Abstract
Tautomerization of C2H2 at half-sandwich compound Cp*Fe(1,2-Cy2PC6H4S) exclusively produces an iron ethenylidene, Cp*Fe(=C=CH2)(1,2-Cy2PC6H4S) (2). Protonation of the ethenylidene causes nucleophilic attack of the Cα by sulfur, affording a sulfur-tethered carbene complex, [Cp*Fe=C(CH3)SC6H4PCy2]+ (3+). This Fischer-type carbene complex undergoes an unusual isomerization by migrating a hydrogen atom from the β-CH3 group to the α-C, leading to the formation of an olefin complex [Cp*Fe(η4-CH=CH2SC6H4PCy2]+ (4+). Compound 2 also displays diverse redox reactivities. It transforms to a neutral acetylide ferric complex (5) when reacting with free radical scavengers and to a cationic vinyl complex [Cp*Fe(η3-C(=CH2)SC6H4PCy2]+ (6+) upon 1e- oxidation. The interconversion between the vinyl and acetylide complexes can be realized through protonation/deprotonation reactions.

Abstract
N-heterocyclic carbenes are of central importance in many domains of chemistry such as organometallic, catalysis and bioinorganic. Their great importance is due to their ability to act as ligands with a large number of transition metals. These Metal-NHCs are used as catalysts in various organic transformations with good biological properties. A wide range of Metals - NHC has been found to be useful as a catalyst in various reactions using Ru, Pd, Ir, Au and Ag. This review examines the different classes of Metal - NHCs and their applications as effective catalysts in several types of organic processes, for example the formation of amide linkage, hydrogenation, isomerization, cycloisomerization, cyclopropanation, hydrosilylation, allylation and desallylation, enol-ester synthesis, heterocycle synthesis, C - C alkyne coupling.

Abstract
With their mechanistic novelty and various modalities of reactivity, transition metal unsaturated carbene (alkenylidene) complexes have emerged as versatile intermediates for new reaction discovery. In particular, the past decade has witnessed remarkable advances in the chemistry of metal vinylidenes and allenylidenes, leading to the evolution of a diverse array of new catalytic transformations that are mechanistically distinct from those developed in the previous two decades. This review aims to provide a survey of the recent achievements in the development of organic reactions that make use of transition metal alkenylidenes as catalytic intermediates and their applications to organic synthesis.

Abstract
The catalytic activity of iron(II) complexes with functionalized amine-pyrazolyl tripodal ligands toward dimerization of terminal alkynes in the presence a base (KO t Bu or NaO t Bu) has been studied. An unusual E/Z selectivity of the reaction determined by tert-butoxide was observed.

Abstract
The chemistry and reactivity of ethyne-1,2-diyl compounds, LnM–CC–MLn, is reviewed. These complexes are simple analogues of organic alkynes, or dimetalloalkynes, and there appears to be no general route to the preparation of these complexes, except perhaps using acid/base methodology. Reactivity patterns, in general, mimic those of simple organic alkynes but have the added dimension of reactive M–C(sp) bonds that sometimes participate in the formation of multimetallic compounds with metal electrophiles.

Abstract
My sojourn from classical physical-organic chemistry and solvolysis to self-assembly and supramolecular chemistry, over the last forty years, is described. My contributions to unsaturated reactive intermediates, namely vinyl cations and unsaturated carbenes, along with my decade-long involvement with polyvalent iodine chemistry, especially alkynyliodonium salts, as well as my more recent research with metal-ligand, coordination driven, and directed self-assembly of finite supramolecular ensembles are discussed.

Abstract
The activation of 1,1-diphenyl-2-propyn-1-ol by the metallic fragment [(eta (5)-C 5Me 5)Ru(dippae)] (+) {dippae = 1,2-bis[(diisopropylphosphanyl)amino]ethane}, followed by dehydration, produces a cationic complex that, by deprotonation and rearrangement, leads to a neutral complex with a phosphinoallyl ligand containing a pyrrolidin-2-yl ring.
