect their fertility. Recourse to fertility preservation before starting these treatments is therefore necessary in order to allow a better life quality after survival. The aim of this work was to study the impact of chemotherapy on ovarian reserve by AMH measurement. METHODS This is a descriptive and longitudinal study from 2015 to 2018 carried out at Aziza Othmana hospital ART center in Tunis on patient aged less than 41 years who were candidates for fertility preservation. Patients included had AMH measurement prior to cancer treatment. We called them back to follow up the AMH level after chemotherapy. The AMH assay was performed by electrochemilumiescence technique. At the end, only 66 patients met the inclusion criteria. RESULTS The most frequent pathologies were Hodgkin's lymphoma and breast cancer. The mean age of patients was 26.7 ± 6.8. The most used chemotherapy protocols were BEACOPP, ABVD or the combination of both in lymphoma and FEC + TXT for breast cancer treatment. A significant difference between AMH before and after chemotherapy was found for BEACOPP and FEC + TXT protocols (p < 10 3). The patient's age was correlated with the AMH decrease after chemotherapy (r = 0.577, p < 10 3). CONCLUSION Our results showed that the high risk gonadotoxicity protocols were BEACOPP for lymphoma treatment and FEC + TXT for breast cancer treatment. However, studies with a larger sample and more time extended monitoring are necessary for a better gonadotoxicity understanding of the cancer treatments available today.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The children and adolescents with cancer who are getting remission and becoming long-term survivals are at high risk of impaired fertility. Cyclophosphamide (CP), the most frequently used drug for childhood-cancers causes various types of reproductive toxicity. We aimed at evaluating protective role of chlorophytum borivillianum (CB) extract against pre-pubertal CP exposure-induced testicular toxicity in rats. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sixty male pre-pubertal SD rats aged postnatal day (PND) 24 were divided into 5 groups. Group-I (control), group-II (CP), and group-III (CB) received normal saline (NS), CP15mg/kg/day and CB200mg/kg/day respectively during PND29-42; group-IV and group-V received CB100mg/kg/day and CB200mg/kg/day respectively along with CP15mg/kg/day for the same period. Half of the rats from each group were sacrificed on PND43 (puberty) to evaluate alterations in oxidative stress parameters and histopathology. Remaining rats were sacrificed on PND63 (young adult age) and sperm analysis (density, motility, viability, and morphology), hormonal (Testosterone, Luteinizing hormone, Follicle stimulating hormone) estimation and histomorphometrical evaluation was done. Co-administration of CB have shown a dose-dependent and significant improvement in anomalies caused by CP as compared to rats received CP only. RESULTS CP treatment led to significant decrease in body weight gain, organ weights, oxidative defense mechanisms, hormone levels, steroidogenesis, spermatogenesis, sperm parameters and increase in oxidative stress, percentage of sperm abnormal morphology as compared to control rats. CP-treated rats have shown severe damage in testicular architecture and development as compared to control rats as evidenced by histopathology and morphometric analysis. CONCLUSION Co-administration of CB extract significantly reversed the footprints of these effects in dose-dependent manner. These protective effects of CB may be exploited in improving gonadal function in childhood cancer long-term survivals.

Abstract
Aim The interest in oocyte cryopreservation (OC) for nonmedically indicated reasons is increasing. Knowing women's beliefs and knowledge from various geographic regions could help providers to understand the similarities and differences that could facilitate proper counseling. Materials & methods Articles about social egg freezing published over the past 18 years were extracted from the literature. Results We demonstrated that there are common rationales toward OC among women in the USA and other countries. The ultimate goal was to prolong fertility. The most commonly reported reasons were aging, lack of partner, career and financial status. Conclusion The beliefs and rationales toward elective OC among women in the USA and other countries are consistent.
