Abstract
Microplastics (MPs) act as carriers for organic pollutants (e.g. antibiotics) and microorganisms (e.g. bacteria) in waters, leading to the proliferation of antibiotic resistance genes. Moreover, the antibiotics adsorbed on MPs may exacerbate this process. For further research, it is necessary to understand the types and amounts of antibiotics adsorbed on MPs. However, due to the heavy work of MPs collection and sample pretreatment, there is a lack of analytical methods and relevant data. In this study, an in-tube solid phase microextraction (IT-SPME) on-line coupled to HPLC-MS/MS method based on amorphous precursor polymer of three-dimensional covalent organic frameworks/monolith-based composite adsorbent was developed, which could efficiently capture, enrich and analyze tetracycline (TCs) antibiotics. Under the optimal extraction parameters, the developed method was capable of detecting TCs at levels as low as 0.48-1.76 pg. This method was applied to analyze the TCs adsorbed on MPs of different particle sizes in mariculture water for the first time, requiring a minimum amount of MPs of only 1 mg. Furthermore, it was observed that there could be an antagonistic relationship between algal biofilm and TCs loaded on MPs. This approach could open up new possibilities for analyzing pollutants on MPs and support deeper research on MPs.

Abstract
Simple and rapid screening of agrochemicals greatly contributes to food and environmental safety. Matrix-free laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (LDI-MS) is an effective tool for high-throughput analysis of low-molecular-weight compounds. In this study, we report a UV-laser-absorbing organosilica film for the sensitive detection of various sulfonylurea herbicides using LDI-MS. Organosilica films with fluoroalkyl groups on the organic part are fabricated, followed by additional modification of the silica moiety with a fluoroalkyl coupling agent to cover the film surface with hydrophobic fluoroalkyl groups. Nanoimprinting is conducted to impart nanostructures on the film surface to enhance the LDI performance. The fabricated nanostructured organosilica films accomplish sensitive detection of cyclosulfamuron and azimsulfuron at concentrations as low as 1 fmol μL-1. The applicability of the nanostructured organosilica films is confirmed by the recovery of cyclosulfamuron and ethametsulfuron-methyl from pea sprouts (Pisum sativum) hydroponically grown in herbicide-spiked water at concentrations of 0.5 ppm.

Abstract
Herbicide residues in the environment threaten high-quality agriculture and human health. Consequently, in situ remediation of herbicide contamination is vital. We synthesized a novel self-catalyzed nanozyme, ultrasmall (2-3 nm) copper peroxide nanodots modified by citric acid (CP@CA) for this purpose, which can break down into H2O2 and Cu2+ in water or soil. Ubiquitous glutathione reduces Cu2+ into Cu+, which promotes the decomposition of H2O2 into •OH through a Fenton-like reaction under mild acid conditions created by the presence of citric acid. The generated •OH efficiently degrade nicosulfuron in water and soil, and the maximum degradation efficiency could be achieved at 97.58% in water at 56 min. The possible degradation mechanisms of nicosulfuron were proposed through the 25 intermediates detected. The overall ecotoxicity of the nicosulfuron system was significantly reduced after CP@CA treatment. Furthermore, CP@CA had little impact on active components of soil bacterial community. Moreover, CP@CA nanozyme could effectively remove seven other sulfonylurea herbicides from the water. In this paper, a high-efficiency method for herbicide degradation was proposed, which provides a new reference for the in situ remediation of herbicide pollution.

Abstract
An amino-functionalized magnetic covalent organic framework composite TpBD-(NH2 )2 @Fe3 O4 (Tp=Tp1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol, BD-(NH2 )2 is 3,3',4,4'-biphenyltetramine) was prepared by post-synthesis modification. Due to its abundant benzene rings and amino groups, large specific surface area and porous structure, the prepared TpBD-(NH2 )2 @Fe3 O4 exhibits high extraction efficiency toward sulfonylurea herbicides. Based on this, a new method of magnetic solid-phase extraction with TpBD-(NH2 )2 @Fe3 O4 as the sorbent combined with high-performance liquid chromatography and ultraviolet detection was developed for trace analysis of sulfonylurea herbicides in environmental water, soil and tobacco leaves samples from tobacco land. Under the optimized conditions, the limits of detection within 0.05-0.14 μg/L were achieved with a high enrichment factor of 217-260-fold, and the relative standard deviations were 4.9-7.5% (n = 7, c = 0.5 μg/L). The linear range was around three orders of magnitude with the square of correlation coefficient higher than 0.9936. The method was applied to analyze five sulfonylurea herbicides in the environmental water, soil, and tobacco leave samples collected from tobacco land. No sulfonylurea herbicides were detected in these samples. The recoveries of target sulfonylurea herbicides in spiked environmental water, soil, and tobacco leaf samples were found in the range of 90.7-104, 70.7-99.0, and 59.3-97.8%, respectively. The results illustrate that the established TpBD-(NH2 )2 @Fe3 O4 -magnetic solid-phase extraction- high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection method is efficient for the analysis of trace sulfonylurea herbicides in environmental samples.

