Abstract
Data science is assuming a pivotal role in guiding reaction optimization and streamlining experimental workloads in the evolving landscape of synthetic chemistry. A discipline-wide goal is the development of workflows that integrate computational chemistry and data science tools with high-throughput experimentation as it provides experimentalists the ability to maximize success in expensive synthetic campaigns. Here, we report an end-to-end data-driven process to effectively predict how structural features of coupling partners and ligands affect Cu-catalyzed C-N coupling reactions. The established workflow underscores the limitations posed by substrates and ligands while also providing a systematic ligand prediction tool that uses probability to assess when a ligand will be successful. This platform is strategically designed to confront the intrinsic unpredictability frequently encountered in synthetic reaction deployment.

Abstract
The "borrowing hydrogen" (BH) approach for the N-alkylation of phenylenediamines using alcohols as coupling partners is highly challenging due to the selectivity issue of the generated products. Furthermore, the development of base-metal systems that can potentially substitute precious metals with competitive activity is a major challenge in BH catalysis. We present herein an efficient protocol for the N,N'-di-alkylation of aromatic diamines using an in situ-generated Ni-NHC complex from NiCl2 and the ligand L1, which gave access to a wide range of N,N'-di-alkylated orthophenylene diamines (rather than the generally observed benzimidazole derivatives), meta- and para-phenylene diamines along with 2,6-diamino pyridine derivatives in good to excellent yields. Moreover, the catalyst system was also successful in the derivatization of a clinically important drug molecule, Dapsone. Notably, the present protocol could be applied effectively to synthesize unsymmetrically substituted N,N'-di-alkylated diamines via sequential alkylation and is the first report in the base-metal system to the best of our knowledge. Diverse control experiments including the deuterium incorporation studies suggest that the present protocol proceeds via a BH sequence.

Abstract
Any catalyst should be efficient and stable to be implemented in practice. This requirement is particularly valid for manganese hydrogenation catalysts. While representing a more sustainable alternative to conventional noble metal-based systems, manganese hydrogenation catalysts are prone to degrade under catalytic conditions once operation temperatures are high. Herein, we report a highly efficient Mn(I)-CNP pre-catalyst which gives rise to the excellent productivity (TOF° up to 41 000 h-1) and stability (TON up to 200 000) in hydrogenation catalysis. This system enables near-quantitative hydrogenation of ketones, imines, aldehydes and formate esters at the catalyst loadings as low as 5-200 p.p.m. Our analysis points to the crucial role of the catalyst activation step for the catalytic performance and stability of the system. While conventional activation employing alkoxide bases can ultimately provide catalytically competent species under hydrogen atmosphere, activation of Mn(I) pre-catalyst with hydride donor promoters, e.g. KHBEt3, dramatically improves catalytic performance of the system and eliminates induction times associated with slow catalyst activation.

Abstract
Herein, we report the first example of synthesis of N-substituted lactams via an acceptorless dehydrogenative coupling of diols with primary amines in one step, which was enabled by combining Ru3(CO)12 with a hybrid N-heterocyclic carbene-phosphine-phosphine ligand as the catalyst.

Abstract
We have successfully incorporated iron species into mesoporous aluminosilicates (Al-SBA-15) using a simple mechanochemical milling method. The catalysts were characterized by nitrogen physisorption, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), pyridine (PY) and 2,6-dimethylpyridine (DMPY) pulse chromatography titration, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX). The catalysts were tested in the N-alkylation reaction of aniline with benzyl alcohol for imine production. According to the results, the iron sources, acidity of catalyst and reaction conditions were important factors influencing the reaction. The catalyst showed excellent catalytic performance, achieving 97% of aniline conversion and 96% of imine selectivity under optimized conditions.

Abstract
The synthesis of pyridine alcohol based ruthenium carbonyl clusters Ru3(hep)2(CO)8 (1), Ru3(hpp)2(CO)8 (2), and Ru3(bhmp-H)2(CO)8 (3) {hep-H = 2-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyridine, hpp-H = 2-(3-hydroxypropyl)pyridine and bhmp-H2 = 2,6-bis(hydroxymethyl)pyridine} has been carried out by the reaction of the corresponding pyridine-alcohol ligands with Ru3(CO)12. Clusters 1-3 have been characterized using elemental analysis, NMR, FT-IR, mass spectrometry and single-crystal X-ray structures. The clusters were explored for the selective catalytic transformation of primary amines into secondary amines using alcohols as the mono-alkylating agents via hydrogen transfer reactions. All three display efficient catalytic activity with 1 being the most effective.
