Abstract
In the work, Bi2WO6/C-TiO2 photocatalyst was successfully synthesized for the first time by loading narrow bandgap semiconductor Bi2WO6 on MOF-derived carboxyl modified TiO2. The phase structure, morphology, photoelectric properties, surface chemical states and photocatalytic performance of the prepared photocatalysts were systematically investigated using various characterization tools. The degradation efficiency of oxytetracycline by 6BT Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst under visible light could reach 93.6 % within 100 min, which was related to the high light harvesting and effective separation and transfer of photo-generated carriers. Furthermore, the effects of various environmental factors in actual wastewater were further investigated, and the results showed that 6BT exhibited good adaptability, durability and resistance to interference. Unlike most works, the degradation system with a different single active species were designed and constructed based on their formation mechanism. In addition, for the first time, a positive study was conducted on the priority attack sites, intermediate products, and degradation pathways for the photocatalytic degradation of oxytetracycline by a single active species through HPLC-MS and Fukui index calculations. The toxicity changes of intermediate products produced in three different single active species oxidation systems were evaluated using toxicity assessment software tools (T.E.S.T.), Escherichia coli growth experiments, and wheat growth experiments. Among them, the intermediate products formed through O2- oxidation had the lowest toxicity and the main active sites it attacked were the 20C, 38O, 18C, 41O, and 55O atoms with high f+ values in the oxytetracycline molecular structure. This work provided the insight into the role of each active species in the degradation of antibiotics and offered new ideas for the design and synthesis of efficient and eco-friendly photocatalysts.

Abstract
Photocatalytic hydrogen production is a promising technology that can generate renewable energy. However, light absorption and fast electron transfer are two main challenges that restrict the practical application of photocatalysis. Moreover, most of the composite photocatalysts that possess better photocatalytic performance are fabricated by various methods, many of which are complicated and in which, the key conditions are hard to control. Herein, we developed a simple method to prepare CdS/Cd(OH)2 samples via an in situ synthesis approach during the photocatalytic reaction process. The optimal hydrogen generation rate of CdS/Cd(OH)2 that could be obtained was 15.2 mmol·h-1·g-1, greater than that of CdS, which generates 2.6 mmol·h-1·g-1 under visible light irradiation. Meanwhile, the CdS-3 sample shows superior HER performance during recycling tests and exhibits relatively steady photocatalytic performance in the 10 h experiment. Expanded absorption of visible light, decreased recombination possibility for photo-induced carriers and a more negative conduction band position are mainly responsible for the enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance. Photo-induced electrons will be motivated to the conduction band of CdS under the irradiation of visible light and will further transfer to Cd(OH)2 to react with H+ to produce H2. The in situ-formed Cd(OH)2 could effectively facilitate the electron transfer and reduce the recombination possibility of photo-generated electron-hole pairs.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION (BARKING, ESSEX : 1987) 2023; 316:120683. Abstract
Environmental dissemination caused by widespread use of antibiotics has been regarded as a possible hazard to aquatic ecosystem and human health. The increasing misgivings make it imperative to develop a novel catalyst with remarkable visible-light-driven activity to remove antibiotics, especially for their simultaneous decontamination. Herein, C/BiOCl composites were successfully prepared by decorating BiOCl nanosheets on food wastes biochar (C) by a simple hydrolysis strategy. Not only the binary system of tetracycline antibiotics, but also the ternary mixture could be simultaneously photodegraded over 25% C/BiOCl within 15 min irradiation. The improved photocatalytic activities could be ascribed to the introduction of biochar, endowing increased surface area, enhanced separation of photo-generated charge carriers, and better light absorption. The as-prepared 25% C/BiOCl also demonstrated satisfactory stability and positive removal effect in actual water samples. The present work provides new insights into the development of biochar-based photocatalysts for simultaneous degradation of multiple antibiotics.

NANOMATERIALS (BASEL, SWITZERLAND) 2022; 12:3923. Abstract
The surfactant modification of catalyst morphology is considered as an effective method to improve photocatalytic performance. In this work, the visible-light-driven composite photocatalyst was obtained by growing CdS nanoparticles in the cubic crystal structure of CdCO3, which, after surfactant modification, led to the formation of CdCO3 elliptical spheres. This reasonable composite-structure-modification design effectively increased the specific surface area, fully exposing the catalytic-activity check point. Cd2+ from CdCO3 can enter the CdS crystal structure to generate lattice distortion and form hole traps, which productively promoted the separation and transfer of CdS photogenerated electron-hole pairs. The prepared 5-CdS/CdCO3@SDS exhibited excellent Cr(VI) photocatalytic activity with a reduction efficiency of 86.9% within 30 min, and the reduction rate was 0.0675 min-1, which was 15.57 and 14.46 times that of CdS and CdCO3, respectively. Finally, the main active substances during the reduction process, the photogenerated charge transfer pathways related to heterojunctions and the catalytic mechanism were proposed and analyzed.