Abstract
In this study, switchable hydrophilic solvent-based dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography was developed for the determination of four sulfonylurea herbicides in soils. For the first time, the sample pretreatment was achieved due to the similar acid-base status of sulfonylurea herbicides and switchable hydrophilic solvent. In the extraction step, sulfonylurea herbicides were extracted as anions and transferred to an alkaline solution with switchable hydrophilic solvent anions. In the concentration step, two types of anions were transformed to their molecular state after the aqueous solution was acidified. In addition, the dispersion and microextraction processes were completed efficiently with the simultaneous formation of analytes and extractants. The factors affecting the extraction performance were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, good linearity was observed for each herbicide with correlation coefficients ranging from 0.9952 to 0.9978. The limits of detection were in the range of 0.1-0.2 μg/g. Moreover, the relative recoveries of the sulfonylurea herbicides at spiking levels of 0.5, 1, and 1.5 μg/g in soil samples were between 75 and 111% (relative standard deviations: 0.4-11.4%). Therefore, the proposed method in this study could be successfully applied to the analysis of four types of sulfonylurea herbicides in soil samples.

Abstract
Magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) based on molecularly imprinted nanoparticles (MINs) has attracted wide attention in sample pretreatment because it combines the merits of high selectivity and quick extraction procedures. However, laborious, time and solvent-consuming steps were involved in the synthesis of magnetic imprinted particles in existing approaches. To circumvent this dilemma, a green and rapid "one-pot" strategy was proposed to prepare MINs. Halosulfuron-methyl (HSM) was selected as a template molecule, and Gaussian 09 simulation software was employed to screen the 2,4,6-trivinylboroxin pyridine complex (TBP) as a functional monomer. Subsequently, the fabrication was simply conducted using a hydrothermal approach by mixing self-assembly solution of TBP-HSM, Fe3+, Fe2+, dimethyl sulfoxide, and azobisisobutyronitrile in one-pot with a total reaction time of 3.0 h. Various characterized results well evidenced the successful imprint of HSM and the resultant HSM-MINs presented satisfying superparamagnetism and saturation magnetism. Under the optimized parameters, the obtained HSM-MINs displayed good recognition capability and selectivity toward HSM (recognition coefficient was 2.60), as well as a satisfactory saturation adsorption capacity (1781 μg/g). The quantification of sulfonylurea herbicides at trace levels in environmental water and soil samples was selected as a paradigm to demonstrate the practicality and reliability of HSM-MINs/MSPE. The present study provides a convenient, reliable, and green approach for fabricating a magnetic molecular-imprinting adsorbent for MSPE.

Abstract
Development of magnetic nanomaterials has greatly promoted the innovation of in-tube solid-phase microextraction. This review article gives an insight into recent advances in the modifications and applications of magnetic nanomaterials for in-tube solid-phase microextraction. Also, different magnetic nanomaterials which have recently been utilized as in-tube solid-phase microextraction sorbents are classified. This study shows that magnetic nanomaterials have gained significant attention owing to large specific surface area, selective absorption, and surface modification. Magnetic in-tube solid-phase microextraction has been applied for the analysis of food samples, biological, and environmental. However, for full development of magnetic in-tube SPME, effort is still needed to overcome limitations, such as mechanical stability, selectivity and low extraction efficiency. To achieve these objectives, research on magnetic in-tube SPME is mainly focused in the preparation of new extractive phases.

Abstract
In-tube solid-phase microextraction (IT-SPME) was developed about 24 years ago as an effective sample preparation technique using an open tubular capillary column as an extraction device. IT-SPME is useful for micro-concentration, automated sample cleanup, and rapid online analysis, and can be used to determine the analytes in complex matrices simple sample processing methods such as direct sample injection or filtration. IT-SPME is usually performed in combination with high-performance liquid chromatography using an online column switching technology, in which the entire process from sample preparation to separation to data analysis is automated using the autosampler. Furthermore, IT-SPME minimizes the use of harmful organic solvents and is simple and labor-saving, making it a sustainable and environmentally friendly green analytical technique. Various operating systems and new sorbent materials have been developed to improve its extraction efficiency by, for example, enhancing its sorption capacity and selectivity. In addition, IT-SPME methods have been widely applied in environmental analysis, food analysis and bioanalysis. This review describes the present state of IT-SPME technology and summarizes its current trends and future perspectives, including method development and strategies to improve extraction efficiency.
