Abstract
Molybdenum complexes are versatile and efficient for liquid phase olefin epoxidation reactions. Rational design of catalysts is critical to achieve high atom efficiency during epoxidation processes. Although liquid phase epoxidation has been a popular topic for decades, three key issues, (a) rational control of morphology of molybdenum nanoparticles, (b) manipulating metal-support interaction and (c) altering electronic configuration at molybdenum center remains unsolved in this area. Therefore, in this paper, we have critically revised recent research progress on heterogeneous molybdenum catalysts for facile liquid phase olefin epoxidation in terms of catalyst synthesis, surface characterization, catalytic performance and structure-function relationship. Furthermore, plausible reaction mechanisms will be systematically discussed with the aim to provide insights into fundamental understanding on novel epoxidation chemistry.

Abstract
Mesoporous silica sieves are among the most studied nano-objects due to their stable pore structure and easy preparation. In particular, MCM-41 have attracted increasing research attention due to their chemical versatility. This review focuses on the synthesis and regioselective functionalization of MCM-41 to prepare catalytic systems. The topics covered are: mono and di-functionalized MCM-41 as basic and acid catalysts, catalysts based on metallic complexes and heteropolyacids supported onto MCM-41, metallic nanoparticles embed onto functionalized MCM-41 and magnetic MCM-41 for catalytic purposes.

Abstract
Micro and nano-structures of a new mixed-ligand Zn(II) fumarate metal-organic polymer, {[Zn(tptz)(fum)].DMF}n (1), (tptz=2,4,6-tris(2-pyridyl)-s-triazine, fum=fumarate, DMF=N,N-dimethylforamide), were synthesized by sonochemical method. These new micro and nano-structures were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), IR spectroscopy and elemental analyses. Compound 1 was structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and consists of the primary unit of [Zn(tptz)(fum)]. Self assembly between the units of [Zn(tptz)(fum)] from Zn-O bonds results in the formation of a one-dimensional zinc(II) coordination polymer. The ZnII-ion in compound 1 has ZnO2N3 coordination sphere with a trigonal bipyramidal molecular geometry. Compound 1 was synthesized by ultrasound irradiation under different concentrations and times. The microrods structure of compound 1 with increasing of concentration and ultrasound radiation time were synthesized as nanoparticles structure successfully. So ultrasound radiation change morphology from microrods to nanoparticles.

Abstract
In the present research meso-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrinatomanganese(III) acetate (Mn(TCPP)OAc) nanoparticles have been prepared for the first time without any stabilizing agent or supporting matrix under ultrasonic irradiation. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to characterize and investigate the nanocatalyst. Rapid, efficient, facile and highly selective oxidation of a wide range of olefins by tetra-[Formula: see text]-butylammonium hydrogen monopersulfate over the prepared manganese nanocatalyst was investigated. Also oxidation of sulfides and alkanes in the presence of the (Mn(TCPP)OAc) nanoparticles were studied. The catalyst is recovered by filtration and reused at least five times.

Abstract
Magnetic nanoparticles are a highly valuable substrate for the attachment of homogeneous inorganic and organic containing catalysts. This review deals with the very recent main advances in the development of various nanocatalytic systems by the immobilisation of homogeneous catalysts onto magnetic nanoparticles. We discuss magnetic core shell nanostructures (e.g., silica or polymer coated magnetic nanoparticles) as substrates for catalyst immobilisation. Then we consider magnetic nanoparticles bound to inorganic catalytic mesoporous structures as well as metal organic frameworks. Binding of catalytically active small organic molecules and polymers are also reviewed. After that we briefly deliberate on the binding of enzymes to magnetic nanocomposites and the corresponding enzymatic catalysis. Finally, we draw conclusions and present a future outlook for the further development of new catalytic systems which are immobilised onto magnetic nanoparticles.
