Abstract
Lactic acid bacteria are gaining global attention, especially due to their role as a probiotic. They are increasingly being used as a flavoring agent and food preservative. Besides their role in food processing, lactic acid bacteria also have a significant role in degrading insecticide residues in the environment. This review paper highlights the importance of lactic acid bacteria in degrading insecticide residues of various types, such as organochlorines, organophosphorus, synthetic pyrethroids, neonicotinoids, and diamides. The paper discusses the mechanisms employed by lactic acid bacteria to degrade these insecticides, as well as their potential applications in bioremediation. The key enzymes produced by lactic acid bacteria, such as phosphatase and esterase, play a vital role in breaking down insecticide molecules. Furthermore, the paper discusses the challenges and future directions in this field. However, more research is needed to optimize the utilization of lactic acid bacteria in insecticide residue degradation and to develop practical strategies for their implementation in real-world scenarios.

Abstract
Cyclodextrins, with their unparalleled attributes of eco-friendliness, natural abundance, versatile utility, and facile functionalization, make a paramount contribution to the field of molecular imprinting. Leveraging the unique properties of cyclodextrins in molecularly imprinted polymers synthesis has revolutionized the performance of molecularly imprinted polymers, resulting in enhanced adsorption selectivity, capacity, and rapid extraction of pesticides, while also circumventing conventional limitations. As the concern for food quality and safety continues to grow, the need for standard analytical methods to detect pesticides in food and environmental samples has become paramount. Cyclodextrins, being non-toxic and biodegradable, present an attractive option for greener reagents in imprinting polymers that can also ensure environmental safety post-application. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the significance of cyclodextrins in molecular imprinting for pesticide detection in food and environmental samples. The recent advancements in the synthesis and application of molecularly imprinted polymers using cyclodextrins have been critically analyzed. Furthermore, the current limitations have been meticulously examined, and potential opportunities for greenification with cyclodextrin applications in this field have been discussed. By harnessing the advantages of cyclodextrins in molecular imprinting, it is possible to develop highly selective and efficient methods for detecting pesticides in food and environmental samples while also addressing the challenges of sustainability and environmental impact.

Abstract
Radical-based advanced oxidation process (AOPs) has attracted great interests in wastewater treatment field. However, by the traditional radical-based method, the degradation of organic pollution is greatly suppressed when radicals react with the co-existing anions in the solution. Herein, an efficient method for degrading of contaminant under high salinity conditions is discussed through a non-radical pathway. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was employed as an electron transfer medium to facilitate the electron conversion from contaminants to potassium permanganate (PM). Based the results of quenching experiments, probe experiments, and galvanic oxidation process experiments, the degradation mechanism of CNTs/PM process was demonstrated to be electron transfer, rather than reactive intermediate Mn species. As a result, typical influencing factors including salt concentration, cations, and humic acid have less of an impact on degradation during CNTs/PM processes. In addition, the CNTs/PM system exhibits superior reusability and universality of pollutants, which has the potential to be applied as a non-radical pathway for the purification of contaminant in the large-scale high salinity wastewater treatment.

Abstract
While recognizing the gaps in pesticide regulations that impact consumer safety, public health concerns associated with pesticide contamination of foods are pointed out. The strategies and research directions proposed to prevent and/or reduce pesticide adverse effects on human health and the environment are discussed. Special attention is paid to organophosphate pesticides, as widely applied insecticides in agriculture, veterinary practices, and urban areas. Biotic and abiotic strategies for organophosphate pesticide degradation are discussed from a food safety perspective, indicating associated challenges and potential for further improvements. As food systems are endangered globally by unprecedented challenges, there is an urgent need to globally harmonize pesticide regulations and improve methodologies in the area of food safety to protect human health.

Abstract
The past 50 years have witnessed a massive expansion in the demand and application of pesticides. However, pesticides are difficult to be completely degraded without intervention hence the pesticide residue could pose a persistent threat to non-target organisms in many aspects. To aim at the problem of the abuse of pesticide products and excessive pesticide residues in the environment, chemical and biological degradation methods are widely developed but are scaled and insufficient to solve such a pollution. In recent years, bio-degradative tools instructed by synthetic biological principles have been further studied and have paved a way for pesticide degradation. Combining the customized design strategy and standardized assembly mode, the engineering bacteria for multi-dimensional degradation has become an effective tool for pesticide residue degradation. This review introduces the mechanisms and hazards of different pesticides, summarizes the methods applied in the degradation of pesticide residues, and discusses the advantages, applications, and prospects of synthetic biology in degrading pesticide residues.
