Abstract
Thulium vanadate (TmVO4) nanorods were successfully prepared by a simple sonochemical approach using Schiff-base ligands. Additionally, TmVO4 nanorods were employed as a photocatalyst. The most optimal crystal structure and morphology of TmVO4 have been determined and optimized by varying Schiff-base ligands, the molar ratio of H2Salen, the sonication time and power, and the calcination time. A Eriochrome Black T (EBT) analysis revealed that the specific surface area was 24.91 m2/g. A bandgap of 2.3 eV was determined by diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) spectroscopy, which makes this compound suitable for visible photocatalytic applications. In order to assess the photocatalytic performance under visible light, two anionic dyes (EBT) and cationic dyes (Methyl Violet (MV)) were used as models. A variety of factors have been studied in order to improve the efficiency of the photocatalytic reaction, including dye type, pH, dye concentration, and catalyst loading. Under visible light, the highest efficiency was achieved (97.7%) when 45 mg TmVO4 nanocatalysts were present in 10 ppm Eriochorome Black T at pH = 10.

Abstract
In this study, we synthesized CeVO4/ZnO nanoheterojunction photocatalyst through hydrothermal-precipitation method. The prepared photocatalyst was characterized by Fourier transform infrared analysis (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) with elemental color mapping (ECM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) with selected area electron diffraction (SAED) pattern, UV-vis diffuse reflection spectroscopy (UV-vis-DRS), BET, and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The BET surface area of CeVO4/ZnO is 10.50 m2/g. The photocatalytic activity of CeVO4/ZnO nanoheterojunction under solar light was investigated for the degradation of Reactive Orange 4 (RO 4). CeVO4/ZnO has been found to be more effective for mineralization of RO 4 than the prepared ZnO at neutral pH. The addition of TBA (•OH scavenger) contributes a significant decrease in the photodegradation efficiently of the catalyst. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) measurements confirmed the complete mineralization of RO 4. In addition, it found that the photocatalyst was stable and reusable. Graphical abstract.

Abstract
The paper proposes a new approach to Schiff-base ligand assisted sonochemical synthesis of iron vanadate. In this disquisition, we tried to comparing various factors and reaction condition on morphology, size and uniformity of as-obtained samples. Some parameters including Schiff-base capping agent (Bis(acetylacetone) ethylenediamine=H2acacen), electrolyte (NH4F), solvent and reaction time were investigated to reach optimum condition. XRD, FT-IR, EDS, SEM and TEM were used in order to determine purity and structural morphology of as-synthesized products. Also, we explore the possibility of coupling vanadium pantaoxide into iron vanadate that improves optical properties and photocatalytic activity. With this in mind, FeVO4/V2O5 nanocomposite was prepared via in-situ ultrasound-assisted procedure by using NH4F in one step. Influence of different parameters such as type of dye (Rhodamine B=Rh B, Phenol red=Ph R and Methyl violet=MV) and light source (Ultraviolet and visible) on photocatalytic ability of samples were studied.

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to provide a review on the usage of different anchoring media (supports) for immobilising commonly employed photocatalysts for degradation of organic pollutants. The immobilisation of nano-sized photocatalysts can eliminate costly and impractical post-treatment recovery of spent photocatalysts in largescale operations. Some commonly employed immobilisation aids such as glass, carbonaceous substances, zeolites, clay and ceramics, polymers, cellulosic materials and metallic agents that have been previously discussed by various research groups have been reviewed. The study revealed that factors such as high durability, ease of availability, low density, chemical inertness and mechanical stability are primary factors responsible for the selection of suitable supports for catalysts. Common techniques for immobilisation namely, dip coating, cold plasma discharge, polymer assisted hydrothermal decomposition, RF magnetron sputtering, photoetching, solvent casting, electrophoretic deposition and spray pyrolysis have been discussed in detail. Finally, some common techniques adopted for the characterisation of the catalyst particles and their uses are also discussed.
